We understood this historic property would be quirky and full of character and knew E Jones Street would be a charming address and neighborhood. As listed and pictured and what the home is in reality do differ. The living room is comfortable and opens onto a large island and a small kitchen. The island is the only dining seating and it is on counter stools. The 3 king bedrooms vary quite dramatically. While 2 are on the 3rd floor, they are internal of the original structure and boast character one expects in an historic home. Sadly, the 3rd bedroom, the one on the 2nd floor main level, is quite disappointing. The king bed is comfortable, but you know your bedroom was once an open back porch that has been enclosed. It hasn't been done with the quality of the other 2 bedrooms. It looks it and feels it. Only 1 bedroom is en suite. The other 2 bathrooms are outside the bedrooms. Again, the 3rd floor bathrooms are spacious with large showers. Sadly, again, the 2nd floor bathroom disappoints. It is awkwardly laid out, with the stacked washer and dryer taking up a large amount of space. You squeeze between the washer and dryer and the small shower to access the toilet and a wobbly sink. There were no toiletries or tissues in any of the bathrooms so visitors need to bring or purchase their own. No welcome basket of coffee or tea is included so, again, bring your own or buy your own. The walled garden is a true respite and is private. The fountain, statuary, and plantings welcome.

In 1500 allotted spaces: The review casts false light of home & host. Necessary to present correct facts so future readers are not misled. Amenities provided: TP, PT, Soaps, stocked kitchen. Pictures of home are accurate. Supported by 8 years of 99% 5-Star reviews. Home built 1853 w/ original floors. Permitted to build 3rd bdrm approved by Savannah Hist. Foundation w/courtyard views. NEW, 3rd small bath-w/d was added so guests would not need to share bath upstairs (pic#6). Rare to have parlor level with a full bath in Hist. Home. Listing advertises 3 Kg BDR/3 Baths. Review falsely alleges listed as 3 “en-suite” baths. 1 Bdr has en-suite bath, other 2 bdrms have a full bath next door to the rooms. Guests appreciate 3 king beds & three full baths, which we worked hard to provide. Kitchen is accurately pictured w/lux appliances, seating for 6. Guest complained of VRBO booking process and had a negative disposition. We always assist in any way possible before and during check in. Guests were given early-check in, extra assistance throughout entire stay and showed no appreciation. Personally assisted a guest that lost code and locked out of home. He stated the home was exceptional. Guest was given detailed check-in information including local area recommendations they raved about and used. Last day, guest quoted “We are thoroughly enjoying the home and Savannah!” Guest enjoyed 50% off weeknight stay in a multi million dollar home. We take pride in our home and provided services.

Great stay!

We had a very enjoyable stay. The house checked every box … clean, inviting, comfortable, quiet, private, off street parking, great location within walking distance to so many wonderful sites and restaurants in historic Savannah. We highly recommend and would love to come back.
