360 degree rooftop deck viewing, awesome NYC skyline, the beautiful Sandy Hook National Park, the winding Shrewsbury River, the well known Sandy Hook Bay, the Maritime Twin Lights Lighthouse up on the hill, the deep blue Atlantic ocean and don't forget sunrises and sunsets!

Just a one minute drive over Highlands bridge to the Atlantic ocean. One minute walk to local beach. the Seastreak Ferry to NYC is 1 minute drive. Directly across the street from The Proving Ground(use to be WindanSea) and The Inlet Cafe which both offer plenty of delicious food and quenching drinks among many restaurants and bars in town to choose from. Come enjoy this historical town by several bodies of water.!!!! Plenty of history and fun to be had!!!!!! Welcome aboard, Gerald

Lovely place for a couples retreat

The photos don’t do it justice - space is a lot larger, and location is great! Gerald is also super sweet, welcoming host. Would stay again!

Great Weekend Stay in Highlands

Gerald was an excellent host! Property is walking distance from great local food spots and nightlife. Gerald gave us some great recs and communicated with us throughout the stay! Had a great weekend in the area and only a 10 min drive to sandy hook beach - will be back next year!

Wow, what an amazing home! The 360 views from the rooftop deck are breathtaking. There are also numerous balconies to sit on to take it all in as well! The location is outstanding, easy to walk to restaurants and the water. Gerald is a wonderful host. He communicated extremely well and gave us lots of great suggestions. We will definitely by back!

Great location!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and comfortable. Amazing views from the rooftop deck! The location was awesome! Walking distance to many great places to eat /drink! Gerald was an amazing, accommodating host! We will definitely book again!

Highlands Beach Getaway

My husband, three children and I had an exceptional time staying at this lovely seaside escape. I have never had a nicer or more welcoming host; the view is gorgeous and it’s a great location to local eateries and a short drive to Sandy Hook Beach or the Seastreak ferry to NYC. Would recommend for families and friends looking for a casual beach residence and a great location!

Great stay near everything

We had a great beach stay. House is a great base to explore. Sandy hook is lovely and see bright is too. My teens loved being in the center of it all. House is clean and comfortable wit a fantastic host! Would recommend.

The perfect house at the perfect location.

The house is located in the perfect place with so many great things to do right there in the neighborhood. The house itself has just amazing views of the water on one side and twin lights light house on the other side. The host was extremely helpful and accommodating. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing!

The pictures do not do this perfect beach house justice! You can not beat the location and view from the three decks! My first time staying in the highlands although I visit sandy hook frequently and it was everything I could have hoped for (even in the rain)! Thank you, Gerald!

Awesome location!

This home is in the middle of it all! We have family in the area and so know it well. You can sit on the deck and listen to nightly music at the Proving Grounds (don’t worry... not too loud,) and also are a stone’s throw from our favorite restaurant around - Inlet cafe. You can walk to Sandy Hook so it’s free, but if you want a beach day, I’d drive. Too many other great places to eat and play within walking distance. Most are dog friendly. Gerald is incredibly responsive. He checked in on us a couple times but not at all intrusive. He was flexible with our check in/out times since the calendar worked. He also made sure to give us each a key. Wonderful vacation.

Great views, location, comfort, and a very homey feel. Highly recommend!

Everything about our experience from booking to leaving was positive! Our host Gerald was gracious, generous with suggestions, and made us feel right at home. Great location to access the city and the shore. Highlands itself offers food, spirits, and nature within walking distance.

Highlands paradise

Wonderful home with a very responsive owner who went over and beyond to accommodate a few special requests. House was very comfortable and upstairs deck had a fantastic view. Great dining nearby. Highly recommend and would happily return.

Overall good rental.

House was neat and clean with bathroom on each floor. Check-in process was fairly easy. Communication with property manager was good and direct. Location was excellent, walking distance from nearby restaurants. Beach was a very short 5 min drive. Roof and deck areas were enjoyable with great views. Would say rental listing was just not 100% accurate when it comes to accommodation needs. The way it’s set up I would say it sleeps 3 people comfortably instead of 4 or more. Would recommend for smaller groups. Other than that I would give 4/5 stars.

Cozy beach house

We had a great stay! . The house was cozy, the ocean views abundant, the house clean and comfortable, the location was perfect for us; serene, close to great restaurants, breakfast and ice cream shops. Quiet, relaxing and just five minutes from the beach. Gerald was a great host available at any time to chat! We’ll be heading back for sure!

Perfection!

We absolutely loved our stay! Most perfect spot in all the Highlands! Cozy, convenient and fun sums it up here! We loved being able to walk everywhere in town, we loved the openness of the house, we loved the outdoor spaces- coffee on the deck of the kitchen, wine all the way up top on the rooftop deck to watch the sunsets and fireworks (it was 4th of July) and the owner Gerald was so easy and nice to work with, absolute perfection! Book your stay today!!

Perfect for Us

The property was better than advertised for us. Comfortable, great location. Nothing too fancy, easy to relax in. Plenty of good restaurants to talk to. Sandy Hook close by. Didn't know Highlands, NJ well before this, but really enjoyed it. You can see the ocean, and the river from the top deck. Our host, Gerald, could not have been nicer. Communications easy, check in easy. Extremely helpful with recommendations. My only regret is that we didn't get to hear him play the saxophone! There was just two of us, in our mid sixties. There are 2 bedrooms on separate floors each with its own bathroom, plenty of privacy. Kitchen is more than adequate but we ate out most of the time. We were there over Labor Day week end and into the week after that, enjoying the beginning of "Locals Summer" . Easy to get to NYC via the ferry which is about 1 mile away. This was a jewel of the Jersey Shore

Coastal Home with a View is a brand new private house located 1 min from beaches, great restaurants, 1 minute ferry to NYC and plenty to do in nearby towns. If water could talk there would be a wealth of stories surrounding the Highlands. Come continue your journey and write another chapter in your book of life.!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

Sunsets and sunrises right at home are beautiful from the rooftop deck! Plenty of decks(3) one on each floor. 500 ft from the water(Shrewsbury River) as it looks up ward to the historical Twin Lights lighthouse. You can hear the fisherman,crabbers and clammers heading out of the river for their morning catch. Plenty of birds of many species and duck are often passing thru. You can walk to many great restaurants like The Proving Ground and the Inlet Cafe across the street. You can either walk 1 minute to a local river beach or drive 1 minute over the bridge to surf, swim or whatever you want on the wonderful New Jersey Atlantic ocean shore beaches. Or stay right at home and relax in comfort.
