We wanted to let you know that the TV issue has since been resolved—it turned out to be some wiring behind the unit that needed adjustment, and everything is now working properly. The blinds in the back bedroom are also currently in the process of being repaired. Regarding the door lock, this was fixed toward the end of your stay. We also wanted to clarify the checkout request you mentioned. We manage individually owned units across several properties, and we work with a small team of independent contractors for cleanings. Because schedules can be tight — especially when one guest checks out just before another checks in — simple steps like starting a load of towels or taking out the trash help our team stay on track and also keep tropical pests at bay. That said, it’s completely optional and only meant for guests who have the time before their flight. Regarding the cleaning fee, unlike hotels that roll those costs into higher nightly rates, we keep our rates as low as possible by being transparent and listing it separately. We'll share your note about the beach chairs with the owner. Thank you again for being our guest, and we hope to welcome you back in the future. Mahalo!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We had been actively working with the AC company to get the main AC units repaired, and they were repaired just prior to your arrival. Unfortunately, on the day you arrived, the complex notified us that the shared condensate drain line was leaking and that the AC units had to be shut off immediately to prevent further water damage. This was an unexpected development that occurred right as your stay began. We immediately provided portable AC units as an alternative and continued working with the AC company, although their availability was unfortunately delayed. We did everything we could to keep the unit comfortable while the underlying issue was being addressed. The condo is in a quieter part of the island, which is intentional for guests looking for a more peaceful oceanfront location, although we understand that this does mean having a car is important for restaurants, shopping, and exploring. We truly did our best to address the issue before your arrival. We appreciate your understanding of the circumstances and hope you were still able to enjoy your time on Maui overall. Malama pono.

Mahalo for your review! Beach conditions can change quite a bit due to natural factors like storm surges and seasonal weather. Storm surges occur when strong winds from storms or hurricanes push seawater onto the shore, which can temporarily cover or erode the beach. It will eventually build back up, making the beach wider again. So, it's all part of the natural ebb and flow of coastal environments! We can't predict where it'll be before each guest's stay, it's very changeable. We are happy you enjoyed your time on Maui and were happy to be a part of it, aloha!

The living room TV is working properly with cable, and the bedroom TV is set up for streaming only. Mahalo nui! The beach certainly comes and goes based on ocean conditions in front of this complex, thankfully Haycraft Park is a very short stroll away which opens up to Sugar Beach, the longest, continuous stretch of sand on the island! It was lovely to host you!
