Dear Guests,

Welcome to our cabin!

Relax, Refresh and Renew in our Cabin while immersing yourself in the breathtaking surroundings of Grand Lake and The Rocky Mountains.

This beautiful, newly remodeled, Cabin is NOT part of a larger commercial complex of cabins (like Lemmon Lodge or Columbine Cabins) but it is a stand alone family-owned cabin. It is located in the quiet part of town where wildlife is louder than humans, and we love to keep it that way, so please no partying:)! The hill is nicknamed, Wood Pecker Hill, and it is located in the Historic Town of Grand Lake with walking distance to the sandy beach, the boardwalk on Grand Avenue and the classic hiking trails of Rocky Mountain National Park. The original part of the cabin was built in 1903.

Take in the stunning views of Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake, and Mount Baldy through the cabin’s open floor plan and big picture windows.

Breathe in the fresh mountain air and catch the Colorado sun on the large new deck and don’t forget to gaze at the Milky Way at night.

Cozy up by the wood-burning fireplace after a long day on the lake or in the mountains.
And experience the precious wildlife all around you. Moose frequently graze around the cabin, and we have seen Elk, Bears, Foxes, Owls and Eagles in the area.

This place will bring out your senses!

The cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 bunk bed) and 1 bathroom, our cabin is perfect for a couple or a family of four.

Grand Lake offers exciting activities and adventures Summer and Winter, with some of the best ATV riding and Snowmobiling in Colorado, mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking and the Grand Lake Golf Course which doubles as a Nordic Ski Center in the Winter.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin in Grand Lake. Cabin was very clean and had a great balcony to enjoy wonderful lake and Mountain View’s. It had everything we needed and look forward to visiting again. Host was great with communication.

We have been vacationing in Grand Lake and Grand County for nearly 40 years. We have stayed at a friend's family cottage, YMCA of the Rockies cottages, the little motel in town that was just torn down, a string of VRBO rentals, our own VRBO listed Columbine Lake cabin (7 years, sold after the fire), and back to a string of VRBO listings. I must say that this cabin was one of our favorites, right up there with our own cabin. It was perfectly maintained and spotlessly clean, the bed was comfortable, it had everything we needed for cooking, there are fabulous views of both Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake, and it has a vintage cabin aura. This last point is important to me. So many places that are available just aren't interesting. There is no history apparent, just too new for me, like staying in a hotel.One thing that separates this cabin from others of its vintage is the light. There are many large windows that make it bright and cheery, while blackout blinds keep the light out when you need to. I highly recommend this cabin. Maria was a joy to communicate with.

The cabin was cute and had a charming Swedish feel to it, which is what drew me in. I was disappointed that the actual experience didn't live up to the listing.The listing is titled “Views with a Cabin,” and the photos give a much better impression of the view than reality. The neighboring houses are very close. Most of the photos are taken from one angle, so I was surprised that many of the views from the cabin are obstructed.The bed was extremely firm and uncomfortable, and I had a terrible night's sleep both nights. There is already a review mentioning the uncomfortable bed, and I should have paid more attention to that. There is no air conditioning and no fan was provided. With only one window that opened, it was difficult to cool the bedroom.The location information is misleading. The listing says Adams Falls Trail is a two-minute walk away. But you probably want to go to Adams Fall and that trailhead, and Google Maps shows that as a 56-minute walk.Overall, the cabin itself is charming, but I think the listing oversells the views and location. Unfortunately, the property fell short of what I expected from the listing.

College getaway

Our son wanted a last family get away to Grand Lake. The cabin is very quaint and perfect for a family of four. Neighbors were very friendly-easy to get around town.

Great Place!!

This is a well-maintained cabin in an excellent location. Walk to the town of Grand Lake and just a few minutes drive to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. I'll stay there again I'm sure.

Lovely Cabin. Lovely View.

The cabin was quaint with beautiful views of Grand Lake both from the deck and inside the bedrooms/living room. The decor was tasteful and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The market at the bottom of the hill was very convenient for shopping. The only challenge was the steep walk back up the hill!

Cozy cabin

This property had amazing views and an ideal location for getting around. We walked to town to get breakfast and then just kept on walking to Adams Falls. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy an incredibly beautiful area.

Wonderful stay in Grand Lake

We had a lovely visit in Grand Lake at this charming cabin. The cabin was equipped with everything that we needed and my daughter loved the room with bunk beds. The location was great, far enough away from town but still accessible to everything. The neighbors were very nice and the area was quiet. We will definitely be back!

Cozy Winter Cabin

The cabin is super cute for a cozy winter getaway. The location is perfect and the views are amazing! We had a small issue with the heat, and the host was super quick to respond and problem solve. We will definitely be looking at coming back in the summer months!

Great mountain and lake vistas! You won’t want to leave the spacious deck or stop looking out the large windows. Gorgeous views all the way around. Everything you could possibly want or need is within walking distance or a very short car ride. This cabin is wonderful!

The cabin, and view were 300 a night… the master bed, was horrible… it felt like sleeping on a beanbag chair… I ended up sleeping on the couch for the 3 nights we were there…

Cottage With a View

This place was perfect! The extra large windows gave views of the lake and mountains in all directions, so beautiful to look at. The cottage was very well stocked with all the little extra's that come in handy. Very close to town and also the entrance to RMNP where we spent all of our time! We hope to return in the future!!

Perfect for family of 4

We really loved this cabin. The bedrooms were perfect for 2 adults and 2 children however a 3rd child could sleep on the couch that converts to a bed in the living room also. The kitchen was well stocked and everything was super clean. The view was awesome. We will rent again if we go back to Grand Lake.

This cabin has allowed us to create many precious memories and we hope it will for you too.

We fell in love with this cabin for its location and breath taking views. The cabin is located with walking distance to down town Grand Lake and the Rocky Mountain National Park and with views of the Rocky Mountains, Grand Lake and Shadow Lake. And best of all it is not a part of a larger complex of cabins, but it is a stand alone cabin in the most quiet part of Grand Lake!
