Livin' Easy - Not Expensively!

Great Value for a great vacation. Cute cottage is located on gulf side of island and is a 60 second walk from the beach on a designated walking path alongside the west side of our house. Eateries and entertainment are a few minutes walk the other direction. The beach is generally not crowded at this location and excellent for shelling and watching spectacular sun rises & sunsets. Private outdoor shower is great after a day at the beach. Large deck area available for your outdoor enjoyment.

Cook in our fully equipped kitchen or catch the island trolley to Peg Leg Pete's for your favorite seafood specialty. Nearby National Seashore & Ft. Pickens are wonderful places for undeveloped, natural island vistas. Walk to nearby beach shops for souvenirs and listen to free concerts on Tuesday evenings at the Gulfside Pavilion May-September. In nearby Pensacola is a historic district with excellent shopping. Come relax, watch your worries fade in the sunset and live easy for a time.

Sisters Trip

The Mermaid Cottage is a unique gem in Pensacola Beach. It has a great location to the beach, shops and restaurants. The cottages is very well maintained and very welcoming. It will sleep a family of 6 comfortably. The master has a king size bed and the second bedroom has two full sized beds. The full size beds were VERY FIRM. I'd recommend softer beds. Other than, I love the cottage. This was my second summer to stay in the cottage.

Great Little Home at Pensacola Beach!

Great home in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and stores! Very quiet! Well stocked kitchen and supplies! We will definitely be back! Bed was comfortable! Internet worked fine! See you soon!

Perfect location

This house is perfect! My husband and i stayed with our children. Our youngest 2 months. And it was perfect. Fenced in backyard was my favorite. And if course walking distance from the beach.

Great experience

This house is so cute and comfy, all the things you need, washer dryer, covered back porch, outdoor shower, all I would say is that I should have brought toilet paper and paper towels, while it is provided, it is not enough for the week. Coffee, creamer, laundry soap and dishwasher soap is all provided. I will be back, small little walk to the beach that was never very crowded. I had a wonderful well deserved time. Thanks Ella.

Paradise on earth

Everything about the home was perfect. Very clean and great communication. If I tried really hard I wouldn’t be able to come up with a single thing to complain about. Everything is right there for an awesome vacation. Plan on going sometime in October and will try to book there again. Just awesome ☺️

Convenience to everything

It was a short walk to the beach and convenient to all the restaurants. It was clean and stocked with the essentials that you would need. I did have a problem and was contacted immediately. Will definitely stay here again.

Beach Vacation 2023

The property was in a great location just blocks from the beach and an easy walk or drive to lots of dining options. The communication from the property manager was excellent. We knew exactly when/how to check in and what the expectations were before, during, and for checkout.

Great location

We loved how close we were to the beach, and the house was very clean. I would have liked some extra blankets, and it took us quite a while to find the laundry room (had to wash the house towels before we left). Other than that it was a great stay.

Beach Time!

The property was easy to find and was very close to the local shops and boardwalk. The property was very clean and well maintained. The decor was very fun and inviting. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. I couldn't find a toaster. Maybe there was one and I just overlooked it... The bedrooms were nicely decorated and had soft sheets. I slept in the bedroom with the two beds. The bed closest to the bedroom door is where I slept. It was not very comfortable. It was "ok", I survived... My niece slept in the second bed closest to the closet. She said that she slept just fine and was comfortable. My sister slept in the master bedroom, she said that the bed was "ok" and that it was a bit lumpy. It had a pillow top cover on the mattress. We had a lot of rain and so were forced to be inside. We watched a movie, but it was difficult to get "comfy" on the couches. The walk to the beach only took about 3 minutes. My niece found several beautiful shells at the beach. We definitely would stay again! Overall it was a great stay!!

Amazing cottage just a couple minute walk to the beach

This place was amazing with the hot water outdoor shower, stocked beach towels, and every extra you can think of or forgot to pack. It was perfect for myself, husband, and two young children. There were enough towels and bedding we could keep a good rotation going using the washer and dryer on site. The basic supplies stocked made it easy to cook and make morning coffee. There is a trolley stop right at the end of the block and great restaurants within walking or trolley distance. The mural makes it instantly recognizable for delivery drivers and shuttle people. Straight shot to beach access on a sparsely populated section of beach. Overall, this was a perfect beach base of operations for our family of 4.

Pensacola Mermaid Lounge

The house was perfect for us. A shaded outside area, walking path to the beach and walking distance to restaurants and boardwalk. Close enough to everything so you don’t have to drive but far enough down the beach for a quiet beach experience.

Good things come in small packages!

Was perfect for us! Short walk to the beach, away from the crowds, close enough to downtown to hop the trolley and get anywhere. Ella was very responsive and pleasant. Very relaxing stay.

Totally enjoyed!

Had never visited the Pensacola Beach area and weren't completely sure what we would find. We totally enjoyed our stay at Ella's place, it was perfect for us! Everything was as expected and is in a central location, a easy walk to almost everything we needed, and our pups were very happy! The only negative is that we didn't book our stay for long enough... wish we would have stayed longer! Definitely on our "will return" list!

Great stay again

3rd time we have stayed at the mermaid cottage and once again had a great time. House has everything we need for our beach vacation. Planning on staying again next summer.

Great Place, Great Price, Great Experience!

This was just what the doctor ordered! The house sits o the main strip on Pensacola Beach, but it's far enough away so you avoid the throngs of people and noise of the surf shops and restaurants (which were within walking distance.). My family loved the exterior look and we were all happy with the neighborhood, quiet surroundings, and quick access to the beach. The description of the property said it was a 60-second walk to the beach, but that's only if you walk slowly! Go out the back door, walk across the very spacious deck, go through the back yard, walk across a street and you're setting up your umbrella. The house even has its own outside shower to wash the sand away. It was beyond convenient! The interior of the house was amazing. Since my wife is originally from New Orleans, she really loved the Mardi Gras memorabilia in the living room. The house features a full kitchen that was perfect for making a few meals and allowed us to save a few bucks from eating at pricey restaurants every night. The master and second bedroom were very roomy and there was more than enough space for the four of us. All in all, we loved the time we spent here and would definitely stay here again!

Mermaid Cottage

My daughter, her boyfriend , our dogs, and I had a wonderful vacation in this home. I love the older beach cottages. It was very clean and cozy. I cook a lot, and kitchen had everything I needed, also a great gas grill outside. The beds were very comfortable. We loved the fenced in yard for our dogs. Also, the location is great. Walk to the beach was n ok r bad at all, and we were about 1/2 mile from most restaurants, gift shops, boardwalk. I would love to stay here again. The only negatives were the central area was set on vacation mode. We could turn the thermostat down, but it never got below 74 degrees, so we would wake up hot in the middle of the night. I did not call because it seemed to be in a preset vacation mode. Also, there was a WiFi camera in the living room. We just disconnected it while we were there.
