Awesome cabin on the E Verde River!

The description of the cabin is right on! The screened in porch faces the river and it's the perfect place to have your morning coffee! The beds are comfy, and the bathrooms and kitchen were immaculate. We were very happy staying in the cabin and hope to come back again!

Great place, peaceful and clean.

A nice lil getaway from the valley, and the river walk nearby was very pretty. A cool lil place to stay.

Perfect little spot

We are very local to the area but wanted to "unplug" if you will from everything and this was the perfect spot. Cows roaming around, river flowing, friendly neighbors, just overall a nice little spot to get away! Will be coming back to visit.

Lovely retreat

Perfect size getaway, river is chocolate this time of year, but still a beautiful, tree-lined waterway. Convenient access to lots of northern Arizona lakes and trails plus Payson amenities. Julie was a helpful, friendly host. Highly recommend.

A great property

The property was clean & had everything necessary for a nice stay. The full size kitchen is great and the enclosed porch is very large and it is nice to be able to sit and listen to the birds and the flowing river. I would definitely stay there again.

Quiet nights with fresh air!

Excellent! Beautiful location, the river is right out the back fence. There is an open walkway along the river, which is very nice to walk. The house has a nice layout, a great oven with all of the pans and utensils. The screened in room was the highlight for me, being outdoors with an excellent view, without bugs. Quiet nights with fresh air, it was restful and relaxing, just what I needed!

Family Reunion

Host was very helpful in making arrangements for my older family members. She was always responsive and made check-in easy. Other family members stayed nearby and the grandkids got to fish in the river. Fun was had by all, Thank you!

Secluded Cabin that backs up to East Verde River

Loved staying here! Short drive from the valley, and a good 20-30 degrees cooler than Mesa! Being alongside a small river, the temps are even a bit lower than Payson. It was very close to downtown Payson, but felt very secluded since you just see one neighbors house and nothing but forest and the river below from the wonderful screened in back porch. Super clean and well equipped for short or long stays. Would love to stay here again in the future.

wonderful cabin

This was a wonderful cabin/home..very neat. Thanks a lot to Ken and Aridith, who made our stay special and for giving us ideas of where to go and actually taking us over there!!! The screened porch is perfect for the summer.Hope to come back!!!

Quiet Anniversary Get a way

We are new to the area. My wife and myself retired last year. We moved to the Phoenix area in January.We celebrated our 46 th anniversary at this cabin. Everything was great cabin was clean comfortable and cozy I would highly recommend to anyone and will be coming back hopefully this fall.Thanks for having us.

A Peaceful Getaway

Found the cabin to be clean, well equipped and peaceful. We can't wait to go back during the dog days of summer. The screened in porch was wonderful. We liked the fact that our dog could run around within the fenced yard. We enjoyed our weekend getaway and we'll be back!

Cute and Cozy

This little cabin is so cozy with the fireplace going while it was cold outside. Great after hiking the trails right from the backyard. The kitchen has all the basics utensils to cook meals. Would be even better if there was snow.

East Verde River Cabin - Loved it!

We spent three nights in this great cottage. The updates to the cottage are very nicely done. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. We loved hiking along the river, relaxing in the yard and in the screened porch, as well as exploring the surrounding area. Ken and Ardith are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We hope to make a return visit!

Perfect getaway for my son and me

This cabin was the perfect getaway for my 13 year old son and I to reconnect, fish and truly decompress. It was absolutely perfect and extremely welcoming. The location couldn’t have been better. We walked out the backyard gate and we were at the East Verde River. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay. We will be back next year!!

Down by the river

It's all about the river. Watch and listen to the East Verde in the Arizona room. Walk downstream and meet the cows. Enjoy a cozy evening in front of the gas fireplace. Then get a good night's sleep in this quiet neighborhood. Restful.

Wonderful stay!

The cabin was great, and the surroundings were even greater. Its located right on the riverfront with beautiful scenery and fishing. The cabin was fully equiped with everything we needed. Ken, the owner, is super friendly and helpful. On the day we arrived he was out of town, but he made sure his cleaning lady stopped by to make sure we settled in and had everything. Overall, we really loved his place and enjoyed our stay. -Nikki and Boris

Cozy Quiet Serene

The cabin is clean and comfortable and so close to the valley. We had designs on a weekend of adventuring around the high country - the comfortable quiet afforded here both indoors and out made us forget about time or finding something better to do. The path along the river offers postcard scenes at every turn. Hammock chairs at sunrise to watch the forest come alive set the tone for each day. Perfect.

Quick get away

We came to Payson to escape the 100° plus temperatures in Tucson. It was still warm, due to the AZSummer heatwave, but every degree makes a difference. The cabin was super clean and had everything we needed. The back porch was enclosed and made a nice sitting spot for coffee or happy hour! Nice to see the river right out the back gate.

Main views look out on the river with no one else in view. There are lovely neighbors but they are not too close. Watch the deer and elk stroll by in the day and starry skies at night.
