Alohilani was the perfect getaway for our family’s staycation. The house is spacious and very comfortable, a home away from home! The kids loved the pool and playing hide and seek in the house, lots of great hiding spots! I only wish we could’ve stayed longer.Thank you to the host - this was a very special place!

The home was everything as advertised! The pool was amazing! We enjoyed Morning and evening swims! The property was beautiful and very comfortable! We will be back. One of our favorite Hawaii family vacations! Our Daughter was Married in Hanalei Bay this week and we got to come back to this beautiful home after all the festivities were done!

Feeling Spoiled

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was far better than we anticipated! The house was private, but only a block away from Poipu Beach. The rooms were all a generous size and the private pool was lovely.

The home was perfect for our family of 10. It was a short walk from the beach. The kitchen was well equipped with anything and everything you could think of! Beach toys, boogie boards, beach chairs were provided. Staff was very responsive to our needs. We’ll definitely stay at this location another time

Perfect Vacation Rental

We loved our time at this house. It is a great location and was even more beautiful than the photos. It was a great place for all of our family to gather and celebrate our parents' 40th Anniversary. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again in the future.

I gave this home 2 stars, the pros were location & pool in the back yard. Cons: the house had RATS inside the house. Called the host multiple times and complained about the rats. They sent out a maintenance man he set mouse traps. I also over heard him tell someone on the phone they need to send a professional exterminator. Only then did one come out to set rat traps. When I talk to the host about the problem, and that my young grandchildren were afraid to sleep in their bedroom ( they then sleep with their parents) I was told to go for a walk and enjoy the beautiful island. I have stay in many VRBO, this home by far is the worse. I was compensated 600.00 for the inconvenience, they did catch (1) before we checked out. Also there is about 6 box fans running to keep the downstairs cool, only AC is the bedrooms.

-The house is on rodent and pest control; pest control staff stated the rodents came in the house through doors left open by the guests. It was trying to get out of the house!! -The home is on a crater rim with an abundance of foliage, perfect habitat for pesty critters. -Maintenance and pest control were contacted immediately. -AC in all bedrooms, including the master, which is downstairs, near the living room. -There exists an abundance of windows, ceiling fans, and box fans in the house. -Nature provides cooling tradewinds here on Kauai, and as recently as 10 years ago, homes had no AC. -Yes, quit focusing on the negative and take a walk to the most gorgeous beaches in the US and the world.

Fabulous Family Reunion

We and our 4 married adult children (5 couples) spent 10 nights at Alohilani for our Christmas/New Year holiday reunion. It was perfect for us. Plenty of space and seating inside and out. Great location within walking distance of beaches. We would highly recommend and visit here again!

Paradise in Paradise

Beautiful house and property and a great location. Had house for a big family trip and everyone kept saying they wanted to stay longer. Kitchen was fully equipped, house was clean and very comfortable and each family had their own space. We would definitely book here again!
