Perfect for two people, this spotless, newly renovated and well-appointed apartment will provide a relaxing retreat to enjoy your vacation. Nestled by the shore of Union Bay, this second-floor apartment (stairway access) is quiet and private, yet close to everything you may want to enjoy--shopping, antiquing, great restaurants/bars, hiking, biking, kayaking, sight-seeing, beaches, whale watching, golfing, Schoodic Peninsula, Lamoine State Park Beach to name a few!! Sea Glass Way has a living room, kitchen/dining room, 1 bedroom with a queen bed, 1 full bath with washer/dryer. Ample, well-lit area for parking, front deck with bar table and chairs, outdoor picnic area with gas grill. Kitchen has all cooking utensils needed including Keurig, Mr. Coffee. Secure keyless entrance door lock. There are two sets of stairs (one inside and one outside) to access the apartment. The views of Union Bay, from the deck, are spectacular!

We loved our stay here! The location is perfect. Close to town, yet far enough to enjoy the peace and quiet. Truly the best of both worlds. We will miss having our coffee on the front porch every morning. Super clean. Wonderful hosts. We can’t say enough great things!

Beautiful and Quiet Get a Way

This apartment was beyond what we imagined. Very clean and comfortable with everything you would need for your vacation stay. The view was beautiful and the deer we saw everyday was an added bonus. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting Maine.

Great private getaway

Locate was great, wonderful view of the water while we had wine on the patio, wild turkeys greeted us as we pulled into the driveway, amenities were nice to have, especially (coffee!! And breakfast bars) Everything we needed was provided and kitchen was fully stocked with everything necessary! Bed was SO comfortable! Thanks for the great place to stay while we were visiting the area!! We’d stay again if we come back to the area!

We had a great stay. The place was VERY clean, quiet and certainly peaceful. Everything you could possibly need for our trip was provided (Coffee maker, cups, plates, utensils, etc.). It's convenient to both shopping (5 mins.) and local attractions including Acadia (30 mins.). 5 stars!

Experiencing Maine for the first time.

Our stay was great. This property was very clean and the best stocked apartment I have ever stayed in. Karen and Tom were very reassuring when Hurricane Ted was headed toward Maine. They reassured us that they had a generator, and we would have electricity. We stayed through what became a tropical storm and went on to Canada. We are very glad that we did.

Fabulous Apartment!

Sea Glass Way is a fantastic place to stay! Karen and Tom have thought of every single detail and added so many extra touches to make their guests feel perfectly at home. The entire property is immaculate, everything you need is provided, and Karen offers the perfect level of communication just in case you do need anything. The views from the apartment are great, and the location can’t be beat. It has easy access to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, whale-watching tours, and more. We immensely enjoyed our stay at Sea Glass Way and highly recommend it for a scenic and relaxing vacation!

One of the top places I've rented

The property was idyllic. Quiet with a beautiful view of Union Bay. Access to grocery, shopping, Acadia and surroundings was very close and easy to get to. The apartment was spotless, roomy, and well appointed. The kitchen was well stocked (owners even left some coffee and water - thank you!). Appliances are all like new, bed was comfy. I honestly have nothing but wonderful things to say about this property. Finally, the owners were the best! They were so prompt to answer my questions and provide guidance. Karen and Tom are two lovely individuals with a gorgeous property. I can't wait to go back :)

The Perfect Place!

This property is ideally located in a peaceful neighborhood with picturesque views away from all the traffic and noise of the city, yet just a few miles from Bar-Harbor! It’s impeccably clean throughout, very well organized from bedroom to bathroom to kitchen! It’s very cozy and comfortable. Very comfortable bed and furniture. The only downside, (if any), is the stair climb because it’s above a 4 car garage, but there’s access up to the rental through the garage and straight up the stairs inside. I noticed that not only does the rental area smell and look fresh and clean, but the garage is also very clean, organized, and smells good as well! I think this rental must be pretty new from the looks of everything! If a flight of stairs isn’t an issue for you, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property!

We enjoyed your immaculate and well-decorated apartment. We saw deer in the yard every day and starry skies at night, quiet and peaceful. We drove into Bar Harbor and Acadia NP every day. Thank you for the recommendation to eat at the Union River Lobster Pot, delicious seafood!

Hosts were extremely responsive to requests and very helpful. They did a good job of anticipating needs and providing many thoughtful touches that make staying here extra easy. For example, we used the small cooler they provided every single day. This was farther from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor than we anticipated, so we packed the cooler every day with drinks and snacks. So helpful. I'm not a coffee drinker but my wife is & she lit up when we discovered that coffee was provided and they also had two travel coffee mugs available. Perfect! Laundry detergent for a few loads; not expected but so thoughtful. Access to the upstairs unit was simple & instructions were clear. All of the big items you expect are covered and then all the little touches make this place, and the hosts WINNERS!PS - A few mornings/evenings we enjoyed some whitetail deer nibbling clover in the yard. Fun!

The apartment was very comfortable and had all we needed. The view of the water was nice from the porch. Appliances in great shape and the bed was comfortable. The location is secluded an convenient to amenities in Ellsworth and Acadia, Bar Harbor, etc. Our hosts had good recommendations for us. Of particular note was the whale watching. Our voyage took us to see many whales, plus two flukes up and a breach. We add to that the e-bike rental at Acadia that toured (self-guided) the carriage trails. This was amazing.

Sea Glass Place was a very clean and comfortable rental with all the amenities for a vacation on the coast. The location provided beautiful and serene views of the bay in a quiet neighborhood great for walking or relaxing outside on the deck. It was a 25 minute drive to Bar Harbor and an hour to Bangor or Portland. I highly recommend for your next couples getaway.

Maine Trip

We enjoyed our stay at the Sea Glass Apartment. It was clean, comfy, and very well furnished for our needs. The owners provided lots of useful information about the area. The location was spectacular with stunning views of the nearby bay.

Like most of our guests, we love what the state of Maine has to offer. We enjoy walking, hiking, biking at Acadia National Park and many other local trails. We also enjoy visiting the local beaches and eating fresh seafood! During our Maine winters, we love to travel the world and appreciate a nice, clean, comfortable vacation rental. You will enjoy views of Union Bay, Western Bay, and Mount Desert Island from our property. We have daily visits from many types of wildlife including deer, turkey, and an occasional friendly rabbit! Sitting on the front deck and watching the seals, eagles, and osprey search for their next meal in the Union Bay, is so relaxing and entertaining!
