Duke's Horseshoe House - on the Guadalupe River, across from Whitewater Amphitheater!

You haven't experienced New Braunfels until you've stayed at Duke's House on the Horseshoe! This 2,000 square foot home perfectly sleeps up to 8 guests with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths.

Sitting on high bank Guadalupe riverfront, the home is Texas chic and features an open concept layout perfect for gathering. Head inside where you'll be greeted by a spacious kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances, essential kitchenware, and bar seating. Just off the kitchen is a cute breakfast table for additional seating. The living room has comfortable seating and a queen sleeper sofa, a TV, and access to the backyard.

Just behind the living area, you'll find the master bedroom complete with a queen-size bed, TV, and an attached bath with a tiled walk-in shower. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed and is steps away from the second bathroom that includes plenty of vanity space and a shower/tub combo. The third bedroom includes a queen-size bed as well as an HDTV. There is also a washer and dryer available for guest use and a half bathroom attached to the back patio.

Duke's House rests on the popular 'horseshoe' stretch of the Guadalupe- putting you close to the action but on a piece of land that is high above the river crowd below. Duke's Horseshoe house is also within 2 miles of scenic river road, 2 miles of scenic Canyon Lake, and a short 15 minute drive away from Gruene Historic District, Schlitterbahn, and much more.

*** Please note, while this home overlooks the river, due to the cliff there is no river access directly from the property.

*You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 8 guests. We manage several nearby rental properties and therefore often have staff in the area. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay.

*No smoking or pets are allowed on this property. There is a limit of 3 vehicles unless otherwise approved.

Guadalupe trip

The property was very nice, just as described. It was very close to the venue for the concert and the river for relaxing. The AC quit working the first morning there and they couldn’t get anyone to fix it so we didn’t have AC the second night. After several weeks they refunded one nights stay. Wonderful location!

Backyard concert

This property was great, exactly as advertised. A quick walk to the river and if your neighbors are nice, they may let you use their river access. We came for the concert. You can hear the music crystal clear from the deck in the back yard. House was spotless. Grills were clean. Plenty of towels. We will book again. One suggestion to the owners would be to replace the pillows on the beds.

This house is amazing. Right on the river, so it’s just a short walk to float. You can hear the concerts from whitewater Amphitheatre as if you were there!

Great location !!

The house was very nice. The location to Whitewater Amphitheater was perfect. We enjoyed sitting back there and listening to Willie and ZZ Top on both nights without having to fight the crowds or find a parking spot !

The house was clean, beds were comfortable and location was perfect for walking to a show at Whitewater Amphitheater! Would definitely stay here again for a show!

Nice location. There were things that could have been better. The comforters in the beds were very dirty and the pillows were old and flat. There was a grill but it was so rusty and gross that we ended up buying one and leaving it there.

Great stay

Great stay along the river, was a short walk to get down but had a great time once we were down there. Best part is definitely the deck overlooking the river and can hear the music at whitewater amphitheater great

The house was great but the cleaning before our stay was not that great. I believe there was rotten food in the sink disposal which made the house smell like garbage at first until we cleaned it and had to spray air freshener. Also the floor made my socks turn dark gray on the bottom from being dirty. We enjoyed our time staying there and would recommend the house to others.. Perfect location for us as we were attending concerts at Whitewater both nights.

Perfect River Retreat

We went here with a plan of rest and relaxation! We found just that! The house was extremely clean and well kept. The location couldn’t have been better. We enjoyed listening to Miranda Lambert from the comfort of the backyard two nights. The horseshoe float is perfect! We definitely plan to return!

Perfect Get-Away Retreat

This was a quick vacation before school starts up again. The place accommodated our needs perfectly. Exactly as described but, with one added surprise; the covered patio! Very nice touch. Host responded to our concerns quickly. Hated leaving and getting back to reality.

We had a great weekend. The house fit us well except the half bath must have been outside and it was locked. We didn’t have access. Plenty of room in the main room for everyone. Really nice patio area.

Perfect location across from Whitewater Amphitheatre and less than a mile from tube rentals.

The house was immaculate and easimy accommodated our party of 7. We were fortunate to heat a concert at Whitewater Amphitheatre both Friday and Saturday night from the backyard deck overlooking the venue and the Guadalupe river. We were a short 10 minute walk to 3 area tube rental companies.

We love the location of this house! If you coordinate your vacation time with the Whitewater concert calendar, you can hear the concert from the porch! This is our second time to stay at this particular house and it won't be our last!

PERFECT PLACE

Absolutely an awesome location! Safe and beautiful neighborhood. We had the best time. Perfect for 6 private, or 8 as we had. We put an air mattress in living room and still had plenty of room. The backyard is wonderful to hang out and listen to the concert across the river. Easy walk to the Amphitheater. Also can walk to Shantz tubes. We will certainly be back this summer

Amwesome!

Our stay was more than wonderful! It was walking distance from whitewater and the public access from the Guadalupe river. It made our float trip and concert experience hassle free and very convenient. Hopefully next year we’ll be able to stay again.
