Living room features include real wood stove with wood supplied. 55' smart flat screen TV with high speed internet Roku device or smart TV with cable in each bedroom and LR. Flexibility of sleeping arrangements. Bedroom 1 has a new king, single bed, Bedroom 2 has one queen bed and sleep number king bed. Bedroom 3 has a queen bed and office nook. TV's in sleeping areas and living room with high speed cable. Beautiful setting with off street parking. On the Upper Truckee River. Back yard has large fenced area for a dog and kids. BBQ and Hot tub is on back deck overlooking Forest. Seasonal tables, chairs by the chalet, river and on meadow. Hiking, walking, biking, trails from the property. Casinos featuring 24 hour entertainment, shows and gambling. Heavenly has new adventure park for summer featuring a zip line, climbing, gondola ride all sorts of outdoor fun for all ages. Wonderful Time

We had such a wonderful stay! The kitchen was fully stocked and everything was clean. We brought our 3 and 5 year old and the property was magical! Sleds were provided where we could play in the backyard and slide down hills! We were able to have snowball fights and build snowmen! The location was perfect because it was about 5 minutes to some restaurants and coffee shops!

This house was perfect for our getaway to Tahoe! Lots of space to sleep, clean organized kitchen and cozy vibes. Nice property for our doggy too! Loved the hot tub!

Perfect home away from home

This trip was our family’s first vacation in over 5 years and it was perfect. Debbie communicated right from the start of the booking and made sure that all necessary information was exchanged. She made herself available for any questions both before the stay and during. The home was cozy and clean, beds were comfy, and basics were provided such as dish soap, towels, bed sheets/blankets, cookware, dining-ware, etc. Bring your own toiletries. Everything in the kitchen is labeled so it was super easy to find everything we needed to cook. The backyard is completely fenced in so it made it very easy and fun for our dogs and kids to enjoy the yard and snow. The hot tub was a bonus and it was ready to go for our arrival. Our kids loved having the hot tub. Checking in and out process and instructions were easy and well communicated. You have grocery stores and dining options just a short 15 min drive away. We got lucky with this booking as there was a cancellation and we are so glad we were able to stay here. This will be our go-to rental for future vacations. Thanks so much, Debbie!

Perfect snowy retreat

A perfectly designed house for a snowy retreat. Lots of towels, clean and sort linens and blankets, and a kitchen with everything. The backyard opened out into a spacious “way back” with a mini sledding hill and plenty of land for igloos, snowmen, and snowball forts/snowballs. Wood copious and dry, and wood fire shockingly efficient. Too of the line stove although we were a bit flummoxed by some changes caused by the altitude. Clear communication w owner, and dog friendly with fenced in backyard a huge plus. Finally, plenty of hooks for wet gear/suits after long days outside

Perfect for Us

We were very pleased with the accommodations. Check in , check out was simple and Debbie the host was extremely accommodating. The location is great as we were able to escape the busy downtown area in the peak of summer which was a good idea. Yet, the drive to downtown was very reasonable for us utilizing Pioneer Trail. Lake Tahoe golf course is very close by car. We also brought our small dog who loved the backyard which is fenced off. A very short walk to hiking trails and right out the back door is the Upper Truckee River. Our stay was only 3 nights so we did not use the hot tub, or cook in the kitchen, but it is well supplied for that. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you so much Debbie. Scott Snowbarger

4 Day Getaway

We had a great stay at the property. It had everything we needed to get some comfortable rest and daily hiking. Made breakfast daily and not too far from some restaurants up the road. Spent the first snowy evening in the hot tub and hiked locally the first day. Took a short drive to Fallen Leaf Lake where we hiked the next day. The mountain venue is spectacular!

Dog friendly, great location

Took my niece for a quick hiking getaway - This house is perfectly located and - best of all for us - dog friendly. Fully fenced yard for the puppers to run and play and some excellent scenic walking right around the house as well - Nice to be away from more touristy and trafficked Tahoe but close enough to easily drive. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Loved the house, the beds are very comfy and the house had a cozy feel. I love how everything is labled for easy use. Love the proximity to the river and the neighborhood. The hot tub was amazing and our girls loved the driveway for riding scooters . The upstairs bedroom windows were like sleeping in a treehouse . Cant wait to come back .

Peaceful neighborhood

First time for this retired couple travelling with dogs to this area. Very pleased with the accommodations and very glad the community was away from all the traffic. Dogs loved playing with the chipmunks and swimming in the river. Hot tub was an added bonus for the cool early evenings.

Convenient, comfortable cabin

The cabin is in a lovely setting, convenient to Echo Lakes and South Tahoe. There is a lovely fenced yard and a short walk to the river which our dog enjoyed. The kitchen was very well stocked, the deck and barbecue great for dinners with the family. Only major complaint was the beds weren’t very comfortable. On a minor note, my husband and I could have used written instructions for using the television- our kids figured it out easily, but we struggled with it.

A GREAT WEEK IN CHRISTMAS VALLEY

We had a wonderful week staying in Christmas Valley. The neighborhood was perfect for walking our dogs every day. The fenced yard and doggie door were perfect for letting our dogs out and feeling safe that they were fenced in. The a/c units in the house kept us comfortable at night. The hot tub was relaxing after a day down at the lake.

Nothing was lacking

Hoping to let our five year old grandson experience snow. Turned out this was the ideal spot to snow play and relax, in and out of the hot tub. We slept well and enjoyed cooking meals and spending time at Debbie's place. Absolutely no complaints.

Family Xmas holiday

Our family of 6 including 2 dogs loved staying at Debbie's home for our Christmas holiday. She is a fantastic host, easy to communicate with and went out of her way to ensure we were set up for a great week. The house has EVERYTHING you could need, a spacious dining room table for meals and a very well organized kitchen with fantastic appliances. The home was extremely clean, the beds were comfortable and all directions were very clear which made settling in so easy. It truly felt like a home away from home. We loved the location as it provided easy access to the ski resorts and we enjoyed some great walks with the dogs. It was an unforgettable holiday. Thank you!!!!

Wonderful house with everything you need

Debbie and Hatch were great hosts, even lending us snow shoes! The house is adorable, and the layout works really well for 6 to 8 people. Young adults enjoyed the hot tub nightly! Our dog loved the snow! Everything was clean and well laid out. If one suggestion, the couch is probably ready to be replaced since the recliner gets stuck open. Will definitely rent again.

Sledding and cooking!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The kitchen has a great range and two ovens. We were able to sled in the back yard and there are a few California Snow Parks fairly close. It was great to warm up in the hot tub after our time in the snow. I would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely perfect

We had an incredible stay, the home was exactly as described and communication was accurate and timely. The property is in a quiet and beautiful setting and has everything you need. The home is welcoming and comfortable and in a fantastic location for taking advantage of the incredible mountains with some hiking and biking. My favorite part is that there is a dog bed, blanket and some toys for the 4 legged family members comfort as well!

Beat the heat

Had a week planned with our grandson and german Shepard out on the houseboat on lake camanche,but the September heat wave hit and we just can't handle 110 degrees even on the lake. VRBO to the rescue we found this great place that allowed full size dogs. Great location and 20 plus degrees cooler and they also had a couple of portable ac units for a good night's sleep. Overall a great stay.
