My bride and I enjoyed our little time away in this cozy place. Close access to the beach was the main attraction but I will add that the host was very supportive of our requests, and we only needed to buy food because everything else was provided for. I recommend this place to anyone interested in a getaway with a beach nearby.

Fantastic hosts as far as communication goes. Very nice and informative. We stayed one night with 5 total adults and fit comfortably.

The house was just the perfect size for our family of 4 and the proximity to the beach was great. Its very nicely redone inside. We were very grateful they allow pets as we have a disabled cat who traveled along with us. Check in was simple and the hosts were easy to communicate with. We have a full size truck so the driveway was a bit tight to turn in with our other car parked there but we managed! We hope to come back!

Great space, close to a great beach, loved that it’s pet friendly with space for our dog to run around, a good park within walking distance, and host was very communicative. Loved our time here!

Booked for an overnight to Norfolk trip to a Tides game. Rental is exactly as described and very clean. Communication about rental, check-in (able to do early) was wonderful.

The house was exactly as described. The hosts were easily reached by cell phone. It was a great place to spend a week with the beach just across the street. We had a great time.

Loved our stay! A great location for the price - a few steps away from a beautiful park and the beach plus just down the road for new shopping centers, restaurants etc. . Listing is accurate representation of the property so read thoroughly. It is off a main road (not a highway) but we knew that going in and brought some small white noise machines.

Just an Ok Stay. Clean- updated kitchen - nicely appointed - AC worked well. Beds not horrible but not great either, they need toppers like the singles upstairs have for the old bones adults.The area is ok, not tons of things to do, but lots of good restaurants if you're just trying to relax like us.Hosts are friendly, helpful, and respond quickly.I'm from MD and tried VA beaches twice now. Imma stick with DE beaches. No fault of the hosts.

The beach house was exactly as listed. I would heed the information about road noise and the impact of street lights. Still, the beach was within walking distance, and the 6 of us fit in the space with ease. I would consider the space again in the future.

This house served our large family well. Within walking distance (across the road) to a public beach on the bay. The beach was never busy and great for walking and swimming. As others have said, downside is only one restroom but we were able to make it work.

Host was very responsive. Perfect place for a quick overnight girls trip. Enjoyed the privacy in the back yard and the quick easy walk to the beach.

This house is very practical for a large family. The only downside is having just one bathroom, which sometimes makes people wait in line :)) The proximity to the beach is great, and the beds are comfortable. Thank you!

5 Stars for close access (less than 5 min walk) to Ocean View Beach, public park next door with a Saturday Farmer's Market, outstanding water pressure in shower w/ nice nozzle.Cons were the tight driveway/rear parking (caution if you drive SUV/full size truck), house next door with abandoned vehicles in back yard, back yard trash dead fish odor, ceiling fans in bedrooms were broken, stairs to upstairs loft difficult to navigate for larger person (kids ok).Great value for our family and appreciated being able to bring our pets.

Great little house. VERY close to the Chesapeake and right off the main road on E Ocean View so really convenient to every thing. VA Beach (the wavy beach) as my kids called it bc the waves were bigger was only about 20 min away. Close to the mall and the outlet shops too. A great location. Yes it was noisy from the street at night but turning the sound machine up helped! Side note: It really would be nice to have room darkening curtains. Parking in the back was easy and convenient. We easily got three cars back there. I was surprised to see two guest rooms downstairs (I thought there was only one) the pictures were confusing. And four twin beds upstairs for the kids. We made the small single bathroom work. LOVED we could have our dog with us!! It was nice to NOT be on the main drag in VA beach and to be in a quieter coastal area on the Chesapeake-a laid back vibe. Close to some great seafood places like Captain Groovy’s , Chicks Oyster Bar and our fave was Stoneys Dockside only 5 min away.Also. Very responsive hosts, they gave all the info very clearly on the house and our stay and they were helpful in finding us a sup/kayak rental company that delivered as well as restaurant choices. I would recommend and we may stay again next summer for a quick beach trip. Great experience!
