Welcome to DOOR 42! Our home is located on the north side of Sister Bay right on the main drag. You and your group are just a short 1.5 mile drive down the hill and into town. Seconds away awaits a trip to the beach, park or a meal at any of Sister Bay's fine restaurants as well as coffee and ice cream shops! Our cottage is perfect for couples and families.
The house is full of Door County character and offers plenty of space for your retreat. Feel free to message me if you are interested in finding out more!

We have provided some literature for the surrounding areas including restaurants, maps, breweries etc. Hopefully they can be of some help! One of our favorite restaurants for scenery is the Boat House, Chop, and The Wickman House. Great breakfast is served at Viking Grill, Ellison Bay or Caroll’s Restaurant here in Sister Bay.

Perfect!

We had an amazing time in Door County and this house was the perfect location. Excellent and well-equipped kitchen. Plenty of bet rooms. Beds were super comfy. Loved being able to have a fire outside and enjoy fire-like ambiance inside too. Comfy living room space as well. What would’ve made it even more perfect is if you allowed dogs!

Great location

Very nice clean house! My husband, myself and 5 adult children all enjoyed the house very much. Had everything we needed, tons of pillows, blankets, towels, etc. Close to town but nice private location

Weekend in door county

The home was very clean. It was stocked with everything you need. We were very happy that we picked this property. The only thing that was a little different was that there was no closet or anywhere to put your belongings in the second bedroom but the king size beds were comfortable. We definitely would recommend this property!

Girls Door 42 weekend

We had a great time! The house was beautiful and comfortable! It had everything we needed! It was so easy to get to the property great location! The owner was very responsive if we had any questions. The only suggestion I would have is putting some type of post with reflectors on it to where the driveways at so at night it’s easier to see without passing it up. I highly recommend this property and we will definitely be back! TY

Sister Bay House

Simply an excellent property. The kitchen was filled with all the pots, pans, dishes, silverware and appliances that we needed. The washer and dryer were an excellent touch and used quite often. The bedrooms were comfortable and pleasant. Overall, the location was perfect for exploring northern Door County

Great Door Co house!

This is the second time my family (husband and kids) have stayed at Door 42. We love it! It's a great location for the things we like to do. The house is great for hanging out and relaxing. A big upgrade since we last stayed - the beds! 2 new king beds replaced the queen beds. Would highly recommend. The house has plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows to make your stay comfortable.

Very nice place

We loved our stay Door 42! It’s on the outskirts of Sister Bay. The house was nicely decorated and furnished. Very clean and comfortable. Also very quiet nestled in the woods. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks!

Such a great home away from home

Our family stayed at this property and it worked out great. The house is set off from the street so it gives you plenty of privacy and quiet. The backyard was lovely and the kids loved to roast marshmallows. We would love to come back and stay again.

Great spot

We stay in door county often. This location was great. Not to close that you hear the commotion of downtown, but close enough you can take a quick bike ride to the beach. Being close to 42 is always a concern, but as others mentioned, it’s a non issue. We enjoyed the back patio daily and never noticed any traffic noise. Each night we did the short walk down to the shore to watch the sunset. When we got back we chose one of the many board games available at the house. Kitchen has plenty of space, large laundry room great for longer stays, relaxing covered patio, outdoor eating area, and good beds and sleeping arrangements will have us coming back.

Treasure Cove of peace and tranquility

This absolute gem of a home was absolutely PERFECT for our family vacation to door county. We had 5 adults and one teenager and were very comfortable at this property! Our favorite aspects were the large kitchen/dining room, serene back deck, fire pit, and AMAZING showers! We actually loved this home so much we opted to stay in often rather than go sightseeing. We cant wait for our next stay at door 42!!

Girls Door County Weekend

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was very close to downtown Sister Bay, which was very convenient. The place was clean, and the check-in/check-out process was hassle-free. It offered plenty of amenities, and the air conditioning was a great bonus during the hot weather. I would recommend this place to others!

Nice Place but rushed out.

This was a nice place, good layout, lots of firewood good location. However, they did not have coffee available upon arrival and the cleaning person/owner arrived at 9:30. Thirty minutes before check out and sat in the car. It made everyone very uncomfortable at the end.

Great Bachelorette Weekend

This house was great for the bachelorette party I planned with 5 other people. The place was clean, had plenty of extra towels, blankets, and pillows, and was so close to downtown Sister Bay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great getaway!

This was a lovely, private yet accessible to town, large home! Very clean and we enjoyed the porch and yards, as well as being able to sleep 8 of us! Will be back for future family events.

Great family vacation

We had a great time at this house. Door county was new to us and the location was perfect. Just minutes from everything in town. We have three kids who enjoyed the kids room with bunk beds. There was plenty of space and we enjoyed the firepit outside.
