This spectacular 4BR, 3BA, over 2,800 square foot family home (listed rates applies to 8 guests, additional fees for up to 10 guests max) will satisfy any family looking for oceanfront living and a relaxing beach getaway. Silver Strand beach is very quiet and rarely crowded. The house comes fully equipped from kitchen gadgets to beach toys for all ages.

Ring doorbell camera at front door and in the garage. This is for security as I often leave the garage door open. There are no cameras in the house.

Living room and master bed room boasts 70” flat screen smart TV. High speed wireless Tri-band Wifi 6 internet router. Blu Ray/DVD player available.

1 parking spot in garage and 2 parking spots on driveway.
Each floor features fire and carbon monoxide alarms.

This house features 3 separate patios, one on each floor for your enjoyment. There is a large patio and teak table on second floor to enjoy your meals to the sounds of waves crashing. The house is equipped with beach wagon, beach umbrellas, beach chairs, adult bikes (4), boogie boards (2), 8’ surf board (1), tandem kayak (seats 2), and stand up paddle boards (2), children’s toys, board games, football, soccer ball, volleyball court 50 yards away (need to bring your own net), badminton, and frisbees.

There are several highly rated restaurants nearby, groceries (Whole foods, Vons, Ralphs), and Camarillo Premium Outlets. Silver Strand Beach stretches over a mile long and offers great views of the Channel Islands, surfers, sailboats, and dolphins.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and offers a 6 burner stove for those who prefer to cook and two ovens. You can opt for outdoor gas grilling on the balcony while enjoying the ocean views. Revel the beautiful Southern California sunsets. Have a oceanfront beach getaway you and your family will never forget.

Always Great

We always enjoy our stay at the Slate. This is our family’s fourth time staying at this beach house and we’ve never been disappointed. Dan is a gracious host who is helpful and responds quickly. We look forward to next year!

Amazing vacation spot

My wife and I stayed at this location for our 26th wedding anniversary. We included our grown children and a family friend on our long weekend getaway and loved it so much. Although we live only 20 minutes from this beachfront home, we felt as if we were in another world. The ocean, sand and sunsets were spectacular. The house has great amenities that made the stay quite comfortable. We look forward to visiting again!

Wonderful week at the beach

Our family stayed at this home for a week in August. The views absolutely cannot be beat. The three stories in the home allow for big families to spread out and relax. Our boys loved the pool table downstairs. The location of this home is wonderful. It is minutes from a grocery store and delicious restaurants. We would definitely stay here again! The location

Paradise

This house is breathtaking! We came here to celebrate my birthday with our kids and my parents and we couldn’t have asked for a better house. Dan was easy to get a hold of before the trip and we didn’t have any issues during our stay. This house comes with so many extras ( pool table, boogie boards, bikes, two kinds of coffee pots etc.) Can’t say enough good things about the house, we are already looking to book our trip for next year!

Beautiful home on Silverstrand Beach

Oxnard is our home away from home. We wanted to stay on the beach and have a memorable time. This house is great. Dan was easy to communicate with. The location and views and second to none. We will return.

furniture old and chairs broken down and very uncomfortable. queen bed in kids section saged & unco

Too far from beach. All chairs sagged and broken down except one in living room that we all fought over. Bed in kids section rolled to the middle and was a real uncomfortable situation. Bunk beds unstable. Stove was always clicking . Fan in master was so dirty with dust devils we couldn't use it. We had crickets in the house . There was no pantry or anyplace to put our food. we had to leave it on the counter. it felt messy. The screen was of the master bedroom door. It had been off for a long time because it was rusting on the patio.. Couldnt open it at night. No airconditioning so that made it hot sleeping. The place is not kept up. There are scrapes and black marks on the walls. We stay in a beach house every year for the last 10 years and this is by far the worst one we have been in. As a result of this stay we will not longer rent a beach house. We have decided to take a cruise from now on. I suggest you go in and repaint, refinish the floors, and put new furniture in you place if you want to give your guests anything close to what they are charged for. By the way you were the most expensive of all our previous stays and by far the worst.

AMAZING SUNSETS AND SUNRISES OVER A BEAUTIFUL BEACH

We have stayed at this property a number of times and are never disappointed. Dan and Patty keep this property well maintained and well appointed. It is in a wonderful location and close to many activities and restaurants. We will definitely stay again.

Another Oxnard memory

We have been staying a week in Channel Islands for many years now. We have our favorite restaurants and activities so we always look forward to the next stay. We have staying at both Mandalay Beach and Silverstrand and we have enjoyed all the houses we stayed at. This house ranks right up there with the best!

Slate House stay

Perfect Place to Vacation

Our family had the best time staying here. We spent relaxing time on the beach, watched beautiful sunsets from the deck, played fun games and just spent quality time together. The house was perfectly stocked with everything you could possibly need and more! We can’t wait to go back!! Excellent hosts too!

Awesome Beach Getaway!

This property was perfect for me and my family. It is very spacious, the pictures don’t do that justice. The bedrooms are well separated so plenty of privacy for all of us. We enjoyed the rooftop fire pit the most of all! The only qualms we had were there were no hand towels or toiletries provided in the bathrooms and the windows were very dirty which distracted from the beauty of the beach. Overall a great little getaway.

The location was good, but we couldn’t see the sun at all , we drove 1 hour any direction to see the sun. Also the rug in the living room was very spotty, we couldn’t use the bedroom with the bank beds because there was such a strong odor, so we had to book a hotel room for one family. The house is not cheap, but no shampoo no body wash gel, nothing.

The condo was a perfect size for our family and had all the right amenities, including all sand toys, inside toys, towels, everything a family with kids could want. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to come back again!

January at the ocean

The house and location are very nice. I saw in a few other reviews there was a black pipe running along the beach. It was there when we stayed also. I believe from reading a newspaper article that this is part of a project to move sand from the harbor to the beach and that the project moves up and down the coast, so the pipe may not be there all the time. As it was January and we were not spending alot of time sitting on the beach, it wasn't a problem and the ocean and beach are otherwise beautiful. The house was comfortable for our family and the kitchen was well equipped.

Amazing home and location!

A group of us stayed here over the Christmas vacation and had an amazing time. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen is amazing and comes fully stocked. Being right on the sand in Silver Strand is unmatched, it is a gorgeous location with every beach toy you can think of right in the garage. The property owner was friendly and thorough, the check in/out process was the easiest we’ve had. Would highly recommend staying in this home!
