Family Gatherings

This was a great spot for a-three generation family getaway. We absolutely loved the area and the mountain. Very peaceful.

I had my family here for Christmas 2025 and it was wonderful. The home was decorated, including a live Christmas tree and lights were tastefully displayed throughout the home. Here are some highlights: Large wood burning fireplace with wood provided; comfortable furnishings and layout; view and deck; jacuzzi; accommodating kitchen; walking trails near by; fantastic host; convenient to food and groceries. Will return soon and highly recommend this property. Thanks Mike!

All of our cabins are decorated each year with live Christmas trees and interior decorations as well. My friends and I stayed at Highrock Haven for a long weekend in October 2025. We had to reschedule our visit by a year due to the hurricane disrupting our travel plans in 2024, and I'm so glad we were able to go! It's a beautiful place, and the cabin is impressive and well maintained with a stunning view. The hosts are accommodating, kind, and have great recommendations on things to do and see in the area. I hope folks come down to Western NC more as the area still rebuilds and recovers, it's lovely and needs your support!

Thank you so much for the great review! Just to be clear, the area had a remarkable and fast recovery period and most of the area was back to normal by last Spring ( 2025 ). Our log cabin resort was open 3 and half weeks after the storm! Hope you make it back sooner than later.

Perfect Mountain Retreat

Great cabin!

Cabin has amazing views and plenty of space for a family of 8 adults. Cabin is fully stocked and our family enjoyed playing pool and ping pong in the game room. Close to Chimney Rock and not far from Ashville, great location. We will definitely go back.

High rock haven is heaven

This was our third stay here and we have been in three separate cabins..and they are all amazing. The quality, cleanliness and attention to detail are outstanding! So beautiful and peaceful.

Excellent family vacation!

The property was perfect for my adult age children and significant others! Easy trip into town! Porch and hot tub was our favorite spot! Mike’s communication was excellent!

Beautiful

Beautiful view, lovely cabin, plan to stay as the drive up and down the mountain is a bit challenging, especially at night. Well worth the drive!!

The home is in the mountains, not in the city ( thank goodness ), so the drive is very safe on about a mile of gravel roads and we have never had an issue with anyone driving to and from the home in over 12 years. There are some safe inclines that you travel to get to this peace of heaven! Again, your not in the city!

Great stay and amazing view ! Loved using the hot tub every night!!

Enjoyed our stay ….property had everything you need for larger family gatherings ! Road is a bit of an issue if not used to curvy, bumpy road but easier to handle longer we stayed ! Highly recommend! Mike was a great host very responsive !

Thank you. To clarify, the home is in the mountains at 3,300 feet in elevation ( as advertised ) and to get to this slice of heaven, you travel on typical WNC mountain gravel roads that are very safe and graded on a regular basis. Two wheel drive works fine, unless it snows. The roads are not your typical city roads and obviously, there is much less traffic. A true slice of heaven!!!
