Beautiful riverfront home surrounded by Amish farms in Lancaster

Discover Eagle's Branch River House, the perfect secluded riverfront perch to enjoy the sights and beauty of Lancaster farm country. Our three bedroom, two bath spacious home is ideally suited for a relaxing getaway with family or friends. It has a 'cabin' feel with modern amenities and is beautifully furnished. Three levels with master bedroom suite with its own private wraparound deck, modern kitchen, expansive rec room with river views, and multi-tier decks overlooking the river and surrounding Amish farms.

On a quiet gravel lane, you won't find a better place to unwind in the heart of Amish country! The Conestoga River is a designated water trail and popular for canoeing, kayaking, fishing and wildlife viewing. Our home provides convenient river access on a beautiful stretch of the Conestoga between the historic Bushong Mill and the famous Pinetown and Hunsecker's Mill Covered Bridges.

Most guests enjoy relaxing to the sound of the river rapids, but amenities include large-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and a Weber grill. Quiet and peaceful yet a quick 10 minutes to downtown Lancaster, farmers markets and all the sights and activities.

Also a short drive to many other attractions including Hersheypark, Dutch Wonderland, the historic Fulton Theatre, American Music Theatre, Sight & Sound, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm, Longwood Gardens, Strasburg Rail Road, historic Ephrata Cloister, Susquehanna River and much more.

For families: we have a pack-n-play with mattress included, high chair, books/toys and stroller available for guest use. Older kids (and adults) will love the foosball table and large screen TVs in the rec room!

Take advantage of our one-of-a-kind setting: we have two bikes for guests to explore Lancaster's winding farm roads and rolling hills, a private rustic trail through the woods along the river to one of Lancaster County's famous covered bridges, or you can walk from the house across the Amish farm path to see cows and horses. Evenings are great for enjoying complimentary s'mores or relaxing in the hammock by our riverside fire pit.

Have kayaks or canoes to bring along? There's a wonderful 90-minute paddle route that leaves from the house, passing two covered bridges, an eagle's nest and beautiful farms and homes.

Above all, this is a place to unwind, disconnect and recharge as you explore the sights of Lancaster County.

Quiet, Comfy and Relaxing

Everything about this rental was perfect. The property managers took extra care to ensure they left out age appropriate toys for the children in our group, which were highly enjoyed all week long. The location is perfectly nestled between Amish farmland and a peaceful river. Unfortunately the rainy weather we had did not allow us to enjoy the beautiful deck overlooking the river as much as we would have liked. Check in was a breeze and the house was very welcoming. The beds were also very comfortable! The handwritten note and fresh baked goods waiting for us upon check in were the perfect, welcoming touch. We would definitely stay here again.

Amish delight

We had an exceptional experience with our friends. This home is gorgeous and it is centrally located to everything we wanted to do. The setting is spectacular and our hosts went above and beyond our expectations.

lodging for a family wedding

We had a wonderful time at the Eagle's Nest! We needed a place to stay that was close to the wedding venue, and this place was conveniently located, far away from any traffic congestion and it was very cozy. We loved the picturesque location along the river, and my husband and I hiked the river walk and saw both eagles and herons. The Christmas decor was cute and there were a lot of homey touches that we really appreciated. It was a great place to relax and reconnect with family that we don't see too often, and we all agreed it would be a great place to return to in the future.

Relaxing Quick Getaway

We had such an amazing quick trip. The house was perfect, immaculately clean and everything that was described. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are spectacular. We felt very welcomed and appreciated the thoughtful note and treats. We would love to come back when it is warmer so we can enjoy the decks and make those s’mores! Thank you for a great stay!

Ladies Greenhouse Weekend

Three friends spent the weekend plant and flower shopping. We enjoyed Gracies on West Main for breakfast every morning and had a wonderful dinner at Osteria Avante in Leola. The house is lovely and well equipped, nicely landscaped and in a beautiful location. We enjoyewd the decks when the weather allowed. We look forward to another visit next year.

Great house, better outside

This was everything I wanted for my get away with some friends. The house is very cute, everything you would want from a cabin, but its whats outside the house that is really great. Not only is it surrounded by Amish farms, words, and a river - but the large 3 level deck, and campfire area kept us outside nearly the whole time. The property managers were very sweet and helpful when I arrived,, and gave me lots of advice about the local area.

