Have fun watching Folly go by from the large private balcony; settle in with a drink on the cozy outdoor sofa and enjoy the sights and sounds of our beloved hippie surfer beach town we refer to as the “Edge of America”
Inside each apartment you'll find luxurious furnishings, including a comfy leather queen size pull out sofa for added sleeping space, a flat screen TV and cool vintage artwork to play up our hipster vibe. The open floor plan invites use of the well equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, large and small appliances and generous granite counter space, uniting the banquette and living area to make preparing meals and dining in enjoyable. The coffee maker takes ground coffee and has a cleanable filter, and a disposable paper filter can be used if desired. Both bedrooms have a king sized bed with quality linens, bedside furniture with adequate reading light, a flat-screen TV and custom furniture cabinetry.
Outside, the live oaks and magnolias shade the back parking area reserved for you to park one vehicle. You'll be just a short walk away from Folly River Park and Folly Pier, where you can fish, crab, catch a meal or shag-dance with locals. Each apartment has a beach cart and two chairs available to use when you're ready to head to the beach.
We are dog friendly! We have a one-time pet fee of $110 per dog for reservations up to three nights, and $150 per dog for reservations for four or more nights. The pet fee is added once your reservation is confirmed.
This home is 900 Sq. Ft.

PLEASE NOTE: The Location of this apartment is on the 3RD FLOOR and is in the MIX OF COMMERCIAL CENTER STREET ACTIVITY, you probably WILL HEAR NOISE. HOWEVER, because of its top floor location, THIS IS THE QUIETEST apartment in the building. There is not an elevator. There is a load/unload parking area beside the building. Reserved parking is one street behind the load and unload zone and is a 2-3 minute walk to the building.

Fun and Retro Apartment and Area

I stayed at the property on our travels home from college graduation in alabama with my two daughters, what a fun place. We walked in, the apartment was updated, fun decor retro vibe, very clean, perfect size, we really enjoyed the balcony. Its a fun area, we never needed to drive. We walked to everything, the beach, bars, restaurants, there is a bar/restaurant below. The area is quiet, people around are friendly. I would definately stay again.

Perfect for our Family

I stayed here with my 3 little boys. Everything was in walking distance but not to loud for their bedtime. There is a great little restaurant downstairs too. The property was clean, it had everything we needed and it was a perfect size for the four of us.

Nice place and location

We enjoyed our stay at this clean and inviting vacation apartment. It’s an easy walk to the beach and pier, and close to restaurants and shops. Check in/check out was simple. We didn’t cook there, but it was fairly well supplied. There’s a coffee maker, but bring your own coffee.

Great location, super cute apartment!

Great location, super cute apartment! My sister, two friends, and I stayed here to celebrate my sister’s 50th birthday! The location was awesome with everything we needed within walking distance. We took an Uber one time to go into Charleston for a little bit of shopping and a restaurant we wanted to go to, but other than that everything that we need it was right outside of our door! I was worried about noise from the restaurant downtown and being in the middle of everything, but we didn’t hear a thing! We had a fantastic time and are looking forward to making this trip again!

Amazing Apartment

The apartment was wonderful and had everything we needed. We loved the location - so close to all the shops and restaurants. Even though the Low Life Bar was on the bottom floor you never heard anything when in the apartment. The Property Manager, Brittany as well as Ali were amazing. They were very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely come back as well as refer this apartment to our friends and family.

Perfect Perfect Perfect

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. Close to everything. Perfect accommodations for two adults and two teenagers. Wish we had brought our pups. The write up said that noise may be an issue but we didn't hear a thing. And Center Street was jamming! The apartment has everything you could possibly need. Loved having the porch to sip coffee in the mornings. Don't change a thing!

Perfect location, super clean & comfortable, great porch

I have stayed in more than a dozen Folly rentals over many years & 106 E. Hudson definitely rates as one of the best. The open floor plan makes it ideal for hanging out with friends and family. All of the furniture was super comfortable. The beds, too. The bathroom and shower are the kind you'd expect to find in an upscale motel. The large porch is another plus. Finally, you can't ask for a better location. Restaurants and anything else you might need are within a couple of minutes walk and the beach is only a minute or two further than that. In other words, you can park your care when you arrive and not drive it again until you leave. This is an ideal rental for anyone looking for the full Folly experience.

