Needs repairs and updates

This condo is need of a lot of deep cleaning and a lot of repairs. There was mold on curtains and the closets smelled like mildew in the 3rd bedroom. The dishwasher was broken and it took 3 days for someone to come look at it. The stove barely worked. There are limited kitchen tools and the ones that are provided were dirty or rusted.

Beach trip

The location was perfect. The 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were great. In my opinion the kitchen was missing a few basic items. We couldn’t find a cheese grater, cookie sheet or any food storage containers.

Absolutely horrible condo and experience with southern vacations

After southern vacations got my money and about a week from my vacation I had to sign a 10 page contract saying they were responsible for nothing. They could show the property when we were there and to sign it or I couldn’t check in. On arrival the gate code did not work, sitting just off the street right outside of the gate nobody could help me. Thank god I had friends staying there because I did not get correct code from southern vacations for over an hour. Once we walked into our room we were disappointed. Food all over counter tops and table. We cleaned because we figured if we waited for them it would be the next day. Condo is very outdated compared to the 5 other couples that were there with our group. Outside furniture has mold all over it, very cheap as well. Beds felt like we were sleeping on a solid board. Also the queen room shower didn’t drain, black mold came out of it. We just didn’t use it, all I know is we didn’t spend much time in the room because it was unacceptable but with the contract I signed we were screwed. Do not stay in this condo, there are better ones than this. Trust me!

Large condo with a great location

Our overall stay was great. The only problem we had was the gate code given to us didnt work, and there was sand on the floor in the condo. This is an older condo with some touch up paint that doesnt match and some couters that are cracked, but they are not deal breakers. It is very spacious and very relaxing. Short walking distance to flora -bama! We will be staying her again real soon.

Ladies trip

Spring trip for several ladies. The beach was fantastic. Enjoyed having the chair and umbrellas on the beach. We had never been this time of year. We enjoyed our trip so much that we planned another one for next month. Excellent property all around

Perdido Key

We were delighted to be steps from the beach and had a beautiful view from our balcony of beach and water. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was spacious. As far as convenience of amenities within our unit, it was surprisingly a bit outdated. The unit is in need of some repairs to bring it up to par with our expectations. Lack of toilet paper (one roll per bathroom). One roll of paper towels provided. The dishwasher needs some help as the bottom tray would not glide in and out. The television was not capable of streaming. Tub was filling with water while showering as the drain wasn’t functioning properly in one of the bathrooms. In the master bathroom the shower was not very clean (very dull soap scum on walls and floor). The shower head itself was spraying the water at the wall instead of at a more downward angle. The air conditioning unit made a very loud noise that sounded as though it may break. Overall the unit provided a nice view, great beach access and comfortable beds. We were only there for three nights so the other issues would’ve been disappointing if there longer. For the cost, we expected more.

Wonderful Roomy Condo

First time staying at Spanish Key and we loved it. The condo was very roomy, clean and a great location. Being right on the beach was nice. Only issue we had was on check in day, I got a text stating the sliding door to the patio from the living room was broke and we needed to use the master bedroom door out there but they were coming the next day to fix it at 2 pm. No one showed and my daughter waited up there even though it said we didn’t need to be present…we didn’t want strangers in the condo with our belongings. I sent a text back and asked if it was fixed and they stated someone should be there the next day. No time or anything. Not sure if it ever got fixed because we didn’t see anyone come but we started using it with no problems besides a little gap in the top part of the door. Communication on that part was not professional at all. Other than that the condo was amazing and we would stay again. We got all of our check in info a week before which was really nice.

I was delighted with the size of Spanish Key. Getaway with granddaughters-beach and gulf were beautiful. Great location tween Fl and Al. Our stay(3nights) was too short. Very family friendly.

June 2022 stay

Great location! The condo could use some updating and repairs (deck door frame comes off) but property managers were quick to respond and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay again.

Would stay again

Would definitely stay again. Property was clean, great beach and walking distance to eateries and shopping. Disappointed to find our patio and outdoor pool closed due to maintenance. Would be nice if property Mgr was able to provide schedule for this upfront. Booked for view and patio. Staff we encountered were pleasant and responded to text requests quickly.

Weekend Getaway

This was our first time visiting Perdido Key. We had a wonderful experience. The beach was not crowded and we had more than enough space to spread out and enjoy our time. The people we encountered were friendly and we were happy to see on site security. The condo itself was very spacious. While we enjoyed each others company, it was nice to have our own personal space and bathroom. The scenery from the balcony was gorgeous. I am spoiled for other beach trips. We hope to visit again.

Good for families

Perfect for us. Grandparents, son daughter-in-law, grandchildren ages 6 and 7. Good communication with on-site management, but before the trip we were left without an answer about the pool and almost cancelled the trip because we were told the pool was closed. Overall it was an excellent trip. Balcony and vet looked pool and beach. Short walk to the ocean.

Not as expected.. great location

The property location was great. The staff did communicate well. However- the property was unfinished- it had outlets without covers, there were exposed wires no trim on the wall in multiple room, bathroom light fixture was hanging down, not enough bowls to accommodate- which they did bring after 2 days- the balcony door was broken, and the screen was off and flapping in the breeze- the air conditioning was broken which took 2 phone calls and several text messages for them to have repaired 20 hours later... the cleaning staff at check out were like vultures standing outside the door to get in and clean 30 minutes before the ridiculously earlier checkout time of 9am. The key code to the unit didn’t work so check in was difficult as well. The parking situation is ridiculous, when we came in from dinner the last night there wasn’t an available parking spot- the recommendation of the property managers were to park down the road in public parking at 10pm. They told me they didn’t manage the parking just the actual unit- the parking is managed by the HOA which there is no contact information for them provided- so we still don’t know where you can and can’t park. The tv in one bedroom didn’t work because it didn’t even have a power cord. The cleaning was subpar on arrival, the closets were full of decor you couldn’t even utilize them. They did try to remedy the situation with a small discount but for the price it was not as described or expected- I wouldn’t stay there again.

Wonderful vacation!

We stayed at the condo for Spring Break. The place was very clean with all the amenities it promised. When we arrived one of the shower rods was broken. We contacted the staff, and they came and fixed it that day. Great service! We used many of the amenities and they were all wonderful. Our favorite was being able to go from the beach to the pool. So refreshing! And then there was the view from the condo...The view was AMAZING! We loved being able to see the beach at all times of the day! It was one of our favorite places to visit. We will definitely be back!!

We enjoyed our weekend, BUT this property was NOT ideal!

We have rented condos for over 30 years along the Florida gulf coast. This condo is long overdue for refurbishing. I sent no less than 20 photos to the management company for damage around the condo for which I did not want to be held liable. The walls are dinged in every room. The furniture is damaged. The range did not work (so we were limited to the microwave for cooking). The bar ice maker did not work. While some renters do not respect the property they rent, we do. We leave it clean. The photos of this condo do not show the abuse this property has taken. A portion of the rental fee was refunded, but the experience left a bad taste.

Nice condo and so close to beach!

Condo was nice...just like pics. Would have been nice to have better balcony furniture or at least pads for the chairs. Very close to beach and we didn’t need to buy anything for kitchen.