Amazing Mother -Daughter Weekend

My Mom and I truly enjoyed our stay in this absolutely gorgeous home. We have stayed in a number of homes in various locations and this one is our favorite! Jack and Ginny are tremendous hosts full of kindness and hospitality. The location of the home is perfect for any Amish adventures whether it be shopping or exploring the beautiful area. The home itself is so nice you won't want to leave. It's spacious and decorated perfectly. We already booked for October!! Thanks again for everything!

Charming river retreat

Three friends got together for a girls weekend antiquing and it was just as charming as we hoped it'd be. The show stopper here is definitely the multi-level deck overlooking the river and the beautiful surrounding farms. Thoughtful touches from the hosts like a walnut bread and coffee, handwritten card, and all the supplies for making smores. Short drive to restaurants in downtown Lancaster. Highly recommend Passenger for coffee, the fresh pretzels at the farmers market downtown on Sat. morning, and tubing at Sickman's Mill. Would stay again!

Wonderful setting & home for ladies’ weekend!

The house was so cozy and welcoming. We walked in to see sticky buns on the kitchen table, freshly cut lilacs in a vase, and a lovely note from the property managers. We continued to the big picture window at the back of the house to peek at the river and right there sat a bald eagle! We found its nest nearby the next day. Spent lots of time around the fire pit by the water, enjoying the variety of birds and drinking Lancaster coffee that was provided for us in the kitchen. Peaceful, relaxing, near lots of things to do. Enjoyed Gracie’s for breakfast and Fox Meadow Creamery for ice cream samplers, and found two covered bridges close by. We hope to come back for another ladies’ weekend!!

Ladies Weekend

The house was so much more amazing than we thought it would be! Two of my closest friends and I spent 4 days of absolute relaxation in this cozy home with a beautiful view. We saw eagles overhead and a blue heron gliding over the water, such a sight! We also arrived to find a wonderful welcome surprise as well as spotless accommodations. The owners also thought of everything when stocking the house with items you might have forgotten. There was a giant binder filled with tons of information regarding the area, it was so helpful. We completely enjoyed using the map of the car tour of the local Amish farms and homes. We want to thank you for helping this group of moms get some much needed fun and relaxation, we left feeling refueled and so happy to return to our families.

Peace and quiet

My wife I stayed here for a few days to enjoy the fall weather. Everything was precisely as advertised and expected. The house had everything we needed, Emily replied quickly and thoughtfully to all my questions, and the neighbors were lovely. Wildlife was abundant - around the house/river we saw squirrels, groundhogs, heron, hawks and a couple of deer visiting the river for a drink. Nearby there are also lots of farm animals. The house is on a quiet road away from the hustle and bustle, but all the needed shops and restaurants are within 10 minutes drive. The house is very clean, but I found keeping the doorways clear with a broom/leaf blower helped keep away the creepy crawlies. You're gonna see spiders - just learn to deal with it, and learn to close the doors behind you. In summary - there is a very good chance that we will return. Great house in a great location.

Peaceful Riverside Stay

This house was everything we were looking for for a cozy, quiet place to stay for three nights and visit Lancaster. The home was spacious and comfortable, and we loved hanging out at the fire pit at night. The host left some extra special touches which really made our stay more memorable!

Weekend stay

Great overall stay. House was clean and comfy. Only drawback was the river was too high to play in because of recent rain, but nothing to do about that. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. They made us feel so welcome. The house was so comfortable and had everything and more than we needed. There was a sweet note and sticky bread to welcome us. We enjoyed everything about our stay. There were instructions throughout the house which made things easy for us. This included a book of the surrounding areas and places to visit. This was out 1st time on vacation in Pennsylvania and we loved it. We will be back! The managers are super sweet people. Thank you for letting us stay here. We just wish it had been longer. The description is exactly how it was.

Clean and accommodating

I was impressed how the hosts thought of everything. There were extra books and games for my child, there was fire pit stuff available for extra fun, and there was a big binder of activity ideas and restaurants. We felt very welcome to stay and enjoy our time. This home was nicely maintained and cleaned.

There aren't many homes on the river and you can feel yourself relax as soon as you turn onto the private gravel lane. The deck overlooking the rapids is our favorite place to spend a lazy morning. We love being in the heart of Lancaster County and surrounded by Amish farms.
