Peaceful beachfront. Spectacular view with private beach access.

For future travelers, we do indeed have a staircase that leads to the upstairs and the incredible view we offer. We do mention this in our description ( see quote below from our listing ) and if a guest has any questions about that we are happy to answer those before they book. “Please be advised that we do have a flight of stairs from the downstairs to the upstairs. That's common for a beach house such as ours with the magnificent view that we enjoy from the upper deck and the living room and dining room. It's an obvious piece of what's necessary to access such a view but if you have any questions about it feel free to ask us before booking” We apologize that the beds did not meet this guest's specific expectations. We frequently check in with guests about the quality of the beds and make adjustments or replacements when necessary. We had just done that actually and received feedback that all the beds were very comfortable. We take our guest's sleeping comfort very seriously and just recently invested in a zero gravity, adjustable remote controlled bed in the primary bedroom. Even so we were not happy to hear that this guest found the twin bed uncomfortable. We certainly want everyone to be happy and comfortable during their stay. While we, and many others don’t happen to agree with the assessment in this review we have taken this guest at her word and have taken the necessary steps to address the situation with that bed. This is the first time we’ve heard anything quite like this and we urge anyone considering staying in our home to please check out all of our overwhelmingly positive reviews. As we always do, we urge everyone to call or text us with any concerns and give us a chance to remedy any concerns during their stay, if possible.

Thanks. We strive to achieve 5 star reviews and usually do. We did mention the downstairs window you referenced to our housekeeper. The rain and wind on the coast do make keeping the outside windows the way we’d like them a challenge, especially if there is a gap between guests. As everyone knows the lack of a deep freeze this past winter has made the sugar ant situation a little more challenging this year. We have gone to great lengths to successfully eliminate this issue but when this guest mentioned spotting a few ants we immediately took care of those too. Regarding the needed deep clean- we do a deep clean a couple of times each year and did so just a few weeks ago. Of course everything is diligently cleaned and sanitized between guests as well. We are aware of the small stain left by a guest on one of the chairs and we assume that is the reference here. Unfortunately we were unable to remove the stain though the furniture was cleaned and sanitized. You gotta love the fun and different architecture along the coast and we definitely enjoy our home’s unique characteristics. No one has ever mentioned the hallway being too long before but it’s probably as long as it needs to be to accommodate the three bedrooms, bathroom and the gateway to the incredible view. Our beach access and view is unparalleled and we think it is the best view in Rockaway. We appreciate you mentioning it. We are glad you enjoyed your stay.
