Our Ocean Front condo has been remodeled in an island-style with an asian touch. Enjoy Maui sand and surf just steps from the front of our complex. The steps to the beach have been washed away with high surf (10/30/19), so it is best to walk to the park about a block away to walk on the beach. The condo associatation is working to replace the steps. The Kanai A Nalu resort is centrally located on the southwest side of Maui at the beginning of a pristine beach that runs for 3.5 miles (or more) uninterrupted to the north end of Kihei. Our 3rd floor corner unit is a prime location on the quiet side of the complex (one of only 4 such units). It offers spectacular panoramic views of Haleakala (volcano), Molokini, other islands, and the south shore of Maui (from North Kihei to Wailea and beyond). You can fall asleep to the sound of gentle surf and wake to a glorious Maui sun rising over the 10,000 foot Haleakala volcano. From our private lanai enjoy breakfast, lunch and/or dinner while watching the ocean surf, whales, turtles and surfers during the given season. We often opt to dine in on our lanai because this wonderful setting is seldom matched when dining out.

The master bedroom (furnished in island-style) and bath are private with ocean views from two sides, and includes a wall mounted flat screen TV. The 2nd bedroom (furnished in island-style) and bath can be closed for privacy with a unique sliding door. The lanai is furnished to seat four for dining. The kitchen is equipped with range, refrigerator/freezer (with ice-maker), dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. The dining area offers a dining table which is set to seat 4, but can be expanded to seat 8 or 10. The living area is furnished in an island-style with an oriental touch and includes a 42' HDTV and a HD BlueRay Player plus a supply of movies for your enjoyment. Our kitchen has a plentiful supply of dinner ware and cooking utensils and appliances.

Central Station to fun

Great location, very comfortable well-furnished condo, nice small uncrowded beach a minute's walk away, well-kept grounds with nice pool and great lighted grills for easy meals on the lanai...walking distance to Maalaea harbor where Molokini snorkel trips, fishing charters and Lanai Ferry originate and close enough to Maui Swap Meet (Saturday 7-1) and Costco for good shopping values, food trucks and fresh produce to call it convenient. Walk to Tante's and Seascape for good Happy Hours. Host and Property Manager provided all needed upfront to make stay enjoyable. Mahalo

Great Location

This Property is in a great location and amazing views right on the ocean. we watched sea turtles from the balcony that over looks the ocean. Kitchen is updated and the breeze through the condo every evening from Maui trade winds was perfect. The listing pictures didn't do this condo justice. Some beach items for use made trips to the beach easy. This is an end unit so both bedrooms have nice big side windows.

Maui!

The condo was very nice. It overlooked the ocean/bay and had only a short walk- 1-2 blocks - to a beach. Parking was easy and next to the unit. We used the steps except when first unloading - used the elevator which is across the building. Owner was friendly and provided some helpful tips on where to go (thank you!). The condo had a very comfortable king bed, and little things like spices and some storage baggies which helped a lot, plus all the dishes and pans you could need. The only "complaint" was the humidity in the unit. We had to run a fan in the bathroom to make it even slightly bearable. The air conditioner was only slightly effective when running and was on a timer so shut off after an hour. Opening the doors helped very little. Luckily there are several ceiling fans which ran on full the entire time. Opening the bedroom windows helped at night. The surf was very loud but that helped me sleep. There is a nice balcony overlooking the bay where we sat to have our morning tea. We saw rainbows across the bay. Very beautiful. I think the May was just a very humid time to be there. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great vacation spot!

This property is in a fantastic location with a great view off the balcony. Well located with restaurants and bars in walking distance as well as beaches that allow for swimming or sunbathing. Host was great at communicating prior to arrival with all info needed.

Amazing Views

We love this condo. This is our second stay at this particular condo. We have stayed at many places in this area of Maui because it is easy to get to all locations. The condo is fully stocked to make your own meals, beach towels, beach chairs etc. The Lanai is wonderful to observe whales in season and turtles galore. The beds are very comfortable. It has two large tvs for evening down time. This corner condo has a lovely cross through breeze that keeps the condo cool. Last but not least is the great communications with Pam. Wonderful hosts! Thanks again for such a memorable stay!

Perfect for us

My husband and I (mid 40’s) and my parents (70’s) stayed here for 6 days at the beginning of February and it was amazing. We really appreciated the elevator access for my parents in the middle of the building, and the walk to the very pleasant beach at the end of the street is quite quick and pleasant! Easy parking at the condo, too. We watched turtles and whales right off the balcony - and walking to the whale watching boats down in the marina was easy (about a 10-15 min walk if it was just my husband and I but for slower walkers more like 20-25 min?). Truly a very special trip.

Great view!

Was very glad to have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us. The view was great - we could see whales most anytime we looked out from the lanai!

Amazing vacation

The condo is situated in the perfect quiet location with easy access to the entire island. The condo has amazing views of the ocean, we spent a lot of time watching the whales from the lanai. The condo was really clean and well equipped.

Well Stocked and Conveniently Located.

Our host Pam was delightful and was very communicative. Her email with how everything worked was detailed and amazing. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook, including some limited spices which is always nice. The lanai overlooks the water and there is an amazing beach, a very short walk to the South.. Beds are comfortable and linens are plentiful. There are beach towels, a couple of chairs and a cooler you can use to go to the beach. All of these things are so helpful when you travel far away and don't know what to bring or having to buy things when you get somewhere. We look forward to coming again at some point. . This was the first time for my grandson and my husband although my daughter and I have been here many times. The people are amazingly friendly. There's enough open to accommodate everybody. Things are expensive, which has nothing to do with the condo. But we did bring some things in our luggage to supplement grocery buying. Support Maui if you can.

