This home was great for our family. A short walk to the beach entry. Keep an eye on the tide charts because the water does come all the way up to the wall that protects the houses at high tide. This is just a quaint and wonderful little town. The owners were very responsive and welcoming.

The best stay

The house was beautiful and the location will be hard to beat. So relaxing listening to the ocean each day. Kids had the time of their lives… even saw a seal and whales right from the deck.

Beautiful view and home

We loved this house! Other than the fact that there were no king sized beds and me and my husband are not used to bumping into each other all night, no complaints. Very convenient to all shopping and food. I’d stay again, with the hubby in a different bed LOL! Ocean was amazing.

Gorgeous Sunrise View

Lovely home set right on the ocean bluff. Tight fit in kitchen and downstairs seating area. Views were amazing, porch was lovely as was the covered area. One caveat to know - no grill provided which was a surprise and garbage is a bit tricky if you plan on doing a lot of in house cooking! Bring a cart to haul your own beach gear! Overall it was a lovely stay!! Great time with family and friends!

Great Beach House!

I rented this house for my family over the weekend. I have rented other houses on Foster Ave over the last 10 years and this one is probably the best one so far. It has an enough space and a great layout. You also can’t beat the back deck over looking the ocean. Most of the other houses on the street have a huge sea wall blocking the view, this house doesn’t. Also short walking distance to the convenience store visible from the house. We parked 4 big SUVs in the driveway with no issue. I will definitely be renting here again next summer!

Gorgeous Water Views from Both Floors

This house is beautiful inside and out, with plenty of seating for those seeking sun or shade. We had a few rainy days and the indoor areas were spacious for card games, conversations, artwork, meals. The upstairs family room (with killer views and the constant gentle sound of the surf) was the younger adults’ favorite area, with the generous first floor area providing seating on the couch or at the table. Kitchen was easy to use. The upstairs deck with chairs allowed us to catch a meteor shower one clear night. Outdoor eating area kept the lobster feast outside, and with covered porch was usable even in the rain.

Great location, great views

We stayed here with our large family to be in a good area near the Patuxet Museums (about 30 minutes away). We were also able to visit Salem (an hour and a half away), and the Boston Aquarium. There was enough space and comfortable enough beds to sleep in. Waking up to the sunrise in the morning, seeing the ocean life (we saw a dolphin, a sea lion, and heard a whale in the distance) was just wonderful. My children were a little disappointed that there was no access to the beach at the house but it wasn't far down the road. At low tide we were able to walk down and collect rocks/ play in the sand. The owner kept the house clean and had enough kitchenware/bottled water/ even a complimentary bottle of wine for our stay. If you do stay, the Jetty is highly recommended for dinner!

Beautiful Beach Cottage

We recently rented this cottage. It is a terrific setup with common areas facing the water on both stories. The closet was loaded with toys for my little girls and there was plenty of space for us to sleep- two bedrooms with queen beds and a third with two bunks, both of which had full size mattresses on the bottom and twins on top. The one drawback was it does not have central A/C, which is disclosed in the listing and which we knew about. The house did have two window units downstairs and some mini units upstairs but the upstairs stayed pretty warm. There were however fans that are provided which alleviated the heat somewhat. The house was very hot, again not surprising, when we arrived and took a while for everything to cool down. My advice would be check in early and get all the A/C units going. Otherwise the house was terrific and there is beach access about 100 yards north up the street. There are also some pretty decent restaurants around.

Perfect last minute get-away!

We were so excited to find this new listing was available for our last summer weekend excursion! What a gem!!! The home's ocean front location is spectacular!! We were greeted with seals swimming in the morning and an amazing double rainbow one night after the storm! Access to be the beach is just a very short walk, no need to drive, even with beach chairs. Delicious food options are also within walking distance, we LOVED Mae's and grabbed sandwiches there everyday!!! The take out seafood at Haddad's, lunch at the Fairview Inn and breakfast at the Jetty, rounded out our meals!! The home is freshly painted, bright and welcoming. Beach towels were provided and a quintessential outdoor shower meant we never used in the indoor showers. The covered porch area allowed us to remain outside, even during the storm. But the bonus was the stunning additional family room on the second floor overlooking the ocean! So comfortable and inviting!! This is a beautiful beach house!!
