'Top Shelf Sugar' - Private and Beautifully Decorated

This recently remodeled premier condo is located at the peak of Sugar Mountain with a stunning view of the Blue Ridge. Spacious and warmly furnished, this condo is perfect for a special getaway. A King-sized bed and queen-sized sleeper sofa will sleep 4 people in total. This unit features vaulted ceilings and plenty of windows, allowing you to enjoy the vast scenery and natural light. On those cool nights you can lounge by the stone gas fireplace and enjoy the flat-screen TV. An equipped kitchen affords modern stainless steel appliances. Relax at this tranquil spot on the mountain just minutes away from tennis, golf, and skiing. For your added convenience this condo also has Wi-Fi and a washer and dryer(located in the stairwell closet right outside the unit entrance). New heating and a/c unit installed 2023. Non-smoking. Absolutely NO Pets from December through March. Pet-friendly may be available seasonally. There are pet size/breed and number restrictions please confirm with us before booking. Please acknowledge that there is a $100 pet fee(per pet). No Check-in's Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. All guests required to sign rental agreement upon booking.

Great top of the mountain stay

Really enjoyed our stay at this property. Top floor with fantastic views. Got lucky and had quite a bit of snow! If it's snowing/icy be sure to follow the guidelines of 4 wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Was a bit challenging with front wheel drive only on the icy roads but we made it! Highly recommend

Love that the condo was on top and on the end so as to have two views / corner. A beautiful place to stay .

Great winter weekend getaway!

Wonderfully updated condo with great views! We skied once and used the shuttle which was great because it was a busy holiday weekend and the parking lots were overflowing. Just call to be sure you know where the pick up is. This is a really great space to enjoy time in, time on the slopes, and close to town to go out for a nice meal! Absolutely no complaints with this stay!

Great getaway with a view!

Plenty of space for a couple retreat. Great view of Beech Mountain and Banner Elk in the valley. Very quiet surprisingly seeing that it isn’t really far off the beaten path. The ski slopes were closed for season when we went so maybe it gets a little more lively when they’re open. All in all this place was great and we will return.

It was family vacation, we had a great time. Very close for everything. Maybe for better, you need to send location by text messages, because we don’t find direction easily .

Sugar Mtn NC Getaway

My wife and I along with our dog Charlie had a great time at Sugar Mtn. The unit was very clean and well kept and the views were amazing. We would love to come back again. Jack Anderson and Olivia Guiton made us feel welcome. We were upset that we had to leave a day early but would love to come back.

Beautiful View and Unit

We rented this unit over labor day weekend. Arrived checked in and it was as nice as advertised but No air conditioning ( which we probably should have checked for) so we ended up not staying. Would be a wonderful winter destination

NY Stay and Family Ski Trip

The views from the property are as advertised- just gorgeous. Windows all across the back and side of dining area just make the unit. Very quiet complex you are on the top floor on the end. Great location to slopes…2 minute car ride to the base. Kitchen update is nice. Bathroom is very dated and jacuzzi tub wasn’t really working but… that being said we had an awesome trip. Worked for a family of 4 (but our kids are still tweens)…next trip would probably need something bigger.

Nothing to the owners’ or rental agency’s fault, but had some young guys renting below us who were heavy smokers and quite loud....otherwise worked perfectly and the location was perfect to ski Sugar! Extra pillows and linens for the pullout sofa would have been nice to have....

The only feedback I have is that the bathtub water wasn't working and when we called the number provided, they told us this can’t be fixed currently and we will get some refund or discount for our stay. But I haven’t heard back yet. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back.

Nice deck porch we got to use between the little bit of snow that fell. The place was easy to get to even though it was on top of the mountain. There is a warning in the winter months to bring snow chains or a four wheel drive, but we were lucky and didn't need them. Management was very nice and helped us to locate the property with maps suggestions. Got to to a little tubing and zip lining while we were there, and had a great time. Would recommend it for anyone looking for unobstructive mountain views.

Great location - beautiful views

The view from this unit is beyond beautiful. We loved watching the sun come up everyday as we drank our coffee by the fire. The location is very convenient. It’s very close to Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and several very good restaurants. Parts of the unit have been updated - the kitchen is beautiful and very nice. I thought the entire unit was beautifully decorated. The bathroom hasn’t been renovated yet and the shower is old. My kids were a little disappointed that they couldn’t use the tub - it was functional but there wasn’t enough hot water to even halfway fill the tub. The couch pulled out into a bed - the mattress on it was fine for my kids but I don’t think adults would find it very comfortable. Overall we would recommend the unit due to the close proximity to the ski resort and breathtaking views.

Long weekend trip

I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we thought we had arrived to our condo we were glad we did get there after hours, the text message we received with the address sent us to another building , and the actual address of the condo wasn’t listed on anything I received via email or text. So once we found the correct building and condo we were happy. We went in the find on the recessed lighting fixtures hanging from the ceiling, we notified them right away about this as we didn’t want to pay for the repair. The condo was generally clean, we did find trash left behind sitting on the side table and socks underneath the furniture. This condo highlighted the tub in the photos as well as the description, the hot water didn’t work. We notified the maintenance department and they offered to send someone out that evening to check but we asked to wait until morning. The guy came, the breaker was tripped he flipped it back said give it a while and try it, we tried it again that evening after we got back in-still freezing cold. I messaged again (Sunday) no response, we checked out the following day. The company did reach out Monday after I messaged that we had checked out and asked for a reply. They did offer 10% discount/refund, which we appreciated but would have preferred the working tub as shown. I felt the description of the kitchen could have been a little better so hopefully I can help others have insight with this review. What you see in the photos is what you get, there are common used utensils, but no keurig coffee maker, no condiments etc so bring your own/buy them. Overall we had a good trip.

Condo and furniture was nice and in good condition. Mattress on been was thin and bumpy. Sheets not appealing, cheap toilet paper, no shampoo, no tissues, 1/2 roll of cheap paper towels, nothing to clean dishes with, Salt and Pepper is the only thing in ktchen so if you want to cook bring everything.

The location and view were great

The sleeper sofa and chase lounge were collapsed making them very difficult and uncomfortable to sit on.The bathroom had dirt and hard on the floor and soap residue on the tile around the tub. We had to wait to check in due to drain issues. When we were allowed into the unit first impression was excellent. Then more drain issues and a very condescending representative who said that the three drains being clogged was not an emergency and we should call back in the morning. After speaking with the owner the next morning, a service man arrived, walked in the tub with his boots on, poured a drain cleaner in the tub, bathroom sink and hall sink as he explained that we must be used to fast drains. 4 hours for a tub to drain 1 1/2 inch of water was okay because we were on top of the mountain. After he left there was very little change.We poured 6 kettles of boiling water to get the bathroom sink to drain and the same for the bath tub. The hot water would barely last long enough to take a shower, could not get enough hot water to use of the jacuzzi.