Everything was great, except the beds

This is a great rental, that is well stocked. The location is excellent. I didn't hear any noise, even though there is a bar/restaurant on the ground level. The property management company is very organized and responsive. My only issue was the beds. The mattresses are very firm (frankly, hard IMHO). Tough for a side sleeper to go from a sleep number of 35 to a firm mattress. They provide 4 beach chairs in the unit, with a cart. 3 of the 4 chairs had broken straps (appeared to be from normal wear and tear over time), which isn't a huge deal since you have the cart, but it's a bit of a problem if you aren't using the cart. It's probably time to replace the beach chairs if that's meant to be a selling point of the unit. I would have rented it with or without them, so the chairs were just a bonus and I only needed one so I used the good one. Just as a fact, there's no air conditioning in the bedrooms, but that wasn't a problem in September. Not sure what it might be like in the summer. For future stays, the hard beds would be a deal breaker for me because I didn't sleep well, but they have several properties so I'd maybe ask them if they have something with softer beds.

Perfect Beach/town combo!

I came for a weekend of wedding dress shopping with my daughter and her CofC alumni friends. Folly was always her favorite, so we decided to stay where we could enjoy the beach after morning shopping. The busy eclipse/CofC move-in weekend left us with little choices, but this little gem somehow was still on the table. We rented it shortly after it was renovated - the girls and I adored the color scheme, the way the design flowed easily and made plenty of room for the 5 of us. Everything was pristine clean and perfect. Two big, comfy king beds accommodated most of us, and the pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable. Every amenity was available - multiple hair dryers, iron, make-up mirrors, tvs in every room, great stocked kitchen, voluminous fluffy towels, awesome pillows, even a beach chair and beach cart!! The check in was easy, and we truly enjoyed the location. It is a hike up those stairs, but fortunately, my girls carried all the stuff up and down for me and spoiled me. The bedroom on the street side is slightly noisy on the weekends, but not so noisy you can't sleep (and the ad warned us of the location). The girls in the back bedroom said they heard nothing. We loved the easy few blocks walk to the beach, the house conveniently right on a public side access foot path. We walked a few blocks to Taco Boy Saturday night, and the girls spent the night out singing and dancing. This was a joy, and Jeanette was a joy to book with. If we ever find ourselves back in Folly, this is definitely on the list!

Lovely Stay!

My friend and I stayed here for 5 days and absolutely loved it! Very clean, location is perfect, and the host was incredibly kind and responsive! One downside was that the pillows were not comfortable for us at all. Had to stack tons together in order to sleep through the night and not wake up with a sore neck. The only other downside was that there wasn’t an umbrella in the unit to bring to the beach so we did have to buy one but not a huge deal. Very minor details that wouldn’t effect wanting to come here again. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Wonderful location, clean space, highly recommend!

Booked this for a brief thanksgiving holiday and very pleased with the decision! The apartment was just like the photos. Very clean! Appliances are a little dated BUT we didn't come to folly to cook on the stove and do tons of dishes so they were just fine. The patio / porch is so cute and comfortable. Very short walk to downtown folly! Would stay here again in a heart beat.

Sweet comfortable apartment, walk anywhere

Very spacious, nice porch for watching storms, comfortable. Plenty of towels and dishes. Onlyting we did not like, were the steep stairs and noise from neighboring building. Once inside the apartment, it's all good!

Immaculate, comfortable and convenient to everything in Folly.

We came to enjoy the beach and meet up with family at Folly. The beach was a 5 minute walk only 3 blocks away. The unit was great and we were very comfortable. Loved to balcony sitting area and spacious open floor plan. We made only one inquiry and they answered immediately. It was also nice to have a cart and beach chairs provided. We would absolutely come back for another visit.

We had a great time & the space was more than enough for our family of 4. Cart + 4 chairs & an umbrella made it easy so we didn’t have bring much with us for the beach. Once the kids went down having a place below to eat/drink made it perfect!
