Great Ocean View; Turtle Highway

Fantastic view and location! We enjoyed the easy access to the ocean and snorkeling with turtles just steps (literally) from our lanai. Private island escape perfect for the three of us (me, my husband, and our adult son). Great location just north of the hustle and bustle of Kaanapli and only a short drive to Lahaina, and not too far from Honolua Bay and Kapalua for world-class snorkeling and golf. We would stay here again.

Great condo with great view

My son had just earned his Ph.D. in engineering. We decided to take him to Maui for a week of fun in the sun. This condo was perfect for a fun and relaxing week in Maui. Kitchen is very nice and we used it a lot. Nice views of the Pacific Ocean right outside the patio.

The condo was everything that was advertised. The only thing that I would recommend for improvement would be some type of AC for the kitchen/living room area. That room would get warm in the afternoons, but there was the patio feet away from the ocean, so...

Awesome April Adventure

This place is fantastic and is just as shown in the listing. Sitting outside with the view gave so much entertainment - watching sea turtles, whales, crabs, fish, sunsets, clouds, rainbows, boats, surfers, and waves, waves, waves! Location was prime with a few things walking distance and beaches for walking/swimming/snorkeling and hiking both to the north and south just a few miles. Generally quiet and very private. Nice pool for cooling off. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host provided lots of ideas of places/things to do in the area.

Great place to stay

Very clean.lots of room. Great ocean view. Even there is no beach, we saw a lot of turtles. Kitchen is well stocked. 2 BBQs by the pool. Easy check in. Would definitely stay here again. Now here are a few things that I could suggest. There really need to be an AC unit in the main room. The AC unit in the small bedroom needs to be replaced because it puts out very little cool air. The AC machine in master is good.

Awesome place, terrible bed

This is such an awesome property, that it's a shame the king bed in the master bedroom is one of the worse mattresses I've slept on, it looked like a taco shell. If the mattress was replaced, we would rent again, but, the mattress is a deal breaker. Other than that, this in THE NICEST condo we've stayed in in Maui, we've come here all the time. It's very roomy, and sitting outside in the morning having coffee, and watching the waves crash literally feet from you is incredible.

The condo complex is older but it is clean, quiet & within walking distance (1/2-1 mile) to shopping/groceries/dining. The unit could use some TLC (slow drains, doors that don't open)& the laundry on premises is coin-operated (no change machine) but other than that we were very happy with our stay at HOL119. Lonnie was very helpful when we first arrived. Would definitely recommend this unit.

Amazing Cottage

We took our granddaughter to Maui for their first trip to Hawaii. Our cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. The extra privacy was a plus. The girls had their own room that had a sleeper sofa, TV and air conditioning. The pool was just a few steps from the cottage, which is where they spent half of their time. Plenty of deck furniture! The other half was spent in the ocean. Steps were provided for access to the ocean and at low tide a sandy beach. If you prefer not to drive to the beaches, you could stay here and enjoy. Lonnie was very helpful in getting us set up with this unit. We were not disappointed. We highly recommend and will be returning in the future.

Oceanfront cottage

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location, location, location... is what make this rental special. It is a beachfront cottage located right on the ocean. There is only one shared wall with the cottage next door and no unit above or below, so extremely quiet. The beaches and restaurants in the area are also very good and convenient. The unit was very clean on arrival, the kitchen well stocked with pans, utensils, etc., and there are lots of linens and towels. Pool is also nice and grills are available on the pool deck. The only drawbacks are 1) the lack of a washer/dryer in the unit (you have to go to laundry room in main building- clean, but less convenient and $1.50 per load) and 2) the limited/poor A/C (master bedroom runs o.k. with door closed, but 2nd bedroom only has louvered panels as door/wall and that window unit struggles to get room cool for sleeping).

This is the standard by which we measure future Maui condos!

This is way overdue; just wanted to let the owners know we loved this condo! We are going back to Maui in April and this is the condo by which we measure all others. If this complex had a hot tub we would never stay anyplace else. (Note to owners - please upgrade the "bed" in the second "bedroom", it is really not tolerable!!) One caveat to visitors - please be cautious going into the ocean; we happened to go in when the tide was coming in (I guess), had to yell for help when we were getting beaten against the rocks and steps..I think the complexshould have better signeage. A visitor's guide for the guests would be really helpful. Bear in mind we are senior citizens, but we have spent many years snorkeling in Maui and Kaui, but it was a challenge, especially since there was nobody around (usually a wonderful thing!) Still, I have to say that this unit is a treasure, hate to share it!

The Sea House, (our favorite), Dollies Pub and Cafe, and The Gazebo are all within a very short drive away. The condo worked out very well for our group of 3 women. It was very clean upon our arrival. Beds were very comfortable. Having window ac in the bedrooms was a blessing. We all slept very comfortable at night. Laundry rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Very clean and well maintained. 3rd floor has several washer and dryers. Quarters or credit card can be used, $1.75 for each. Worked for us.Lonnie is excellent to work with. This is our 2nd time renting through her management properties and I will rent from her again.Mahalo for a great stay Lonnie
