We enjoyed our stay very much! Beautiful property, definitely a big hike up the hill, but that was expected. And the steps/railings were helpful. The kitchen was stocked well, but lacked larger size pots/pans. We enjoyed the lake access from the pier, despite being there during the time when water levels were historically low across the lake. Plenty of water at this property! Laura was very responsive any time we had a question!

Hilly terrain ... just plan accordingly. Beautiful mountain / lake area ... lake access walk 100 steps down to lake for use of our own kayak. Home has Culligan soft water and purified drinking water a bonus.

We enjoyed a week long stay at this house. We really enjoyed the layout of the house and the setup. The location on the lake was convenient to everything. The steps leading down to the dock were quite long and steep, but we figured that by the pictures. I would not recommend for older people. The two big negatives were the beds and the living room furniture. All of my guests were displeased with the mattress comfort. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable for sitting. The cushions slid down behind the seat portion, so there was no back support.

We booked this home as a venue for my son’s micro wedding. Laura was beyond amazing to work with! She was quick to respond to the numerous questions the groom and bride had.The home itself was wonderful, the living room was a beautiful setting for the wedding. The bride and groom cooked both rehearsal dinner and the wedding meal for the guests and the kitchen (and grill) were perfect for that. The lake was low but that did not stop kayakers and fishermen from enjoying the beauty and the sunset wedding photos were gorgeous. Thank you for hosting the wedding of their dreams!

A great place to stay with friends and family

Had an amazing week with our friends. The property was great and will definitely keep this place in mind whenever we come back to smith mountain lake!!

We had a wonderful stay with our family! The home was beautiful, spacious, and very comfortable for everyone. Communication with the owner was excellent, making the entire trip smooth and enjoyable. Truly a memorable experience, we would definitely return!

Great place to stay!

This was a perfect house for a weekend getaway with some friends. Amazing location, house was clean, had nice amenities, and the host was great to us. Recommend staying here

Wedding Weekend

Thanksgiving stay

Although we did not spend Thanksgiving at this house, we enjoyed all being together in this lovely home. We especially enjoyed the fireplace and view!

High School Senior Trip to SML

The property was great. I took a small group of high school seniors here for a fishing trip. The location was perfect. The house was very nice and everyone enjoyed it.

Beautiful and felt like home!

We brought our 5 kids for a long weekend and felt like home. The house is stocked with everything you need and the owner was a dream to work with!

We had to cancel our stay due to a family medical emergency. The owner was responsive and helpful in providing necessary documentation for our travel insurance claim, which we very much appreciated. We are hoping to book this property again for a future stay.

Beautiful home on the lake

Very comfortable home for a big group. Well equipped with all of the amenities. Beautiful views of the lake. The deer visited frequently including a buck and a fawn. We had a wonderful stay.

Wonderful stay!

I had an amazing weekend at this house! The house was beautiful, clean, and huge. The lake was so much fun. It was easy to access, and really there wasn’t a single negative :)

Excellent Vacation!

Our family enjoyed this home. It was great for our family of all ages. The house is very large and accommodating. We appreciated the games, puzzles, etc. The steps from the house to the dock were tough for the older guests, but the kids didn't mind multiple trips per day. The dock was very nice.

Everything you need!

We had a fabulous time! The location was perfect for much needed R and R. Lots of steps to the water, but the views from the house deck were worth it!!
