Lovely Kirkwood Mountain House -33991 Dangberg Drive - Lot # 48

Located in the fabulous Kirkwood Mountain and Ski Resort, this lovely mountain house is situated on 33991 Dangberg Drive (Lot 48) and is just a few minutes from the main lodge/village and ski lifts, and only a short drive to the historic Kirkwood Inn, Caples, Silver and Kirkwood Lake. During winter Kirkwood offers a free in valley shuttle that picks up and drop off at the house and will take you to either of the lodges.

This secluded, comfortable, warm and spacious (1,584 square foot) home has high ceilings and numerous large windows for spectacular unobstructed views of Red Cliffs and Kirkwood Meadows. The house sits on 1/2 acre wooded lot and is approximately 50 paces from the road and parking area. During the winter, there is free shuttle service to the ski lifts and village.

The house is fully appointed and well maintained. There are three bedrooms and loft, with two Cal king size, one twin over double bunk bed, one double and one twin beds and three futons. There are two recliner couches in the living room and a 42" flat screen ROKU, along with small tv with ROKU device in the master bedroom.

This cabin is ideal for families who are seeking active outdoor recreational opportunities including down-hill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking and many other activities.

Reasonable daily and weekly rates. Excellent value!

This home made a nice home base for our two families with children to share meals at home and hang out when not out enjoying local adventures in the mountains (hiking and playing at lakes).

Great location, well equipped

Enjoyed our stay in beautiful Kirkwood. Perfect location for summer day hiking and visits to surrounding lakes. Property did not disappoint, was just as described, Although carpet and some furniture is beginning to show its age. Kitchen fully equipped, beds very comfortable.

We had a wonderful time staying at Jeff’s home in Kirkwood for the weekend. The house was exactly as described and clear and accurate instructions were provided to both find and get into the house. Would definitely stay again.

Great time at a great location

The house is in an excellent location surrounded by a beautiful area and spectacular views and close to hiking trails and other places of interest. It was well stocked even with kitchen utensils that are rarely found in other rentals. Even though the house showed some signs of aging we had a great time there and will repeat again whenever time permits.

Great stay--host Steven is responsive and his place is very well-organized--very clear instructions on how to check in, check out.Cabin is well outfitted: everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We were there over Labor Day and there was plenty of parking. Kirkwood is a lovely area for a spring through fall visit. We spent most our days swimming & paddling at Silver Lake which is about 15 minutes away. The Flynn Creek Circus was in town with big top pitched up the street by Kirkwood Lodge--an entertaining evening was had by all in our group who ranged from 12yrs to 72 yrs. Would love to make this a regular family adventure and vacation stay.

Nice home within kirkwood ski resort. This Home can sleep or host many folks or fams.my family traveled for a weeding in the area, The issue I had was there was zero hot water. it has one 50 gal heater for a home that can sleep at least 8 adults. clearly not going to keep up back to back showers.Luckly for the owner im a Plumber by trade and had to by pass the saftey cut off in order to keep pilot lit. kind of a pain having to worry about a hot shower.I did let owner know the issue and he did respond to thank me. A couple of off would have been nice . Im sure i saved him for not having to call a plumber while i was there.Also if you have a dog and you walk your pet, Watch out for a full time neighbor up the hill from the rental, He is watching all that goes on and does not like dogs going near his wild flowers near street even though its probally a utility easment at street, He will come out a yell at you to stay clear of his weeds.Ive rented alot of homes, One thing is to always make sure there is hot water and HVAC is working. Any other issues most can handle.

Great location and condo

The condo was well situated and we were able to get to our destinations within an hour's drive or less. The setting is lovely, and views from the windows were peaceful and serene. Jeff was very responsive to our questions and had helpful suggestions when we asked. The 3 bedroom, loft unit had more than enough room for our family of 10 and a dog. Kitchen was well stocked with basic necessities. Our family of vertically challenged individuals joked about the high locations of the bathroom hangers and hooks, but we managed quite well. We did find the softsoap containers almost empty, though. Beds were nice and firm and comfortable. The family really enjoyed all the light that filled the rooms every morning, and the quiet of the evenings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would enjoy a future return visit.

Great Spot

Excellent location of property. 10 minutes to lakes and trail heads. It’s was just my husband and me, but the place was huge and could easily manage two families. The deck outside was our favorite place to hang, but couch and bed was comfortable as well. The only con to this property was tricky to find at night. It is a very dark street so bring a flash light if you are bringing a dog with you and need to go out at night.

Perfect Location for Adventure

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home in the Kirkwood woods. The home is nicely situated up a hill overlooking the meadows, and we had great views of the sunsets highlighting the red cliffs. And perfectly located - we were within 10 minutes of trout fishing and great hiking trails. The home is comfortable with reclining couches, a king bed and a well equipped kitchen. The owner, Jeff, was very responsive and accommodating. We hope to stay here again next summer.
