A great escape to call home with your four legged friends. Very peaceful space. There are other renters using the property with their dogs too. So be aware of that. The cottage has a charming rustic appeal. If you have a boat the deck is the perfect place to tie off at the dock. Very pretty. And they redid the wood. Not rickety! Thanks! All in all a great place to stay for the price paid.

Great place to stay. Would recommend. We were fishing nice cleaning station. Was able to tie boat to dock. So no pulling boat in and out. Owner is very nice and quick to respond with questions. I’ll be back.

Clean, great location to stay, fantastic fish cleaning area, easy to park the boat and people in charge were around if we needed anything. We hope to be back!

Had a double booking, so the hosts put us into a trailer, which was ok with us. They were very apologetic, and tried their best to be accommodating. We had a good stay.

Great weekend getaway

My husband and I had a great weekend away here! The location is great— very close to Lakeside, Marblehead and Catawba Island were easy drives. A word of advice, if you’re visiting in the fall, be sure to pack appropriately, there is not central heating and cozy pjs and sweaters were a must!

This three day vacation was meant to be spent close to the rented property with our two elderly dogs. Included in the list of photos was a shot of a private beach. This is where I envisioned our time spent 100 yards from the beach. We brought a sunscreen canopy and some chairs. When we arrived and took the dogs for a walk around the property, there was no beach. There was no beach access and no place to sit and enjoy the water except to stand on the dock. I have to say this was an extreme disappointment. And to make things even worse, the next day, the Canadian wildfire smoke descended upon us and the whole next day we never left the rental. This was supposed to be a 72 hour stay and we left after 43 hours.

Rock Harbor Cottage

The bottom bunk bed was not comfortable and the bed frame made noise with every movement. Close to great restaurants, bait shops, attractions and parks. Overall, the cottage was great. We will return.

Cute and Quiet

Property was exactly as advertised. Our stay with our 2 small dogs was ideal. We were there for an annual event hosted by a friend on Johnson Island. We had previously stayed in the dog friendly BW and that was awful. This cute little cottage with ample outdoor space was perfect. Very quiet and peaceful, would definitely do it again!

It was a wonderful relaxing time. I would highly recommend that house to anyone. I also wanted to thank Brad for getting sheets for us . I missed the email on what to bring but they went above and beyond. We Will definitely be back!! Jim and Cindy

Nice cottage, Perfect location

We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again for next summer. The cottage is small but nice, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the middle of Catawba and Marblehead, close to several good restaurants and public launch ramps. It was a short walk to the lake and boat docks were we had our boats tied up and left them in all week. The only draw back was that there is no electricity on the docks to charge the trolling motors. There was also plenty of room to park our trucks and boat trailers.

Clean and cozy!

Property was clean and stay was relaxing Only draw back is the neighboring trailer park. Not a problem but it is residential so kind of took away from the “cottage” feel when sitting around the fire. Other than that our stay was great!!

We had a privacy fence but the State of Ohio took it down so they could run their lines underground for dredging the harbor. It "should" be replaced this winter. Once it's back up you'll never know it was there.

Quaint little cottage

The cottage is very simple, which is accurately described in the listing. It is close to the water however you can’t see the water from the cottage and the only access to the water is on a very dated little pier. If you don’t mind not seeing the water from your cottage, this is no issue at all. Within driving distance (10-15 minutes) from most everything, but not in the middle of the hustle and bustle. Hosts are very friendly and helpful with excellent communication!

Relaxing

This is a very relaxing cabin. Had everything we needed and a short drive to stores, lighthouse and Kelley’s Ferry. We enjoyed our stay immensely.
