Cozy 1 bedroom cottage on lakefront bluff in Colchester. Just steps away from Lake Erie. Cottage has a full kitchen, 1 bedroom with queen bed, living room with sofa bed and love seat and 1 bathroom with a shower. Propane furnace for the winter months.
2 fire pits to use and a propane BBQ in back patio.

Walking distance to Colchester beach, marina, splash park and fishing. (About a 15 minute walk or a 2 minute drive away)

Cottage sits near the edge of the bluff which is about 20' high.
There is lake access nearby.
1)Colchester beach is a 2 minute drive away. Beach is best option
2)Walk down gravel road, pass cottage #44, left at cottage #16 and down steps to lake. Walk to right to rocky opening. Alternate way - From #44 walk toward left side of #19 down the gravel path and left at end of path to lake

Cottage is on the Essex County Wine Route. Many local wineries in the area.

Great spot to unwind and relax

This stay was a gift for our joint 60th birthdays this year from our kids and it was perfect! They had everything you need and the location was great. We went to the beach every day and tried a new restaurant for dinner every night. Would definitely recommend staying here for a getaway.

Quaint little Cottage

I enjoyed the cottage with my dog Mugsy. It was close to the beach and wineries and I was able To have my grandkids for visits. We loved this place

Only stayed here because the property I rented was not habitable. The photos are very misleading.

Cute little cottage

Very cute cottage. Perfect size for me, my husband and our small dog. There were lots of clean blankets and towels for use. Lots of local wineries in the area. But being so close to the wineries also means sounds canons starting at 7am daily. Even Sundays. We are early risers so was not a problem for us but something to be mindful of. We didnt meet the host but the neighbors we met were all lovely!

Cute little cottage, nice water view.

The cottage was cute and cozy. It was pretty clean except the bathroom had some staining in the shower. It was quite hot when we stayed so the tiny AC in the bedroom wasn't enough to cool down the place and we were quite warm at night. The yard was beautiful - big trees, nice fire pit, sitting area and decent enough barbecue. You could see the water from the front of the cottage, it was quite beautiful. The cottage is located in a small community of other cottages some rentals some owned. Most of the neighbors were nice with cute properties but a couple of areas were under construction and some properties had a lot of clutter and very busy traffic activity which is a bit distracting. Colchester was nice with decent waterfront and beach area.

A beautiful tiny cosy cottage away from home

We enjoyed our 5 nights stay at this beautiful cottage. At first we thought it was small from the outside but we underestimated it, it has all the amenities away from home. If you’re a 6ft guy you might hit your head a lot (LoL) but overall great stay. We will be back again! Thanks Alex

Pretty alright

We had a good time, however, I was expecting better access to the water. there was a beautiful view but we couldn’t really see it because of other cottages/cars. If you are looking for a luxurious rental, this is not the place for you. If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep and eat and then do your own thing outside, this place will be fine.

Good location, clean

Enjoyed very much our stay. The property around the cottage was large enough for our dog to walk around. Close to vineries, nice view of the lake, quiet and a lot of birds. For whatever reason no mosquitoes.

Great location!

A cute and simple cabin with all the comforts of home that you need. Tons of beaches and wineries around and only about half an hour to Point Pelee. Alex is an excellent host and very responsive to any messages. Would recommend!

What an amazing experience!!!

We had a great time from the start of our week until the end of our week! Alex is an awesome host 10/10 for hospitality. All the other cottages around this site are full of polite and friendly neighbours. The beach is a literal 15 minute walk and everything around you is just so beautiful. We loved it so much we booked again for later on in the summer!! I would reccomend this cottage to anyone!
