A Walk Along The River - stylishly renovated farmhouse with park like private yard surrounded by wooded State Park Land. Located on a quiet 2 mile cul de sac running along the Hudson River with multiple entrances to walking trails. The property offers full privacy. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch peeking at the river, enjoy an al fresco lunch under the shade of a magnificent wood pergola with large custom built concrete tables. Have a lazy afternoon reading or napping in hammocks shaded by large Mulberry trees, and relax in the evening with drinks on the back patio under a retractable awning. Night time star gazing can be enjoyed lounging in the Adirondack chairs surrounding the stacked stone fire pit while enjoying the glow and warmth of a campfire in your own back yard.
The home offers a fully equipped kitchen that opens to the family living room space with wood burning fireplace, flat screen TV with sweeping views to the back yard. A separate dining area with seating for 8 -10 guests opens to an adjacent living room for after dinner drinks and quiet conversations. The sleeping quarters are privately located on the upper floor and consist of three separate bedrooms and two full baths, one of which is en suite.
20 minutes to Hudson's renown shopping and dining scene, and the Amtrak station. 30-40 minutes to either Windham or Hunter mountain resorts. Easy access to the NY Thruway and 30 mins to Albany. A quick 5 minute drive to the charming river towns of Athens and Coxsackie and many outstanding local eateries, farm stands, antiques markets and watering holes.

The hosts were so accommodating and answered any and all questions that my group had. The house was absolutely stunning, and the backyard was our favorite place to relax. Would love to come back when it’s sunny out!!

Wedding at Bassin’s

Close location to our friends’ wedding venue, beautiful quiet road and surrounded by open green area - loved the work put into the bathroom designs

Beautiful, stylish place

This house is better (and larger) than it looks in the photos. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and the kitchen and even the bathrooms are enviably renovated. We did have a minor issue, but the hosts handled it promptly and kindly. We'd definitely stay here again. Bonus points for a ton of fireflies and deer.

We loved the house. It’s clean and new and well-appointed and quiet, the land it’s on is pretty and well landscaped. Highly recommend.

Perfect for a getaway with friend and infants

The property is vast and the house is cozy and beautiful. Clear separation of living and sleeping areas, great to share with another couple or young children or both! And just as important, Filippo (the host) is incredibly nice.

A lovely spot to unwind

The property was as described, and I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed the surroundings more. It's a short walk to a nice park by the river. The house itself is comfortable and well-appointed. I appreciated the easy style, the good WiFi, and nice kitchen.

Check in was seamless. The house was immaculate. The beds were extremely comfortable. The marble bathrooms were straight out of AD, this coming from my wife who is kitchen and bathroom designer. Very quiet for a perfect night's sleep. Brought our own bundles of firewood which made for a perfect Thanksgiving weekend getaway. Less than 30 minuets to Hudson NY for a great shopping experience. The Sonos Playbar along with the other 4 speakers created great ambiance throughout the house and turned me onto a new station KCRW Eclectic.

If you are not bothered but strong fake smells of laundry detergent and candles and oil pods in the outlets then this home might work for you. Unfortunately I asked the host if the cleaning people could or did use natural products and his reply was the "cleaning people are gentle". We spent two days washing sheets and towels to eliminate the odors but that was impossible. We bought vinegar to wash with.At the end of our stay we had no water in the evening to wash dishes or shower and the host came over at 8 am the next morning to change the filter. I think if they had been honest with me about the smell which seemed to be covering up mildew I would not have rented the house. So I guess that isn't important to them but my partner was highly allergic and had trouble with her eyes..I have never complained before about a vrbo and have always been happy but honest clear communication would have been better for us.What was nice was the privacy and the property and outdoor area as well as the media room and kitchen. There are many updgrades in the house but the bathrooms were not completely clean when we got there.The AC worked well .

Beautiful property and up to date home

We had a wonderful stay. The house had everything we needed and we very much enjoyed the outside area, the fire pit, outdoor dinning area, pergola etc. The bedding was very comfortable and the central air conditioning worked well. We enjoyed waking up to the sound of the birds. Only slight cons were the bbq and outside area needed some cleaning (possibly we were the first guests of the summer) and some areas of the kitchen could do with a deeper clean, but the bathrooms and bedrooms and living area were impeccably clean.

Fabulous!

The house is beautifully designed and an absolute joy. The owners made sure the AC was on before we arrived and on a muggy/humid weekend, that made all the difference. All bedrooms were comfortable with great quality bedding. The park-like setting was calming and peaceful and seen out of every window. The mornings are quiet on this residential street. What a lovely escape.

Weekend in Athens

House was beautiful and the outdoor amenities, including dining table, bbq, comfy chairs were all perfect. The hosts even set up all the wood for our outdoor fire. A lot of fun doing that, including marshmallow roasting. I cooked a bit in kitchen and it was well stocked with utensils. House is a quick walk to Hudson River. Nice morning walk on quiet Street. It was ideal house and ideal location for our weekend. The Town was fun too. Some of our guests traveled up on Amtrak and then took the ferry across from Hudson to Athens. Had so much fun doing that!

Holiday Getaway

We were a bit hesitant to book given the lack of reviews, but the pictures were so enticing, and our hosts were so responsive to our questions and full of great recommendations we decided to pull the trigger. ****What a great place!***** Easy drive from NYC and two friends came by Amtrak train. We picked them up in Hudson, just 20 minutes away. The house had all the amenities we needed for a great summer weekend in the country. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms all had ceiling fans and comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are gorgeous! There is beautiful outdoor space for hanging out, a great gas grill for cookouts, hammocks for relaxing and a fire pit for sharing stories over a nightcap. Accommodating hosts had the A/C ready for us after a hot day of exploring – Close to great restaurants and antiquing and we ended up catching a show at SPAC (only 45 away)! We will be back…maybe for a day at the track! Thank you!

We spent a wonderful weekend here with friends. There were three couples, and it was the perfect set up because each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. The house was beautifully furnished, and the grounds were well landscaped. It was so peaceful and quiet outside. As soon as we walked in it felt like a vacation house. The kitchen was well appointed, and we found everything we needed. The dining room table sat six of us with room to spare and was the perfect size for a game night as well. We cooked together for some meals and went out for dinner one night and brunch one morning. We enjoyed both the outside seating on the back patio and the rocking bench on the front porch. The air conditioning worked well and kept us cool (some of us too cool) in the heat of summer. The house was a short drive to Athens, Coxsakie, and Catskill. There is a lovely river walk in Coxsakie which we enjoyed after our dinner out. Our one complaint was that the descriptions on Vrbo led us to believe that there was a water view from the house, which there was not, although it was only a short walk down to a small beach. Overall, it was a lovely weekend with friends.

The house is as gorgeous and gracious as it is described and shown in photos. We were welcomed with a bottle of bubblies upon arrival-a welcomed detail after a long day driving to our destination. The kitchen had everything and more that anyone can need for a 2 night stay but we can see it being very comfortable for longer stays. Our hosts live just down the road so it was a nice bonus to be able to meet them. Great location and stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.
