We take reviews very seriously and the apartment is professionally cleaned after every rental. Instructions are sent from the website prior to check in and we reach out to each renter before check in. There were no complaints or issues communicated for this 2 day rental.

Thank you for your feedback. We’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. Our listing notes that linens and towels are not provided, which is a common practice in Long Beach Island rentals, and this information is included in the amenities listed before booking. We were surprised to read some of these concerns, as we did not receive any communication during the stay. Had we been contacted, we would have done our best to address any issues and answer questions. Regarding noise, the property is located on a main avenue, so some street activity can be expected during the summer season. However, there is no nearby outdoor live music venue. We also have no control over the actions of other guests or visitors, though concerns about noise or odors are always best reported during a stay so they can be addressed if possible. We appreciate your comments and are always looking for ways to improve the guest experience. We're glad you found the Wi-Fi strong, and we thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Our condo is a smaller unit, and while the dimensions and layout are reflected in the listing photos and description, we understand that personal expectations can vary. We also appreciate your comments regarding the bed comfort, as mattress preferences are certainly subjective. Since your stay, we have upgraded the full-size mattress to enhance comfort for future guests. Thank you as well for pointing out the maintenance items in the bathroom. We have reviewed those concerns and are addressing the repairs to ensure the unit remains well maintained and comfortable for our guests. We take guest feedback seriously, and it's always our goal to provide an honest and comfortable experience for every renter. However, we feel it's important to clarify that this review was posted by individuals who, unfortunately, never stayed in our unit. Their remarks are not based on firsthand experience and appear to be an attempt to secure a refund. While there was a temporary mix-up in the initial instructions regarding linens, this was corrected before the guests arrived and was clarified during a phone conversation well before their scheduled check-in. Parking is available both on the street and in the adjacent lot just 75 feet from the entrance. The building is not a rooming house, but rather a multi-unit property with private apartments. The carpet in the hallway and stairwell was replaced on June 4th, 2025 and is clean and new. Regarding the mention of the “Sheriff” card—this pertains to an entirely separate unit within the building that is in probate due to the unfortunate passing of one of the owners two years ago. It does not affect the rental in any way. Our unit is exactly as shown in the listing photos, and we encourage future guests to read the many other reviews that reflect the true nature of our space and hospitality. We remain committed to maintaining high standards and thank our past guests who have taken the time to share thoughtful and accurate feedback.

My wife and I take the utmost pride in our rental properties and the experience of our guests. We take reviews very seriously and as an opportunity to receive feedback.. We want to make sure that our home is as enjoyable for our guests as it is for us. However in this case I have to dismiss the review. The unit is professionally cleaned after every stay and I encourage potential guests reading this review to please read our other reviews which highlight the cleansiness and amentities of our Beach Haven escape! The flooring throughout most of the unit was replaced in May 2022 and the carpets in the bedrooms were professionally cleaned before the summer season. The unit was also painted and new cabinets and countertops were also replaced in May. We inspect pillows, blankets and comforters on a monthly basis and replace any worn items as needed. I will check to make sure the vacuum is working correctly. The AC units are 2 years old and filters are cleaned regularly (salt air requires roughly once a month). I encourage guests to reach out when checking in and if there are any challenges they will be addressed immediately. Unfortunately this guest was not reachable prior to check in or during their stay and they did not reach out at while staying in the unit.

Regarding check-in, the lockbox code had recently been changed and, unfortunately, the updated code was not reflected correctly in the listing. We have since corrected this to prevent future issues. The listing does specify the amenities included with the rental, including that linens are not provided. However, based on your feedback, we have added additional reminders within the listing to make this information more prominent and ensure guests are fully aware before arrival. The condo is located in an older building and access requires using one of two staircases. The rear deck staircase is wide and gradual, while the side entrance staircase is somewhat steeper. Guests may use either entrance. While the property is not handicap accessible, it is not advertised as such. We are sorry that the property did not meet your expectations. We continually review guest feedback and make updates to the listing to ensure it accurately reflects the accommodations and helps guests make informed booking decisions.
