Stayed at Winderness Wind several times and its always a wonderful stay! Jay is great and there to help with whatever you need. The cabins are rustic, clean and just steps from the lake. We plan to be back again next year!

We enjoyed our weekend trip and staying here! We stayed in the Moose cabin and I would say it was cuter than the photos! Basic cabin but well stocked and clean. We were also happy that we could bring our dog. Communication with the host was easy. Easy drive to Ely and Bearhead State Park. We would stay here again.

Dude! This place is absolutely fantastic. I dig the vibe and the community atmosphere. We met quite a few really cool people, canoed the lake, and just really enjoyed the rustic nature of the place. Thanks for the exceptional hospitality!!!

Wilderness Wind is one of our favorite vacation destinations and we were especially delighted to get the Moose cabin, which is our favorite! Jay is so incredibly hospitable and helpful and a summer would not be complete without a visit here. Highly recommend!!!

This was our 8th year at wilderness wind and never any disappointments! The Moose is our favorite spot, and the amenities were thoroughly used. Jay is the best host and and other guests were great also. Will be back next year!

7th Annual Girls Trip!

Us 4 ladies spent our 7th year at the Moose. The weather was perfect, Jay was a great host, the beds comfy, and the place and amenities were clean.

We had a wonderful stay. A charming little cabin for our family of 5 (4 year old slept on a mattress we brought). The highlight was kayaking at sunset and listening to the loons. I missed the detail about bringing our own bedsheets but Jay was so kind about it and brought us some extras he had. Would love to stay again!

Third time coming to Wilderness Wind, so relaxing and such a beautiful, clear and quite lake. We loved just relaxing by and in the water all day. It was great to have the canoes and kayaks availabe for use. Jay is a wonderful host, so friendly and welcoming! We will be back again!

The ideal getaway!

I absolutely LOVE Wilderness Wind, which was introduced to me by my partner. The cabins are rustic, the lake is beautiful and the people, are all so warm and welcoming. Definitely worth the trip from the city!

Quiet Retreat

We fished and relaxed. How was wonderful and kept the place clean. If you dont mind pit toilets, bath houses, and no AC, this is a great place

Get away

Property as advertised. Cabins are basic, but an upgrade from camping and clean. Lake nice, beautiful sunsets. Loved the canoes. Great location easy drive to Bear Head State Park or Ely.

Perfect

It was just as advertised, and better than expected. Host Jay was great, and the amenities like canoes, kayaks, and fishing gear (including the bait), free to use is terrific.
