Beach Pit

This retro house is a property our family calls the Beach Pit. It was one of the original beach houses on the Island and some of its original features remain; vaulted slat ceilings and black and white parquet floors. Watch the world go by through the big bay windows, enjoy the beach wagon for time at the beach or hunker down and watch a movie. Dogs welcome at no extra charge, fully fenced yard.  

There is a security camera on the front of house facing door & a security camera facing back deck.

This place is absolutely perfect!! Super cute, awesome location and great host!! We came with our German shepherd and the fenced in yard was so great!! Place is so cute just like in pics and proximity to beach sooo amazing. There are not enough words to express how great this place is!!

The beach house was exactly as listed! Perfect location with a less than 5 minute walk to the beach. It included everything we needed and the yard was perfect for our dogs! We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Very nice stay. Loved the back yard for my 4-legged children. It was so nice being so close to the beach. It was nice for my family's to have fun there. Pleasant stay.

The Beach Pit was perfect for us and our dogs! The location is perfect, beach access right across the street and a block away from the Palms Cafe.The kitchen is stocked with everything you'll need, the home was clean and well maintained.Highly recommend the Beach Pit for your next stay in SPI.

Spacious, clean, well-furnished home with all the appliances and kitchenware you could need. Located on a corner lot directly across from a beach access point. AC and laundry machines worked very well, and the backyard was plenty big for our dogs, with a huge deck. Beware that the deck gets very hot in the heat. Bike/golf cart rentals are available on the same street as this property, and a supermarket is just around the corner. Only criticism is that the hair dryer didn’t work.

My family had a wonderful week at the Beach Pit! Our 2 small dogs had a wonderful time in the fenced in back yard and we were able to walk across the street, onto the beach with them daily. Highly recommend this home!! Jacob was very responsive and everything went so smoothly. We also loved that SPI was so pet friendly! That is a huge deal to us bc of our babies. Hoping we will be able to go back sometime and would love to stay at the Beach Pit!!

Beach pit

Had a wonderful weekend at the beach. House was fantastic as was the location. Communication was fantastic and will definitely stay again at the beach pit.

We had nearly everything we needed. We were able to cook every night including a grill. We were just steps from the beach access.

Charming house with yard and driveway

As others have mentioned, there is some light wear. This is a beach area property, so some is expected. Wonderful is how we described the property and our experience. Conveniently located. Looking forward to staying here again.

Great home and location in South Padre

Our stay at the Beach Pit was amazing. Jacob was very responsive from booking to check out. Home is a great bungalow with vintage charm and amazing amounts of windows to let the sun in. Beach access located right across the street. If desire to hang out at the house there is a deck with fenced in back yard. If you want to spend a great vacation in a great home away from home I would pick the Beach Pit....hope to be back soon!

We enjoyed our stay at the Beach Pit property. It was very spacious for a 2 bedroom/2 bath. It was really nice having a covered carport to park our car under during the heat of the day as well as at night. Our two small dogs loved playing in the backyard. The location of the property was super close to a public beach access, just cross the street and walk across a small parking lot to get to the boardwalk. The property owner was extremely easy to communicate with and promptly responded to our questions. We would stay here again.

This place is a real score

For the frugal yet discerning traveler, you can't beat this cozy spot. It's just across the street from public beach access, and one block from beachfront dining (Palms Cafe--decent food and drinks overlooking the beach). The street and neighborhood are peaceful and quiet, it felt like a lot of locals and families would be living there. The casita itself is absolutely adorable and the perfect size for a group of friends. The kitchen is fully stocked with the basics, and there is a big, beautiful table that would easily sit a party of eight. That said, we took all of our meals out back on the deck. The TV's have every entertainment platform imaginable, the furniture is comfortable and modern, the beds are heavenly, and the entire house is cleaned and well-maintained. One of our favorite features was all of the complimentary beach stuff provided by the owners. There was a beach wagon, umbrella, 2 beach chairs, and a bunch of boogie boards (such fun!!)--all stuff we would have had to rent otherwise. This is a thoughtful inclusion by the owners. Thank you for a great stay! We're coming back for sure.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

We wanted to be closer to the beach than even the "beach front" condos, but we didn't want to hike up flights of stairs with our small kids and supplies. We wanted a fenced backyard, and we also wanted something "cool". It took us a while to find what we were looking for, but we're glad we waited!
