Nice Location

Stayed here for Bourbon and Beyond. Owner let us store our luggage before check-in, which was nice.

Clean and cozy

The place was clean and cozy, just would have preferred to know the house rules prior to booking. My husband and I came down for the dog show and planned to have dinner and drinks. The home owner lives underneath the rental and asks for quiet time 9pm - 9 am which left us tip toeing in around 11pm trying to use soft voices.

Louisville, KY stay

My stay at this property was really good. Location was great for KY expo center. It was very easy to find parking . Spaces on the street. The only this I would say is that one of the beds slats came out while my daughter was sleeping. Maybe fix the bed. But other wise a 5 star stay.

The bed was nice!

The property owner lived downstairs and was very welcoming and gracious upon our arrival. The property was listed accurately, in Old Louisville, with original hardwood floors that made lots of noise when you walked. The king bed was the best part, very comfortable mattress, probably best bed we have slept in. However, the front window did not close proper, letting in lots of road noise and cold air. . Also the shower curtains were covered in mildew/mold, along with a very stained claw foot tub. The couch is extremely outdated and uncomfortable. After the first night we noticed a smell, like stale cigarette smoke or just old mildew. The property could just use a good deep cleaning.

Disappointed but grateful

This rental is the upstairs of a townhome duplex. The photos of the inside are accurate. It’s very pretty & clean and Sieglinde is very accommodating and kind. We were unable to stay upon arrival, however, because of the area & lack of security to the duplex. Driving in we saw some things probably notable of a college town in the evening, but I just didn’t realize what I was driving into with my 3 children. I spoke with the owner and she did refund my stay & while maybe not completely in agreement with me, she was very professional and respectful.

Wonderful charm and space!

We loved everything about this place except the couch. The location and amenties were spot on. Comfortable beds, extremely well stocked kitchen, beautiful rooms, well decorated. If only the living room seating were nicer it would be just about perfect. Window A/C units and ceiling fans worked pretty well, and thankfully it wasn't a terribly hot weekend. Highly recommended - we hope to stay again next trip to Louisville!

Very accommodating host

We stayed here for 2 nights and found the location to be a perfect mid-city spot. The host was very accommodating and provided a twin air mattress so our 3 kiddos could sleep comfortably. Gorgeous older building with a lot of the older features preserved. Added bonus was use of the owners Netflix and DisneyPlus accounts so the kids could watch a movie without us spending 10 minutes punching our credentials in. Thank you!

Base of operations for a week of tourism

The on-street parking was always adequate, even for our van. Because it is in Old Louisville it is best used as a base of operations for those whose business or tourist plans are convenient to that location, as the city is pretty spread out.

Old Louisville at its best

I stayed for six weeks while I was in trial downtown. Perfect location with a charming and comfortable feel. So glad to be able to have my pup with me. The property owner is responsive and accommodating. I accidentally left an item there and she gladly shipped it to me the next day. I can’t say enough good things about this property. I will definitely be back.

Wonderful long stay!

Upon moving to Louisville, we started the process of looking for and closing on a house. Unfortunately, hotel stays would be uncomfortable with dogs and children for over a month. The property owner had a sparkling clean property with all the amenities, along with both decaf and regular coffee and all the sweeteners, coffee pot, fully stocked kitchen, large living room and bedrooms. Beds were comfortable and clean. The price was amazing for being able to stay in old Louisville, and the owner is on site! She gave us some wonderful hiking suggestions, which we did do and loved! Always prompt to reply, and as accommodating as you can possibly get! We loved the property and the owner! Highly recommend this place to anyone needing to stay in Louisville area! So close to downtown and the university!

Great place next to everything!

My friend and I stood here for 2 nights. Check in and check out was a breeze, there were extra comfy bed sheets. Has a nice balcony, very retro cozy apartment. Loved it, would absolutely stay here again. 10 minutes from everything in Louisville. We came for a concert and the Uber to the convention center was only a few bucks. There is plenty of space to park your car.

Charming, clean, & cozy

Absolutely loved our stay in Louisville. The property is centrally located. Did not expect it to be so big. Super clean – did not use the kitchen at all but it was definitely well stocked.Bedding and towels were high quality. Appreciated the black out curtains in the bedroom. They were thoughtful touches everywhere. Easy on street parking. I would definitely book it again!

Very comfortable stay.

Located in the beauty of a historic area of Louisville. Near (walk-able to many) hospitals, restaurants and parks. Was able to have a great 5 mile run to river and back, right up first street. On bus route and not far from airport. Comfortable beds and living space. Good flight of stairs and a claw-foot shower/tub combo, so need to be healthy and pretty agile to stay. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect weekend in Old Louisville!

Spacious, sunlit, the most comfortable bed ever, good air conditioning, well stocked kitchen, this place was wonderfully comfortable and inviting. It was central to everywhere we wanted to be for our getaway. Our host Sieglinde was amicable and helpful. We were so super happy with our choice of staying here!

Loved the upstairs unit. Fantastic amenities including coffee, full kitchen, tv, and huge space to relax. The host could not have been anymore polite and you can goes to great lengths to makes sure the place is up to standard. Awesome spot.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay the apt. was spacious, clean, and air-conditioned. I cooked all our meals. The neighborhood was lovely to walk in. And the owner was very responsive.

We stayed a week while attending the Jr. National Swine show at the Expo Center. Appreciated the chilled wine on my first evening. Great directions for use of everything in the house. Asked for additional towels and they appeared. On street parking was challenging for those that haven't had to do it in a long while. House was well equipped. Enjoyed our stay.
