The Thomas Jarrett House circa 1894 has been meticulously restored with all original hardwood floors, woodwork and windows. The Home is listed on the National Historic Register. This 4 bedroom 3 full bath dream home features a professional style gas range, 2 ovens, stainless appliances, an espresso and cappuccino maker and more. it is truly a chefs kitchen. This 2 story home has wonderful outdoor living areas; 2 downstairs covered porches, a beautiful brick patio and 1 upper veranda. It also has a large fully fenced yard. This home has 6 fireplaces, 10 foot ceilings on main level 9 foot on 2nd, claw foot tubs, flatscreens, wifi and more.

The Jarrett House is a few short steps from over a dozen of Asheville's top restaurants and pubs including Sunny Point Cafe, Jargon, The Oyster House Brewing Company, Nengs Jr., Universal Joint Nine Mile. and more. Want ice cream? Asheville's best The Hop Ice Cream is also a few steps away. There are a few great mucic venues, also a short stroll away.

Not only can you spend the day walking around town, you'll also be surrounded by mountains and waterfalls and close to several outdoor actives. Ride bikes to the beautiful French Broad River just over a mile away where you can tube, kayak, canoe or just walk along the river. Spend the day Zip Lining just 1.7 miles away, where you will also find whitewater rafting outfitters, treetops adventure, climbing, and rappelling. Some of the worlds best mountain biking is just 6 miles from your door. You can also spend the day at The Biltmore Estate just 3.8 miles away. Blue Ridge Parkway is 6.2 miles away, take a nice ride!

The house was fantastic and helped us stay together as a larger family during our stay to Asheville! We love walkability and were able to walk multiple times for meals and snacks!

Had a wonderful time. The house was a perfect size for five high school friends who are now in their 70s!Very clean and had all the amenities we needed.

Beautiful home, conveniently located for exploring Asheville. Very comfortable. We loved the kitchen since we cook for ourselves. Overall, highly recommend.

We loved the location and absolute charm of our stay. It was a great home base for our girl’s getaway. We were surprised that one of the listed queen beds was actually an air mattress. We had to adjust our sleeping arrangements, but we made it work. Overall it was a great stay.

Beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice! I could live here forever. Owner is very responsive as well. I can't possibly say enough good about this home. Looking forward to another visit!

We LOVED this house. It's a must stay. Easy to lots of cool places in West Asheville area. We made the easy walk to grocery store (all sidewalk) to buy what we wanted to cook during our stay.Highly recommend and we will come back to stay.

The home is beautifully restored; the beds and linens are top notch. The master suite is private and spacious. We didn't cook on our long weekend, but the kitchen was well appointed. We appreciated the owner's restaurant recommendations and tried many of the ones within walking distance

First, this home is on the historic register and you must realize that comes with squeaks and groans from old age. The plumbing and electrical systems have all been upscaled and the home has "Great Bones". Truly a pleasure to stay there , even had their own resident pair of rabbits, one of which greeted us every time we went out. Fantastic location as you were within 2-3 blocks of probably 20 restaurants and/or bars. You literally can spend a week without getting in your car. Owners were very responsive and professional. Highly recommend!

This was an awesome, eccentric, trip back in time! We loved this house! The walkabilty to all the restaurants and shopping cant be beat either, it was everything we were looking and hoped for. Contact with Mitch was always fast and helpfulWill definately try to stay here on our next trip to Ashville

Wonderful stay in charming home (return guest)

The property is lovely and well cared for by a responsive host. We’ve stayed twice with various friends and all agree that it’s the best option for staying close to everything with the comfort of feeling like you’re home.

Great family getaway

The house was the perfect place for a family getaway for my grown children and infant grandchildren. The layout was great for the family and the house was very nice and well stocked. The location was convenient to everywhere. We would definitely rent it again.

Amazing experience! I rented this beautiful home for the weekend as a Christmas present for my parents. To call this home beautiful is an understatement! Chalked full of history and charm. The owners have done a great job and you can feel the love and intention that has been poured into it. I encourage everyone to read the history on this home because it is fascinating. The host was communicative and great to work with. 10/10 experience. We plan to come back soon!

This is a lovely home in a very convenient location. It is walking distance to a lot of great restaurants, and the bus stop is also nearby so it's easy to catch a bus to get to downtown. We had 8 people, 4 couples. There's plenty of space to just hang out at the house. Our only issue was we felt the listing was a bit misleading about the bedrooms. The den/bedroom is a blowup mattress, which was fine but it would have been nice to know that ahead of time. The door to that room also doesn't close all the way or lock so there's very little privacy to be had in that room unless you put something in front of the door. We did, but our dogs were able to just push it open, so no privacy. The couch in the den is comfortable, so if you don't want to bother with the air mattress, you don't necessarily have to. Mitch was very kind enough to allow us to stay a bit past check-out, which worked well for getting breakfast at Sunny Point and hitting up a few more shops and not having to bring our dogs. The home is absolutely beautiful. It is very well curated and decorated. We'd happily stay there again.

The property was beautiful and immaculate. Mitch was a very good host , thank you for all the tips on where to eat and things to do . We used many of them . The property was so accessible to a lot of his suggestions .The kitchen had everything we needed and more . We had two vehicles so parking was a little tight but manageable .It was listed as four bedrooms but technically there were only three . The fourth was a blow up mattress that was used in the front parlor . It was not a problem for us as we slept on it and it was extremely comfortable .Just wanted to let you know there may be a slow leak in the blowup, we had to add air each night , which was not an issue , just wanted you to know . I will definitely recommend this house to friends and would rebook if I ever return to the Asheville area .Thank you again for sharing your beautiful historic home.

Hey there, i’m sure glad that you enjoyed your stay! And I appreciate you taking the time to leave this wonderful review. It is a four bedroom house, we just converted one to a parlor because I thought it would be nice to have a separate private living room, and we really wanted to put the power leather recliner in there. I’m sorry you had issues with the mattress. I actually think it’s because it was brand new. It’s a super high-quality mattress, but instructions say when it’s new it stretches out a bit and it feels like it’s losing air. Anyway we inspected it and I couldn’t find a leak. Anyway I think we may be getting a super comfortable sleeper sofa to go in there instead that way I can still have the versatility as a second living room. So if you ever come back, and we’d definitely love to have you! Ask me about it. Again I’m really glad that you enjoyed everything, and thanks again!

Long weekend in Asheville!

House was amazing and so well appointed! Owners were so helpful and accommodating. They made it so welcoming and crazy easy to check in and check out. Definitely staying here again! 10 stars!
