The location was fantastic and enjoyed the privacy. The retro feeling was nice. Read carefully the instructions having to bring the bed linens and bath & kitchen towels.

We spent our 4th consecutive year staying here:) My granddaughters are now teenagers and we enjoy the porch and the house for our board games. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Highly recommend it.

We enjoyed this 60's-styled mountain retreat's location in a lovely friendly neighborhood with incredible views just 15 minutes from Boone and 20 to Blowing Rock, This clean home was frozen in time but modernized in the important places with new shower and refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. We enjoyed listening to the music provided as well as books and artwork of the time. The outside verandah was sprawling, a great gathering spot with grill but needed some cleaning. We did not realize we were to bring our own linens until last minute, so make sure to be prepared. The host was very responsive when we called for questions.Overall, great value, well equipped and perfect for an enjoyable getaway!

Great stay!

Had a wonderful weekend at The Pad. The house is charming, the views are beautiful, and we even had a visit from a deer family! We would certainly book again!

Trip with Granddaughters

It’s a comfortable, well stocked house in the perfect location,near the Parkway between Boone and Blowing Rock. It was our third consecutive summer visit in this house.

Another Great Stay

We love this place! Not our first time at The Pad and won’t be our last! Great location, cute decor, just all around terrific. Great place to stay for all ages! Easy check in. Very responsive host.

Great Option for a Getaway

We loved the retro decor, games, records and posters. The single floor layout was a plus for us. We enjoyed sitting out in the patio area breathing that cool mountain air. Great place for a summer getaway!

Excellent home! Lived the 60's vibe and getting to play some old 45's. The online info was spot on and the home owner was very prompt with checkin and out info a few days before which eased our minds considerable. The area and neighbor was teaming with wildlife and it was very refreshing to take short walks any time of the day. Will definitely stay again too!

Engagement on the mountain

My future wife and I had a romantic weekend on the mountain. We got engaged and our stay was the perfect. Our host was very responsive to any questions and directions needed. Excellent stay and highly recommend.

Clean, comfortable and perfectly located

We love staying in this area. The house had everything we needed and was well-equipped. I made inquires before reserving and some changes after, and I was accommodated by prompt responses from the owner every time.
