The place was perfect! We easily had room for our truck, trailer, and wheelers. Which is hard to find. On top of that the house was clean, modern, close to food, drinks, and gas.

This was a wonderful place to stay. Great location, close to a restaurant and a store. The house was spotless and had an overall updated apperance. We loved sitting on the porch watching the geese over the pond. Great communication with the owners. Would definitely stay here again.

Visit to Nemo

Really great place and just what we wanted. The home was as advertised and very spacious and comfortable. The garage was a bonus too. We enjoyed the very nice deck and views! The town of Nemo was fun and the Branding Iron was a great place to stop after a day of riding. Very fun trip all around.

Nice Side by Side home-base

The lack of a dishwasher becomes a big deal when check out is 10am and you are required to clean all the dishes before you leave. Host demanded to know why we were in town, seemed a bit overbearing.

We went out wheeling. The trails are really fun. Rocky and some were a little challenging We had a great time.

The rental was clean & just a few blocks from the restaurant & general store. Great communication with the host they even let me keep my truck & trailer parked next door for the day after we checked out.I will definitely stay here again the next time i visit South Dakota.

ATV friendly

My favorite thing about this place is the convenience of the riding trails for the ATV’s we brought. The bed I slept in was not comfortable at all, (not sure about others), and the water pressure in the upstairs shower wasn’t very good but other than that no complaints. We would stay here again and recommend to friends.

Great location to ride the trails. Wonderful home

We spent a week in the Black Hills and this is a perfect location to hit some great trails, with gas nearby at the Nemo Mercantile, and you can take in some sightseeing when you need a respite from riding. The home is nicely appointed, really comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with a lot of tools to prepare a meal. It is a really nice space for two couples and there were bathrooms on each floor with showers so each couple/family can have their own private space. The washer and dryer are appreciated for a mid-week load of laundry and we loved the use of the garage as well. Katharine and Paul are very responsive and are wonderful hosts.

Great place to stay for recreation in the Hills

We stayed here for a off road motorcycle trip. We were able to ride out of the house and be on the trails in a matter of minutes. The house was clean and had a good layout for our needs. Kitchen was fairly well equipped and there was enough stuff to get the basics done without issues. Living room was nice with a TV and dish. The Wifi is slow, but was OK for what we needed. It has a nice full sized washer and dryer. The place has a decent sized attached garage. Which came in handy for storing, working on and maintaining our rides. Also was nice to have our trailer and stuff locked up when we left the house. Not that you would pry need that up there anyway! Some of the "not the greatest" things worth mentioning: Cell reception at the house and in the area is spotty. This is not the owners fault, but thought I would mention it. Verizon and Sprint were the carries we were using(it is a vacation place, but makes things a little harder keeping wives happy when we are gone riding!) Plan on wifi calling or email to keep in touch at the house. The basement is not yet finished out all the way. Looks like a work in progress so I am sure it will be soon. So the blower unit for the Heating/AC is out in the open. It is pretty loud at night if you use the 2 beds down there and since it was getting cold we needed it running. So put the heavy sleepers down there. The showers are nice, but the water pressure is not so great. Only one at a time and keep the clothes washer off while doing so. Overall for the convenience, location, what we were doing up there and other local amenities it was a great place for our needs. We will be staying here again as soon as we can to enjoy the area again!

We fell in love with Nemo the first time we rode through the area. My husband and I love to ride the hills during the Sturgis Rally and on one of those rides we came upon Nemo. After that we made it a point each year of stopping at the Nemo Guest Ranch for dinner, or an early morning ride to enjoy the Nemo Volunteer Fire Department Breakfast. Finally, after just being a visitor to the area, we decided to buy a place of our own and spend more time enjoying this beautiful area.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Since buying our Nemo home we have broadened our outdoor adventures. We love spending the day riding our ATV’s over the many trails. On an ordinary ride we can picnic by an old, abandoned mine or find the trace outline of an abandoned homestead. My husband has also added the sport of turkey and deer hunting and can hunt in the forested areas right around our Nemo home.

During spring and summer the area is full of beautiful wild flowers. Short walks down the country road that runs by our house and you come upon countless wild flowers. I have started a wild flower picture collection of the many different flowers seen in this area and on our trail hiking.

There is so much natural beauty in this area; one simply enjoys the quietness and clean air.
