Elk Trail Cabin is perfect for anyone seeking a relaxing, adventurous, or fun family getaway in the quiet town of Packwood, WA. Nestled on 2.5 acres, this modern cabin is equipped with up-to-date amenities, a living room view of Skyo Mountain, access to Johnson Creek and the Cowlitz River, a hot tub, lots of space for any yard game you could imagine, and plenty of privacy. Enjoy herds of elk grazing in the front lawn while you sip coffee in the morning or after an evening meal. Elk Trail Cabin is two hours south of Seattle and two hours north of Portland. From this property, White Pass Ski Area is a 25-minute drive, Mt. Rainier National Park entrance is 12 miles away, and Mt. St. Helens is an hour drive. Within a 10-minute drive, a variety of pristine mountain lakes and hiking trails are waiting to be explored. Whether you are an outdoor enthusiast seeking an adventure, or you are looking for a peaceful place to relax and read a book, Elk Trail Cabin is calling your name!

Pictures do not do this beautiful home justice! We were here for a wedding at Paradise on Mt. Ranier, and it was a perfect location to get there, along with many other places to see. We loved watching the elk who came to graze! Jesse was an excellent host and always quickly responded to my questions. Whether you are a couple or a family, you will love staying here!

Great location in Packwood, halfway between Sunrise and Paradise in the national park. Very spacious and quiet. Host was very responsive.

We had a great 5 night stay! We had plenty of space for a family of four. We loved the fireplace, the hot tub, the well-equipped kitchen, luxe towels, and comfortable linens. The space has a good layout and the deck is a fantastic place to relax and eat dinner. There was a forest fire 3 miles from the house during out stay but the owners were reassuring and gave us good information on the progress of the fire. We didn't need to use the air conditioning at all, even at the height of summer, because it's very cool at night; we just cracked the windows in the bedroom and the temp was comfortable. The location was excellent as well, as it's only about 30-40 minutes away from the Stevens Canyon/Ohanapecosh entrance of Mt. Rainier National Park. I would definitely stay again!

Lovely property in a beautiful setting! Cabin was as described and was well appointed with access to extra towels and bedding. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. The evening elk visits were magical, and the hot tub was a wonderful treat for sore muscles after days full of hiking. Beds, especially the loft king, were extremely comfortable. Plenty of space to visit, play games and hangout both inside and on the beautiful deck. Jesse responded instantly to questions, and the check-in/departure instruction were clear. The cleaning service missed some things, but this didn't detract from our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

The house was very comfortable, with plenty of room. The beds were comfortable. Everything needed for our stay was available. The host let us know ahead that the heating system was being worked on but the back up heat kept it nice and warm. Were conveniently close to town. Loved the big windows with a lot of light even on gloomy days.

Cabin was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed! We loved that the cabin was decorated for Christmas including a live Christmas Tree. Jesse was very communicative and responsive.

The visiting elk around sunset were amazing. We loved stargazing from the hot tub after a family dinner at the big dining room table. Great location for hiking in the National Park and then coming here to relax!

We had a wonderful stay at this home in Packwood! It was spacious, clean, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable. The location was perfect for exploring Mt. Rainier National Park, and we really appreciated the convenience after long days of hiking and sightseeing. Highly recommend for anyone visiting the area!

Beautiful property. Convenient to Hwy 12 for exploring the area, but remote enough to have dark skies for gazing at the amazing stars and Milky Way from the hot tub and deck. Great house. Hit all the boxes for a family experience.
