River View A-Frame Cabin in Yosemite National Park

Riverview is a beautiful, wooden, two-story, A-Frame cabin, with floor to ceiling windows that overlook the South Fork of the Merced River. The open plan living and dining area includes gorgeous floor to ceiling glass and a Fireplace. Major remodeling to the kitchen completed on Feb. 15, 2022. With three bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master suite, this charming cabin accommodates families and groups. Extra sleeping is available in the loft. Nestled in the quaint village of Wawona inside Yosemite National Park, Riverview cabin allows for the full Yosemite National Park experience. For 2024 you will not need a reservation to enter the Park when you are staying at my cabin which is inside the Park.

Yosemite National Park will require advanced reservations to get in for most dates in 2024, which can be difficult to get. But for 2024 reservations are required when you are not staying at a cabin inside the Park. You must still pay the vehicle pass to get in ($35).

Feel free to email me any questions you may have, whether you rented this cabin in the past or if it is your first time. I have been renting on VRBO for 20 years in Wawona.

Fantastic riverside cabin!

This is a lovely 3-bedroom cabin in Wawona, walking distance to the Pine Tree Market. The cabin is stocked with everything you might need for your stay: spices, condiments, coffee pods, complimentary snacks, all the cookware and utensils you might need, so many extra blankets, pillows, and towels. You are technically staying inside Yosemite NP, so you do not need to scramble for an entry reservation. (We stayed during Firefall in February. Although we entered the park during the week, had we entered on the weekend, we would have been in the clear. Did I still get an entry reservation to be on the safe side? Of course, but it turned out that I didn’t need one ). The queen beds on the main floor are super soft and comfy. The king bed upstairs is firm but still comfortable. If your partner snores or has Jimmy-legs, there are several futon sofas throughout the cabin for respite. Everyone will be comfortable! Bathrooms are large and modern and CLEAN. It’s a beautiful 40-minute drive from the cabin to the Tunnel View overlook north on 41, or a 90 minute drive south to Fresno airport. This is a solid property!!

Thanksgiving in Yosemite

Cozy cabin in a beautiful location. Well appointed, although a blow dryer in the master bath would be nice. The WiFi was pretty slow; that was a blessing in disguise, we did not watch TV while we were there!

Family Thanksgiving

We had an amazing Thanksgiving at the cabin. Everything was perfect from the living room view to the private bedrooms. The kids had places to walk and we enjoyed the river. It was very convenient to have the store within walking distance. We will definitely be booking again if you’ll have us have

Perfect stay inside Yosemite!

The house was perfect. So well stocked with everything we could need for our stay. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the park!

Yosemite Fall Visit

The cabin is right above the river as stated. There are other cabin/houses literally right beside you. That doesn’t show in the pictures. There are no blinds shades or curtains to provide privacy on 1 side which was disappointing. When we arrived there was a basket of snacks and almost all of it was expired. We had gone to Von’s in Oakhurst before we arrived so we had our own food, We stayed in October and some items had expired in July. As another guest stated the carpets are worn and stained in some places and there were large rodent traps under the stairs in the living room and upstairs in the loft. Other than that the house was clean. The soap dispenser upstairs had water downed liquid soap. It was watery and would not foam. The location worked for us. The valley was about a 50 minute drive but it was worth the ride and you are close to the Mariposa Grove. We had a hard time with the fireplace getting the logs that were provided to light. There were only 5 matches and there was a lot of ash in the fireplace. Honestly I didn’t talk with the owner much - when I had questions they were short and to the point prior to our arrival. I didn’t contact her during our stay because the things I have mentioned should have been attended to before we arrived. We stayed a week and spent $4300.00 and I just thought there was a lack of detail as I stated. I love VRBO and based on other places we have stayed at for the price point this is just my thoughts on our stay here.

