Come relax at Whalebone Watch! This home is a newly renovated 4 bedroom, 2 bath classic cedar shake cottage in the private and peaceful area of South Nags Head.

You will enjoy beautiful sunsets from the privacy of the rear deck. The cottage is located just one short block to the beach access. Enjoy bike rides or walks along the beach path. Restaurants, shopping and entertainment are close by.

Home amenities include: linens/bedding only, Wi-Fi, cable with 4 smart TV's, interior/exterior sound system, gas grill, hot tub, new double headed outdoor shower, wrap around decks with dining and a ground floor tiki bar with refrigerator and cable TV and open areas for entertainment.

The Friday to Friday rental allows you to avoid weekend check in traffic and start your week off in a relaxing environment!

Air-conditioned accommodations at this cottage offer coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Kitchen and Living room opens to sun wrap around decks. Accommodations are furnished with a sofa bed and dining table. Kitchen offers refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and cookware/dishes/utensils. Bathrooms include a bathtub and shower. Guests can surf the web using the complimentary wireless Internet access. Smart televisions are featured in guestrooms. Recreational amenities at the cottage include a spa tub.

Great quick getaway

Everything went great and we’re very appreciative that this property allowed us to checkin on a Thursday and out on a Monday instead of the normal OBX pain of weekends only!

Great Time a the Beach

House was very well appointed with nice cookware, plenty of silverware, crab crackers, even spring water which I had already brought from home. Beds were comfortable. Great Sofa in the den. Our teen kids LOVED the pool and hot tub. We did not use the party room downstairs but likely would on another stay.

Peaceful pleasant

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental property was exactly what we needed! The location and all the amenities were awesome!!! We will be back next year!!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I couldn't find the key for the downstairs hangout room and when I called Carolina Properties the person whom answered was rude and told me that I had to wait 24hours. After telling her that it was not a maintenance issue and I would come to the office to pick up the keys she told me they close and 5 pm and it was not possible. Very rude and not accomodating. The keys were found next to the back door on a cabinet which should have been known by the property mgmt co. The grill was not cleaned at all and had a build up of grease. There was mold on the shower heads in the bathrooms. Should have been cleaned by the cleanign crew. The backyard was not private at all. The new pool was nice but you could see all of your neighbors and they can see you. Two of the fans in the bedrooms were just go from low to high and the light would turn on even though we didn't touch anything. The hottub had mold and dirt near the controllers.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived and the owner, John, greeted us!! Explained the property and showed us around. VERY nice remodeled home. Great pool which is brand new! Easy walk to the beach too. Fun tiki bar on the ground level with the pool and hot tub. The best of all is that my wife said it was very clean and she felt SAFE! Definitely will return next year.
