Very comfortable and charming Apartment suite in UPSTAIRS of the oldest house in Seattle, built in 1858 ish, Rebuilt by us in 2018.

New everything-plumbing, electrical, roof, walls, sheetrock, paint, carpet, appliances, sinks, tubs, added Foundation, insulation, etc.

Former home of Doc David Maynard & Catherine, friends of Chief Seattle.
Doc was a early, colorful promoter of Seattle in 1852.
Lots of history

We are 441 feet from Alki Beach Park and 1/2 block to free water-taxi shuttle bus stops, 23 restaurants, beaches, many miles of walking, biking and running paths. Great sea breezes and sea air to breathe.

As they say, come to Alki for a Day or a Lifetime.

Historical house in Alki

Alki Beach treasure

I stay in a lot of Vrbo locations and I have never seen a better stocked or such a well appointed locale. These are the most thoughtful hosts, in a charming part of Seattle. You can walk to the water, restaurants, etc. Great experience.

Excellent Host

Mary was accommodating in every respect. He hurried to clean up the property so we could check in earlier than expected, even finding the time to secure a beautiful piece of birthday cake for my partner's birthday. The apartment was incredibly comfortable and welk-appointed, with tons of resources for both tourists and history buffs. It's just a beautiful place to stay.

Perfect Everything!

We had a fabulous stay at this historic home! Our hosts were the best I have experienced! Our apartment literally had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped and our hosts even had essentials like butter and cream all ready in the frig for us!! The location was perfect as it was just a block from Alki beach where there was a lovely walking path along the beach and many restaurants within walking distance. I have never written a review, but our great experience spurred me to write one for our lovely hosts!

Great location with everything you need!

We were so impressed with this rental! The location is perfect if you are looking for a peaceful place from which to explore the Alki area. We were so happy to find that we could walk to our favorite restaurant and the waterfront. Very quiet and a wonderful private deck to enjoy the views. The owners have gone above and beyond to provide everything that you could possibly need. The bed was amazingly comfy, kitchen was well-stocked, tons of info on the area, etc. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Thank you so much to the owners for sharing this delightful home. :)

Excellent hosts and wonderful location!

We loved staying here! The arrangements were just as advertised, and the space was so well appointed, with everything we needed (and more)! The neighborhood is perfect for walks to the beach and local restaurants. Highly recommend!