Wawona hidden gem

We picked this cabin specifically to stay inside the park and avoid entrance time windows. The interior is very nice with updated bathrooms and kitchen appliances. Plenty of cooking utensils, plates and even a new gas grill. As the listing indicates, WiFi and internet streaming is slow and spotty. There is no AC, however the cabin remained comfortable even with 85 degree temps. The host was very responsive to our questions. We would definitely stay here again.

perfect home

This was the perfect place for our close group of friends. We spent hours after returning from our exploration of the Valley, cooking and eating together. Susan was extremely responsive to any questions we had. All in all, perfect.

A-Frame Cabin in the woods is a wonderful place to stay !

The property was just as pictured on VRBO . Our stay was made better by all the conveniences in the A-Frame Cabin. It was in the woods with all the comforts of home. We spent our time driving to see what Yosemite had to offer. Coming back to this cabin each night. The deck was our place to unwind in the evening and have a bit of coffee in the morning. Clean, comfortable & beautiful- what more could you want. It will not disappoint you.

Nice stay

We had a nice stay here while we were visiting Yosemite. Nice house and pretty river near by. The drive to the valley/ glacier point was less then an hr drive so a decent location so we could see everything within the park.

Peaceful retreat

We stayed here with another couple while visiting Yosemite NP. Very spacious and a lively, quiet setting. Beds were very comfy. Carpets could use cleaning after the summer season and the grill wasnt operational but overall we had a very pleasant stay. Owner communication was great.

Weekend getaway

We picked this place based on good pictures and closeness to the creek below. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and plenty of room for 4 adults. Loved being in the park and close to everything we needed. Upstairs room was a little hot but everything else was very good!

Amazing house in Yosemite

The house was so comfortable for our family group. It was conveniently located within Yosemite park, so there was no hassle having to enter each day. It was a little difficult to locate in the dark with limited cell signal, but once we found it, everything was perfect.

Honestly, one of our best stays anywhere & ever. Gorgeous cabin, beautifully presented in an idyllic spot. So peaceful, so cosy, and thanks to the shady trees, always nicely cool. Just wonderful in so many ways. Would love to return one day.

Family trip

Only had 2 full days to stay, but we checked all the boxes. Wonderful location in the park, with a swimming hole that we used both days. Please note that if you do anything on the outside of the park (horseback riding, lunch/dinner), you will have to wait in that 1 hour-long line to get back into Yosemite! Lesson learned the hard way. Canceled all of the other meals & out-of-the-park plans after that! Beautiful house & scenery! We had everything we needed to cook at the cabin. Corner store was great for last minute items. A rattlesnake greeted me on the path down the back trail to the swim hole - not surprising to me, but be aware they are here & watch your step. Thank you for a fantastic stay!!!

Exceeded our expectations on many levels

This home is a magical place to stay. It is very comfortable and has all amenities you can imagine. Susan is a wonderful hostess. There is a beautiful private waterhole that I swim in the last day of our trip. Maybe one of the most wonderful experiences of my life. This home would be great in any type of weather and I would say the host is a super host. The cleaner was very friendly also. The beds are comfortable. It’s very quiet.

Great location in a beautiful mountain home.

We have stayed here before, this time we got to enjoy the upgrades. New flooring, new bathrooms, and new kitchen. So nice and comfortable. The cleaner arrived at 3:30pm and we were finally able to check in at 7:30pm which was extremely inconvenient.

I am a third generation farmer near Fresno. We grow grapes, almonds and pistachios. I have had a love for the mountains ever since i was young. I spend a lot of time water skiing with my husband. We spend a lot of the winter in Costa Rica water skiing.
My sister and i just purchased this cabin together in 2017. We have had 2 other cabins before this one. We were excited to purchase a A-Frame cabin near the river. Something about hearing the river running that you cant get in very many cabins here. Hope you will enjoy this new cabin as much as we are looking forward to time up at the cabin

We have had a cabin in Wawona for the last 25 years. Always wanted a A-Frame near the river. There is not much of a turn over of cabins in Wawona. Most are held in the family for generations. There are really very few cabins inside Yosemite National Park. So when this one came available, we just bought it Nov. 2017.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Walk down to the river. Great swimming place right close to the cabin. Nice large deck that is in the shade. Enjoy seeing the river from the cabin and mostly hearing the river running from the cabin.
