Spacious 6BR Family Retreat w/ Private Pool and Spa in Resort Community!

This 6 bedroom, 5 bathroom, pool home is located in the Solterra Resort in Davenport, Florida. The moment you step into the foyer you will feel right at home. On the first floor you'll find a King bedroom with a TV and full bath just off the hallway. The eat-in kitchen is a cook's dream with plenty of counter space, a huge island that seats four and fully stocked with pots, pans, baking dishes and more. The beautiful all wood dining table seats 10 comfortably. The family room has two full sized couches with a wall mounted 4K TV with surround sound. You won't be able to get your kids out of the first floor kids play room that includes chalk walls, play kitchen and coloring mats. And, not that you want to, but the extra large washer and dryer will help with keeping your clothes clean. Included: fragrance free laundry detergent & dryer sheets. There is a "secret" Harry Potter room located just behind the kitchen. Let's see if you kids can find it. Upstairs you'll find a retro movie loft room with 4K TV and surround sound. There are 2 king master suites located upstairs with beautiful private bathrooms and TV's. There is also a Queen bedroom with TV and access to the hall full bathroom. The kids rooms are simply awesome. The Star Wars themed boys room has a twin over full bunk bed clubhouse and tee pee. The baseball and flowers themed girls room has a twin over full bunk bed clubhouse. The kids share a full sized hall bathroom. Outside there is a screened in pool with hot tub. If you prefer to eat outside there is a beautiful all weather wicker table that seats 8. And four lounge chairs for you to work on your tan. Included is a large CLEAN propane grill. The pool and spa heat is also included in your rental.

The gated Solterra Resort has a clubhouse that includes a full gym (treadmill, elliptical, weight machines) but let's be serious, you are on vacation. There is also a small playground, resort style pool with water-slide and a hot tub. Grab a tube and float down the lazy river. There are tennis courts and a soccer (football) field as well. Then, relax and get a bite to eat and drink at Cafe Sol Bar & Grill poolside.

This is the second time my family rented this home…it’s that wonderful. This home is large enough to fit large families and still have privacy. Convenient to many popular activities and stores. Home is clean and has all the modern conveniences. The host Veronica is a text away and quickly responds to all questions or concerns . I would highly recommend this rental.

On the description of the property it listed the heated pool is included in the price but it is not. It’s an extra fee to have it heated. That discrepancy needs to be updated. Everything else was excellent, would definitely recommend.

This home is incredible, spacious and clean. Nicely appointed and well stocked with home amenities. I can’t say enough about the host she was wonderful very patient and kind her timely response to questions and concerns was beyond my expectations. I will definitely stay here again.

She is extremely accommodating and would recommend to anyone wishing to stay in the close location to Disney.The villa is extremely clean and has all the amenities and essentials you need on arrival.Have nothing negative to say. A fantastic home from home. Everything is as it says in the details. Very clean. We were 7 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for everyone to have their own bathroom and space. Would definitely use again.Only one small suggestion, a full length mirror would be useful somewhere on the upstairs landing so everyone could use it.

We stayed at this amazing house for a week while we were on vacation. The house was super clean and was super spacious for our entire family of seven. I truly appreciated all the communication and quickness to reply to any questions or concerns that we had we absolutely plan on returning in the future.

Family Stay At The Sunshine House

Great house, great host. Plenty of room for 7 Adults and two toddlers to spread out. The resort amenities were way to get to. Resort pool was amazing. Loved our time here.

Great place to stay

Loved our stay at this location. It had everything we needed, plenty of room and close to parks. Veronica was very responsive and made everything easy. I would highly recommend this property.

Harry Potter and kids theme rooms were great. The house was plenty big and decently stocked. The sliding door didn't lock so we had to wedge a stick on the track while we slept. Also the Vrbo listing stated a heated pool and hot tub but the emailed instructions we got a just before the trip said there was an extra 250 fee for that and it had to be requested in advance. The host said that there was no fee and the instructions should have told us how to turn the heater on, but that wasn't the case. So we didn't get to use the pool or hot tub all week because it was cold. Lastly the Vrbo list spoke to the club house and fitness center but when the checkin instructions came it spoke of an additional fee for that too. Seemed to be a lot of changes after the booking. Besides those issues, and it taking a very long time for the shower water to heat up, the house was good for us.

