Perfectly situated for coastal Rt 1 access--we didn't spend a lot of time at the cottage because there was so much to do in the area. The back deck was really peaceful and relaxing for a morning cup of tea before the day's fun. It was like sitting in our own private woods, with lots of birds and deer. The soaking tub was nice after a long day. The driveway was a bit tricky to navigate but we got the hang of it by the last day. Would definitely come back again!

Lovely, quiet, peaceful stay.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cottage was very well maintained, with kitchen well appointed. We loved sitting out on the deck above the trees. This was a writing retreat for us and we got a lot done in the peace and quiet.

The property is in a good location but take note that because of the steep hills and narrow road it's not really "walkable" to town.For the most part, the property was clean, with the exception of window frames and sills (and most windows were stuck and could not be opened), and the back porch furniture. The kitchen is a good size and works well for people wanting to cook, except for the fact that the non-stick pans suffered from flaking and the cutting knives were extremely dull and damaged, so most were unusable.The bedrooms (both upstairs) and upstairs bathroom were nice, though weird that there was no shower upstairs. There is a small bathroom downstairs with a shower.All in all I'd like to give this property a better review, but there were enough flaws to keep me from doing so.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The back deck was like a bird sanctuary; everything was organized and very clean. Fantastic location for a quiet getaway!

Short get away

Was in Cali for work and was able to spend a couple day enjoying the beach and Cambria with my Daughter. Very cute house, great location to relax.

Another great experience here

Loved this cabin on previous stays… even better this time with new laminate flooring and propane BBQ. Prefect serene, hillside location with forest view and easy access to town. Comfortable and well-equipped. Highly recommend!

The home is clean and has everything we needed. We enjoyed being in the woods, neighbors still close enough, for all the birds and deer to view. There are three things to keep in mind for convenience to the property. The street is a loop, so if one entrance is blocked (a box truck was unloading at a neighbors) we took the other direction on the loop to get to the home. Second, entering from the main highway instead of from downtown Cambria, requires a blind turn across traffic. I’d advise entering the street to the property from town instead of the highway, unless there is little to no traffic. Finally, there is a significant an angle down from the street to enter the driveway. We had to remove our platform hitch at the street and reattach it on the street before leaving as the angle was problematic with the platform on. Enjoy!

Nice little home that was close to town and the Christmas light show and market place

Older home that could use a little updating of plugs, carpet and downstairs bathroom fan, but satisfied our short stay. This place is within walking distance of the Christmas light show and market place and has a beautiful back porch area. Although I did mention some of the needed updates, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Lovely!

The home is nestled in trees and yet a short drive to the ocean. For anyone fleeing HOT summer temps in their home town this area is a gorgeous respite. The bedrooms are upstairs and the bathroom has a big bathtub with a gorgeous window out to the tree tops. For a shower you need to use the ground floor bathroom.

Funky little cottage

This unit isn't what I've come to expect from Scenic Coast property rental. It is very dated and not very comfortable. We would not stay there again again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter and I were so pleased with the homie feel of Holly Hill Cottage. Everything was clean & well-stocked. The bathtub upstairs is HUGE and so relaxing after a day of watching Elephant Seals & exploring the local beaches! The surrounding property was awesome to walk with our dog. We saw wild turkeys, deer, squirrels & a variety of birds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cambria & plan on returning. We will absolutely be looking for places through Scenic Coast Property Management.

We had a lovely stay overall. It's in walking distance to the Cambria Christmas Market. The cottage itself is very roomy and we loved being surrounded by trees. However I did hit my head on a low hanging branch over the deck. I was aware of it but going back and forth to the grill it was inevitable. Also there's an email they send out with the check in instructions, save it. I forgot about it and tried calling them, during business hours, and got no response. Found the email and had to go into town to get the keys. A little inconvenient but it's not far.

We enjoyed our stay, with our dog, at this home on a quiet street in a neighborhood just above the town of Cambria. The home was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cooking supplies. It is a two bedroom two bath home with the two bedrooms and one of the bathrooms upstairs. Note the upstairs bathroom only has a bathtub (no shower). The bottom bathroom has a shower.It is a 5 to 10 minute walk down to the town where you can also find a very nice dog park. There are stairs that you can take at the end of the road near the Cambria Pines Lodge. However, we used the hiking path which you can find off the corner of Rogers and Pine. There is a Dead End sign, but it leads to a dirt path down the hill.The only complaint we have is the driveway. There is a lip at the top of the driveway, which makes it difficult to get on to the driveway which is short but steep. It was a little difficult to back out of the driveway, but our SUV managed.All in all a nice clean house in a pretty neighborhood
