We would love to have you come and enjoy our home built off our family farm. We are in the heart of Amish country, making our house a perfect location for families visiting Lancaster County. With Country Housewares (locally called Amish Walmart) 200 ft down the road, the traffic on our back road consists of more buggies than cars. The quiet, peaceful setting will facilitate a relaxing stay. From our front lawn, we have a beautiful view overlooking our Amish neighbor's chicken and produce farm. We are only minutes from the popular Lancaster towns of Bird-in-Hand and Intercourse.

Our house includes four bedrooms and three bathrooms. Our large upstairs kitchen, with the small basement kitchen, provides place to accommodate a larger family or group. Our full size basement is a great place for family games, quilting bees, scrap-booking, etc.

With our parent's cornfield behind the house, our backyard is a quiet place to enjoy the night sky or sit around a small campfire.

Local produce, fresh eggs, and bake goods can be purchased a mile down the road at our Amish neighbor's roadside stand. Also, children will love Hayloft Ice Cream's play area and home-made ice cream which is around the corner from our house. Country Housewares is an Amish-owned variety store, or "Amish Walmart", and is within walking distance from our house and is a "must visit" for all guests who would like to experience Amish culture!

Best place to stay!

We love staying at this home; this was our second time. Lots of beautiful updates show the care of the property. We were greeted to a warm, clean home with yummy treats! The house was comfortable, spacious, and close to our favorite drops. The kids were more excited about going to the house than our activities and were talking about “the Pennsylvania house” for weeks leading up to it. I highly recommend this property!

Great for the Family

Really enjoyed the house and space to spread out. My kids really enjoyed all the things to do outside as well. Nicely updated and would stay again.

Girls getaway

2nd year staying at this place, Us girls from highschool love this place, we like the rural area, and the big back yard w the firepit. We shop and play cards at night! It’s perfect for us , does say their is a futon in basement area , but was none, but we made out fine , with beds that were there, Wonderful place to stay

awesome experience!!!!!

this house is in the best most beautiful farmland location with amazing views!!! the inside of the house is so beautifully and tasty decorated which gives you the feeling of luxurious amish comfort! the cleanliness is top! also so many things to enjoy for adults and kids alike... hammock, swing set, gardens, benches, couches ( lots of them) and MUCH MORE!!! we plan on booking this for next time!!!!

Beautiful Home

We loved the house, and it had plenty of space for the two families that stayed there for a soccer tournament. Beautiful backyard and close to dining and ice cream. The bedrooms were comfortable and the whole house was decorated beautifully. Only drawback for our group that included teenagers was no TVs in the house.

Beautiful spacious home

Plenty of the room for a large family with BEAUTIFUL surroundings. The home is welcoming and peaceful, with everything we needed. Close to all Amish attractions, which is why we here. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Great Stay

The house is well kept with wonderful views in a quiet neighborhood. Hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Downstairs has plenty of room for extra tables for craft projects. We have now stayed here 3 years in a row.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME

As always we all (3 couples) enjoyed our stay here. This is our 3rd time staying in this lovely home and before this vacation was over we booked the home again and will be returning in October! Also, the owners are great to work with and so accommodating!

Awesome

It was spacious, well maintained, very clean. They had many things like shampoo, lotion, spices ect available so if you forgot anything it was already there. They had extra blankets as well. Beautiful yard, very peaceful. They owners were also extremely nice and easy to communicate with. They even had a loaf of baked bread and a kind note on the table for us when we checked in.

Weekend Getaway

This house was very comfortable for our group of 9. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we would want or need. Plenty of towels for everyone. We had 3 vehicles and there was plenty of parking space in the driveway.It is located in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, close to many Lancaster attractions. We would love to return!

Shannon and I were born and raised in Lancaster County. I was raised on the 8th generation family farm that borders our house. As for Shannon, all her growing up years were spent on her parent's chicken farm only five miles down the road. So as high-school sweethearts, Lancaster County was all we ever knew until 2016 when God led us to teach at a Bible College in southern Indiana. Now with our seven children, we spend the school term in Indiana and come back "home" to Lancaster for the summer months. So when we're gone, our house is open for others to enjoy!!!

My grandparents built the house off the family farm as their retirement property. In the 90's, my older brother bought the house from our grandparents. Then in 2004, when my brother moved on the family farm, we had the opportunity to buy the home. So with the cornfield as our back property line, I never really moved off the farm. Being surrounded by both of our families, the picturesque setting, and the peaceful Lancaster county culture, there's no place we'd rather live. So because we've been so blessed, we'd be delighted to have you experience the setting we've been privileged to call home.

With the popular Amish towns of Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand only a few minutes away, our home is perfectly located for easy access to all the tourist attractions. Because Dutch Wonderland, Cherry Crest Farm, and Sight and Sound are so close by, our home is a great place to stay for a family vacation. With seven children of our own, our house is kid-friendly and perfect for a family of any size.
