Taking a deep breath and enjoying this amazing view!

This spacious cottage is set back on 0.6 acres with a wonderful view of the Elizabeth River, on a secluded peninsula. It is a very special, unique, private and cozy place right on the river. The new sunroom is a wonderful place to enjoy the warmth of the winter sunrise. We offer:
- A clean beautiful waterfront home
- A beautiful fireplace
- Fresh organic eggs, teas, coffee, juice, snacks... while watching the sunrise over the dock
- WiFi internet and cable TV with HBO
- Great bluetooth speaker system for movies and music
- Luxury bath linens
- New waterview sunroom
- Dish washer/Washer/Dryer

We have registered the business with the city of Norfolk, and the city strictly only allows 2 guests each stay since the place has only one bedroom. For safety, the city also requires us to have a camera in the parking area.

We respond very quickly to your inquiries. We would rent out the place as short-term during January and February. We need a break too 😊.

The cottage interior was recently renovated including a new kitchen and floors. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig coffee machine for your morning coffee or tea to enjoy the sunrise over the water. There is a washer and dryer right in the sunroom for our guests' laundry. There is plenty of parking next to the cottage. We have recently had the back porch closed in with new big sliding windows around. Our guests now can still enjoy the beautiful water view during colder months from the new beautiful sunroom. Providing a great service to our guests is our main goal. We have been working hard on making the place nicer and nicer, improving service to make our guests’ stays more memorable, and always being available to help our guests with any concerns or questions. A 2 night minimum stay required; we only rent out the place for the entire long weekend, Friday through Monday. Thank you!

We have used a part of the money from our rentals to put in an oyster reef along the bank. This will help to improve the ecosystem in the Chesapeake Bay in the long run. Thanks for your stays and many thanks to The Elizabeth River Project.

According to Travelandleisure Magazine, top 20 America’s favorite cities in 2017 were rated and Norfolk has made number 1 this year. It was number 4 in 2016. The cottage is just 5 miles from downtown Norfolk and within walking distance of the Ingleside light rail stop where you can get an all day pass for $4.50 including use of the 10 minutes ferry to Portsmouth, another city right cross from downtown Norfolk on the other side of the river.

Andy was absolutely fantastic! Everything was ready as soon as we arrived and he was gracious to provide a quick tour and share highlights of the area. We appreciate how there were many "extras" provided in the kitchen (drinks, spices etc). We truly enjoyed our stay in the cottage !!

The cottage was exactly as described. The hosts were wonderful and very accommodating. Very peaceful and serene property and surroundings. Everything we needed was there, with a few extras. All of the little touches made this cottage feel like home. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area.

The host met us on arrival to give an overview of the cottage. Thank you for the small touches like the amenities in the fridge and around the cottage. We had a comfortable stay with no issues.

The property is as listed. It is a clean and cozy one bedroom cottage on the Elizabeth River. Andy and Mike met us when we arrived and Andy took the time to explain the sound system, tv, and tech. The beverages in the fridge, and snacks throughout the cottage were great in a pinch if you wanted something but didn't want to run to the store. There were also eggs, butter, and condiments for use in a fully stocked kitchen to cook and spend a quiet night at home. The bathroom had plenty of towels (even beach towels), shampoo, bath gel, and conditioner, and numerous hair products, and Q-tips. The screened in porch was perfect for enjoying the outdoors and still stay dry during the rain. Andy offered information on local activities and helped to orient us into the area as it was our first time in Norfolk. Andy was very responsive when contacted with questions. The hosts helped to make the stay enjoyable by being so open to communication and questionsThe house was tastefully decorated and included personal art pieces. Access to the washer/dryer was helpful for having clean clothes packed so laundry didn't have to be done after the long trip home. The cozy cottage, open communication with Andy and Mike, waterfront setting, and fully stocked cottage made our time in Norfolk easy, comfortable, and restful. Definitely go back if we are ever in the area. Thanks so much!

Loved this cozy cabin on the river

Everything was top notch. Cabin had lots of charm, hosts provided plenty of welcome snacks and beverages. We loved the outdoor deck on the river and the sunroom with comfy recliners with view of river. Host was very welcoming and always available via text, if needed.

Highly recommend!

Cottage was very clean and lots of privacy. Relaxing sunroom with nice view of the river. Our host was very nice and provided great recommendations for things to do nearby. Easy walk to light rail station to get to downtown destinations.

Holiday weekend getaway

This property was fantastic. This rental will be hard to beat for future rentals. The hosts were thoughtful about so many small details making our short stay so easy. We appreciated the snacks and drinks. The sunroom looking out over the water is where we stayed most of time in the cottage. Thank you Andy and Mike!

Perfect Romantic Spot

This cottage was perfect for my partner and I to get away for the weekend. I only wish we could have stayed longer. The host was attentive and quick to respond if we needed anything, but otherwise left us alone. I hope to have an opportunity to rent again from this hodt

Warm and Welcoming

Secluded cottage that has everything. Andy was the most gracious host that supplied us with everything we needed., Including details about the house, area, and restaurants and points of interest. Highly recommend.

Wonderful

Great place, better than pictures. Owners were great, and very helpful. Stocked with snacks, water, juices,etc, everything you need to feel comfortable right away after a long flight. Very clean and comfortable, and romantic. Perfect location, and beautiful setting, Close to shopping, and downtown. Would give more stars if I could, out of five, this place is a ten.

Lovely Retreat

We loved our stay at the cottage. Our first meeting with Andy and Mike as though we had known them a long time. They are so nice. Andy gave us a thorough tour of cottage and how everything worked. Extremely clean, well equipped, comfortable, and stocked with small amount of food, snacks, and beverages. The view of the Elizabeth River was wonderful. Will definitely return

King's Cottage

What a beautiful cottage on the Elizabeth River. The hosts Andy and Michael were amazing and thought of every single detail possible! We spent a lot of time on the deck viewing the water and even more time sitting in the sunroom! The fridge was stocked with drinks and snacks for us. The bathroom had any toiletry one could ask for! We absolutely loved the home!

My co-host and I have recently bought this vacation house, and we enjoy hosting guests and showing them the area that we love. There is so much to see and do around the Norfolk area. Getting to Virginia beach is easy, and the Norfolk International airport is only 5 miles away.
