Our contemporary house features large windows, a hot tub, and eco-friendly amenities, including 28 solar panels and an EV charger in your private garage. It’s conveniently located a short drive from downtown Asheville, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Biltmore House.

The well-appointed kitchen, designed by Barbara, a former international chef, is perfect for culinary adventures and includes complimentary coffee, tea, and fresh fruit.

Upstairs, three modern bedrooms offer a cozy master with a reading nook and two others with stunning mountain views. The loft has a sofa bed and desk area.

We created this retreat for your enjoyment in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, ensuring your privacy while being just across the street for assistance. A Ring Doorbell and Camera provide added security, prioritizing your comfort and safety.

We’re very surprised and concerned to read this feedback, especially given our seven years of positive reviews and the fact that the home is completely surrounded by foliage, offering a great deal of privacy. We certainly never monitor or observe our guests in any way. If there was a sense of being “watched,” it may have been due to the abundant wildlife in the area — we frequently see bears, turkeys, deer, hummingbirds, and other animals on the property, which is part of the mountain experience many guests enjoy. We truly wish this concern had been brought to our attention during the stay. We were happy to accommodate an early check-in and provide a personal tour of the property, but did not hear of any concerns afterward. Guest comfort and peace of mind are very important to us, and we would have welcomed the opportunity to address this directly.

From start to finish, Jim and Barb and their property were fantastic! The pictures of the property are very accurate, there are notes on everything inside the home with directions on how to use, a user-friendly iPad kiosk in the kitchen to help with the home as well as local excursions. I 100% recommend this property if you are considering coming to Asheville, you won't be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Asheville. The property was close to everything we wanted to do: hiking to waterfalls, Blue Ridge Parkway, downtown Asheville, area breweries, etc. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and clean rooms. Even though the weather was too warm to enjoy the hot tub, the outdoor swinging chairs were the perfect place to drink my morning chai latte or coffee, even came across a bear one morning! The birdfeeders and screened in porch were the perfect place to play card games during the evening thunderstorms and watch (and listen to) the hummingbirds throughout the day- I had no idea they were so noisy. We enjoyed the family space to hang out with our grown children in the evenings. The hosts were attentive and texted a warm welcome.

Perfect stay in Asheville! The home had absolutely everything we needed and more! Beautiful relaxing property with great views and lots to keep us busy right at the house, Plenty of room for our group, and all of the little details at the property made a difference and helped us have a fantastic stay. They thought of everything! I really appreciated all the little things that were done to make the stay more convenient, e.g. fully stocked kitchen, clear instructions for literally everything, nalgene water bottles to pack for hiking, half and half for coffee in the fridge, a bidet on every toilet and yoga mats in the closet. We had rainy weather all weekend so didn't get to hike as much as I wanted, but we had a great time just hanging out enjoying this home.

If we could give them 10 stars we would! Jim & Barb have literally thought of everything. Every detail of their home is well thought out with the traveler in mind. The views are stunning, the inside and outside of the home are meticulously planned and curated for not just travelers to enjoy, but animals in nature as well. Their app is so helpful in helping plan your stay while enjoying some adventures along the way. Jim & Barb were extremely communicative and honestly the best hosts I’ve ever had. We will absolutely be coming back!

An amazing mountain property just outside of downtown Asheville. Lots of natural light and views. The hosts thought of dozens maybe hundreds of details to make being a guest easy. They have hiking sticks, rain gear, water bottles and backpacks for long hikes. The kitchen has everything to cook meals including basic spices, olive oil, etc. Enjoyed watching birds at suspended feeders outside of main living. All beds were comfortable! Easy to get in and out of property and not many stairs except indoor well-lit staircase to access bedrooms and outdoor hot tub. The beautiful landscaping and natural beauty of property is next-level. Water features, cute flowering areas and outdoor decorations were thoughtful and blended in with the forested surroundings. Just loved our 3 night visit in early August 2026 and plan to return as soon as we can. Teen boys (14 & 16) had a great time too. Did a white water rafting and zipline adventure at a host recommended site that will be a family adventure memory. And great wifi too. Owners Barbara and Jim really know how to make the guest experience superb!

A great stay in the mountains

I don’t know how to fully explain how wonderful this place is. Suffice it to say I have zero complaints or concerns, and that’s never been completely the case with anywhere I’ve ever stayed! I can’t even choose my favorite thing— perhaps it’s the sense of being up in the trees from every vantage point in the house. Perhaps it’s the ease with which you can get almost anywhere, including the Blue Ridge Parkway with its breathtaking views and variety of hikes, downtown Asheville, Weaverville, the Folk Art Center, etc. Perhaps it’s the responsiveness of the hosts, or the pristine condition of the house. Or maybe all of the above. I would choose this place anytime I return to Asheville!

Our stay was excellent. Jim and Barbra were the most kind amazing host. They went above and beyond to help us out of a situation we encountered. The house was spotless. Very organized and everything we needed and more. The location was perfect and the views were great. We would highly recommend their home.

Beautiful property!

We stopped in Asheville for 2 nights on our way to South Carolina and this house was perfect for our family. Plenty of space, very clean and lots of amenities. The kids loved the hot tub! Highly recommend staying here!
