Serene Garden Retreat in a Charming Rancho Santa Fe Guest House

The Garden House is a charming two-story guesthouse with two spacious double bedrooms, set in serene gardens for complete privacy and tranquility. Accessible via a quaint bridge, it enjoys a separate entrance from the main house. Ideally located, it’s just a 5-minute drive to the luxurious Rancho Valencia resort and The Farms Golf Club. The beaches of Del Mar and Solana Beach are 15 minutes away, with Torrey Pines Beach reachable in 20 minutes.

First Floor: The open-plan lounge features two large sofas, coffee tables, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning garden views. A galley kitchen is fully equipped with a two-ring stovetop, large fridge/freezer, smart oven, microwave, dishwasher, and sink. French doors open onto a private shaded roof terrace with outdoor dining and seating, overlooking the lush gardens.

Ground Floor: The main bedroom boasts a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, and ensuite with a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet. The second bedroom includes a queen-size bed, ensuite with a walk-in shower, vanity, and toilet, plus a built-in wardrobe with extra drawers. A laundry room with a washer and dryer completes the space. Both bedrooms have french doors opening onto a covered patio with additional seating, sun lounger and private garden area.

My stay in the Garden House was far beyond what I had hoped for, offering delightful and thoughtful touches throughout. I loved the multitude of 6 ft. tall windows lighting each room and offering wonderful views of the private hillside gardens and grounds from every room. For anyone who loves to be close to nature, this feature ticked a 10 as I continued my exploration.Walking out onto the patio with my coffee the next morning I was absolutely enchanted with the multitude of bird calls and beautiful songs that greeted me!While I was incredibly impressed with the ongoing discovery of the many considerate and meticulous touches, the thing I loved most was the kind, friendly welcome and warm hospitality I received throughout my stay. I’m happy my husband was able to join me and experience for himself the lovely charm of the Garden House. We plan to return!

Our Host, Inga was warm and asked many times if we were comfortable or needed anything, The Garden House was very clean with updated fixtures, and comfy towels and bedding! Serene and private garden to walk through or enjoy your coffee on the cozy wrap around patio.

We had family coming in from out of town for a graduation and needed some place close. The guest house was perfect. Well-Appointed and a beautiful property. The host was incredibly gracious and super helpful with every step of the process.

It is 100% as described by the host, serene and charming. The guest house is only a few yards from the main house, but is completely private. Guests do not feel they are intruding on the hosts and hosts are always available for assistance. A very warm and welcoming family. The neighbourhood is safe, quiet, but close enough to shopping facilities and to beaches. We could not have been more comfortable and defy anybody to find fault with this guest house.

This was our second stay in two years, and we are already planning our stay for 2026!This home (I intentionally use this description), is not only extremely private, but the environs are serene. Inga and her family are most gracious. We attend the DelMar horse races; and are close but have the luxury of also enjoying the Valencia Spa (rated the best in California) and top rated restaurants.

Amazing place

This place is great, the host is lovey warm and available without being intrusive. It was so quiet and peaceful which is just the retreat we needed. The kitchen was everything we need to make food. The bedrooms were very quiet for sleeping. This is one of the best vacation rentals I have ever stayed in.

Gorgeous Grounds

The guest house was exactly as represented, very comfortable and well equipped. The grounds surrounding the guest house are truly amazing, quiet and tranquil. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, offering a number of great suggestions for places to visit. We definitely plan to visit again soon.

Friendly host; nice location

We stayed for 11 days waiting for our new house to be completed. The Garden House was very nice and worked well for our stay. We learned that although Arlo (the dog) seems ferocious, he is all bark and no bite and in fact is quite friendly. This is a nice place to stay.

The guesthouse is beautiful with love garden views. Wonderful outdoor terrace for meals or drinks.

The owners could not have been nicer in seeing to our accommodations and privacy. Everything was immaculate and up to date. It reminded me of a European hideaway.