I can understand how frustrating it is to not use the amenities that were provided to you. Transparency is something I pride myself on and from my many reviews, communication and responsiveness is something that has consistently been noted. It's unfortunate that I hadn't heard from you until the day before you were checking out about the pool heat which was included in your stay and the broken lock. You told me you were confused with the housing instructions and I apologize about that. I have not had that issue before and typically if someone has a question they reach out to me directly so I can address it. I did provide my direct contact information in your welcome email and said to please reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns. The instructions stated that any booking made after March will incur a fee. You booked in February so that did not apply to you. Also, I don't get many requests to turn on the pool heater in the summer months. We do not leave the pool heater running daily. Guests typically ask how to turn it on when they want to use it. Putting that information in the instructions would allow guests to tamper with the system or leave running without my knowledge. I was then threatened by getting a "review". I went back and updated the listing to make sure that everything is VERY clear. Amenities charge is recent and out of my control. It is thru the resort and I feel it is a very reasonable price. $35 ONE TIME fee total for up to 12 guests for the duration of their stay. 13 guests or more is $45 total. That equals out to about $2-$3 per guest one time for their entire stay. None of that goes to the hosts, it goes directly to the community association. Nonetheless, I appreciate and understand your concern. I would never want my guests to feel like there are "hidden fees" so I went back thru the listing and instructions to try to make it even more clear so there is no confusion for other guests. The broken sliding door lock is unacceptable and addressed immediately thank you for letting me know and sending a pic and video. Hope you had safe travels back home and thank you for staying at the Sunshine House.

It was great to have a heated pool and hot tub when the outdoor temps were not great. Loved having private spaces for each couple and kids. Well-equipped kitchen and lots of towels. Veronica answered promptly when we needed access to the garage. There is a double stroller if needed (we could have left ours home!). The check in process for the entrance was long due to overwhelming popularity on a Saturday of the holiday week. 30 minutes to Disney when traffic is light.

Great House!

My kids and grandkids enjoyed the extra tv room upstairs! We enjoyed eating on the lanai! Resort is very close.

Great house for families

What a great house! The 3 King suites were perfect! The number of bathrooms was really helpful. The kitchen was well-equipped. The screened in pool was perfect. We would definitely come back to this house.

The home was exceptionally clean throughout, the rooms were accommodating and well stocked. The the pool and hot tub was well- heated.The owner was attentive and available through our 9-day stay. Our family enjoyed every inch of the house. The children loved the designated play room, pool area and entertainment center. We would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a vacation place.The resort location was great. If we had available vacation days, we would have definitely extended our stay. The sunshine house was absolutely amazing!! Location, accommodations, amenities just to name a few. The host is very responsive and super easy to work with. Our family is already booking our next stay here! I highly recommend Solterra resort and using vrbo to book!

We nicknamed this home Sunshine because of the bright and happy feeling throughout the property.

We have many kids and extended family that enjoy visiting Florida in the cold winter months. Having a big house where we can all gather without being on top of one another is a big plus. This home is 20 minutes from all Disney parks and 30 minutes from Universal Studios. We rented homes for years and decided to purchase our own for convenience sake. So, we added little touches such as a kids playroom on the first floor to keep them busy on non-Disney or rainy days. This is a very large house, so we made sure the dining table could comfortably seat 10 adults. Why stay together if you cannot all eat at the same table? There is a movie room loft upstairs with black-out drapes and plush recliner chairs. All bedrooms are professionally decorated with soft sheets. And all bathrooms have plush towels. We include hand soap, dish soap, dye-free hypoallergenic laundry detergent, paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, Decaf and Caffeinated K-Cup pods and a case of bottled water. Because we like checking-in and NOT rushing to the grocery store. And you NEVER pay extra for pool heat, BBQ Grill, Wifi, we believe that should all be included.