Great Spot

This is a nice spot with a beautiful view. Plenty of lounging options by the pool or ocean. Restaurants are within walking distance for enjoying a few Mai Tai's. Inside is set up with a full kitchen and washer and dryer. Great time in a great spot.

Great location!

This unit is right on the ocean. Beautiful views and you can almost always spot turtles from the lanai. Property is well maintained. Check in was super easy due to prompt communication with Pam. The central location is great because you can quickly drive to Kihei, Kahului or west towards Lahaina. I can’t tell you how nice it is to be able to get to Costco or wallymart in just 15 minutes yet still be staying on the other side of the island. Kihei is also 15 minutes or less. We would happily book this unit again. We also loved that there are 2 bathrooms in the unit. Thanks Pam and Bruce!

Great location, great host!

The condo was well located, close to the airport, the nice beaches and good eats. The condo was clean and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and I have never seen a condo with so many towels. The lanai was the highlight. We enjoyed eating breakfast, lunch and dinner at the lanai, contempling the incredible view with the sound of the waves. Unfortunately, we had to cut short our trip due to the fires in Lahaina. The condo was not in the affected area but we didn’t want to take any risk. When the fires in Lahaina happened, Pam wrote to us to check if we were all ok. I informed Pam that we decided to leave the condo one day earlier, she replied to us very quickly to let us know that she will reimburse us for the unused day. It was very nice of her to be so considerate. I read on Facebook that many travelers were unable to get a refund for their cancelled accomodation. It never crossed my mind to ask for a refund but Pam had volunteered in doing so. That was a very nice gesture. We greatly appreciated. I would definitely recommend this condo to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean and quiet place to stay and close to everywhere. Thank you Pam for sharing your condo and for being so nice to your guests.

Perfection!

This condo was absolutely lovely! It was just as pictured and described in the listing. We could not have been closer to the water, & enjoyed the crashing of waves outside our lanai and windows. We didn’t use the kitchen to do any cooking, but it appeared to be well stocked. It was great to have a washer and dryer and dishwasher in the unit. And we enjoyed the quieter setting. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Perfect

We stayed for 2 weeks. The condo is right on the water with easy access the beach. There were never more than 20 people on the beach at once, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Great kitchen and outdoor grilling space. Ma’alaea is in the middle of the island, so it’s a perfect for getting around the island. My family would gladly live there for the rest of our lives.

The perfect stay

Property is very clean (Both Condo and the property). We enjoyed the turtles swimming out in front of the Lanai. The beach at the end of the road was a nice shaded break from the Maui sun. Easily within walking distance. Enjoyed the quiet side of this island. The condo had everything you need to make your stay that much more enjoyable!

Ma'alea Harbor Vacation Condo

This is a great unit that is well appointed with all that you need to have a great experience in Maui! There are many positives: The unit is clean, updated, and has a sense of serenity. It is a waterfront, corner unit so you have all the privacy you need....and you stare directly at the harbor with views to Kihei off to your left when on the lanai and morning sunrises. Parking is effortless and the location is clean and safe. We walked to harbor shops and restaurants with ease. From a location standpoint, it is centrally located with great access to all parts of Maui (e.g. airport, Lahaina, Ka'anapali, Kihei, Pa'ia, and etc.). Lastly and most importantly, Pam is a wonderful, communicative owner who ensure we always had the latest information and were accommodated. There are only a few negatives: While the location is fantastic and serene, some travelers may want more action. Those types of travelers may want to a consider Kihei or Lahaina with more activities. We were disappointed that the condo did not have direct beach access. However, within a short walk there was a great beach for lounging. All other beach options needed to be drive to (but we knew this when we rented the unit). Lastly, there is only one A/C unit in the condo. There are plenty of fans so you can keep a nice circulation of air. Would definitely recommend this unit!

Almost Perfect!

100/100 Would love to stay here again. The only small complaint we have is there aren’t windows or fans in the bathrooms, so it gets hot quick in them. It wasn’t hot enough for a/c, breeze was excellent. Saw a HUGE granddaddy honu right in front of the balcony!

Take me back...

What a great little place in paradise. Everything was as expected including the turtles and the ocean sounds to rock you asleep at night. Property has a great pool and barbecue area. We did many meals out on the lanai just admiring the water and surroundings. Convenient and safe ( I left my purse at pool area and someone nicely returned to office). Central to airport and all other sight seeing adventures. We enjoyed snorkeling, kayaking and bike riding. Can't wait to get back! Aloha..

We love the setting. Our unit is on the 3rd floor, a corner unit so the guest bedroom window is not on the walkway with an ocean view and sound of the waves. To fall asleep with the ocean waves is a treat. The beach borders a National Wildlife Reserve. It's like finding the 'real' Maui. Turtles swimming by are an extra plus. It's Paradise for us!

We have installed all new double paned tinted windows and lanai door to keep the sun damage down and the condo a bit cooler. Now all the windows and doors slide easily. The old windows were original to the building, and sun, salt air, and years had done their damage. It was time for a re do.
