Outstanding visit

Great getaway for Easter. Weather was perfect, the house was super convenient to everything. Property manager was easy to contact, and checked in several times.

Nice play to stay for skiing

Nice place to stay for skiing. Was just a quick drive over to the slopes. Pool hours were good. Good layout for different types of guests! Some cell/Wi-Fi connectivity issues.

Great location. good communications and easy access

Property was exactly as described. Low key and relaxing. No issues or surprises. Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

Mountains

Good location and convenient to surrounding towns. But.. had ants and a neighbor below us complained of noise. Two kids under 5 are hard to keep from running, so not a very kid friendly experience.

Nice Location

The property was nice, not as big as it appears in the pictures, but it worked for our family of 5. Check-in was easy. The location was convenient to Boone, Sugar, Hawksnest, etc. The fireplace nor the ice maker worked, the property manager was responsive and apologetic, however, it was Christmas so it didn’t get fixed during our stay.

Beautiful Condo

We checked in, although the key code given to us, did not work to begin with and after a few calls, it was corrected. The air conditioner was not working, so we had to move to another property. We loved the condo, the location and would love to come back when all things are operational.

Perfect…except no internet connection!!!

We absolutely loved everything about this place except we had no internet connection!!! I contacted the office and they were supposed to send someone out which I don’t know if anyone came out because we were at the App State game all day and I never heard back from the office. When we got back from the game…still no internet!!! This was very frustrating for all of us, especially our teens!!! We have a friend who owns a condo here and she doesn’t have any problems with her internet so this tells me it’s just this condo’s problem! Please fix this asap!!! I would love to stay here again but not having internet connection would be a big NO for me!

Winter Getaway to Slopes

Highlights: *Location is an easy drive to Boone, Blowing Rock, Appalachia Ski Resort, Beech Mountain, & Sugar Mountain *Community was quiet, condo close to front entrance, indoor pool/spa was an added bonus during our stay *Family enjoyed sledding on Beech Mountain, teens enjoyed snowboarding multiple days at Sugar Mountain, younger girls enjoyed ski lessons & beginner/Level 1 slope at Appalachian Mountain Resort *Sites/shopping/eateries enjoyed were The Blowing Rock, Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster, Otter Falls, Incredible Toy Company, Mast General Store, Cornerstone Christian Bookstore, & eateries: the Pedlin' Pig, Coyote Kitchen, The Banner Elk Cafe Many meals were made at the condo in the well-equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable, providing a good night's sleep. The gas fireplace provided evening ambiance & added warmth. The washer/dryer was very beneficial to pack lighter. Roads were salted quickly in the community after snowfall & local roads posed no problem for the light snowfall. The indoor clubhouse pool/spa was a useful bonus during our stay - nice to enjoy swimming & the hot tub after days on the slopes, despite the cold temperatures outdoors. ;) The downside was the limited dining area with only 4 barstools at the bar top. (We did bring the balcony table & chairs in when needed for additional dining & game playing ability.) Overall, we had a good experience from beginning to end with this VRBO, the community, & the local area activities we enjoyed while in NC. (Side note: two days prior to leaving, my husband had a sledding accident requiring medical attention. The Watauga EMTs were responsive & the Watauga Medical Center was closeby providing quick care.)

Winter getaway

Property was as described. Owners responded promptly and resolved issues to our satisfaction in a timely manner. Property is conveniently located to ski resorts, tubing and many other locations attractions. The neighbors were great. Very welcoming and kind. Overall a great place.

Perfect for a Mountain Get Away!

We have stayed in Echota properties many times, but this has been our favorite condo to stay in! This condo has lots of space and lots of charm. We immediately felt right at home. A sleep number bed in the master bedroom made for some AMAZING nights of sleep. This condo is conveniently located within walking distance to the indoor pool, and we would go early (between 7-9 am) and have the whole pool to ourselves for a few hours each morning. Very clean and very welcoming - made for a wonderful little family vacation!

Clean, comfortable condo in Echota

Great spot in Echota. Pretty mountain view off the deck. Close to the indoor pool/hot tub. Great walks around the neighborhood. Very clean condo with lots of storage and everything you need in the kitchen and condo for your holiday in the mountains. Beds were comfortable. A great holiday weekend in Echota!

Family fun

This place was great for our family of seven. The indoor pool is what made us pick this property and it did not disappoint. We had very happy kids. The location was great too. Lots of hiking trails near by.

Great weekend getaway -

We stayed for a long weekend. The accommodations were great. In addition, we enjoyed walking/running around the property and visiting the indoor pool on a rainy day. We'll definitely be back. (Not affecting the quality of our stay - the refrigerator made a shuttering sound when using the water dispenser).
