Charming, Relaxing, and did I mention Location?! Originally built in 1940, with the heart-pine walls, floors & ceilings still intact. Quaint "wavy board"/live edge timber exterior from local sawmill. 2BR/1BA. Fully furnished including those inviting rockers on the perfect front porch (with cedar railings by local artisan Jeff Rymer). 2-car carport. Property plumbing and wiring updated during a remodel in 2004. Great yard including what is perhaps the prettiest native holly tree in Mentone!

What makes this place so great is how easy it is to walk next door to the market if I need anything. I also love that I can walk to and from dinner if I choose.

There are multiple options for coffee in the mornings. There is a coffee maker for traditional coffee grounds (medium or coarse) and also a Keurig option for K-Cups. Coffee grounds and K-Cups are not always provided so we recommend bringing your own.

The carport is equipped with a Tesla High Power Wall Connector for Tesla Electric Vehicles.

This was a perfect stay for us. Close to everything in Mentone. We walked to the Market, The Brow for a sunset watch, and new place Cafe Pilates for a latte and muffin. Was perfect for us and our dog.

This is a great cottage and conveniently located. Check-in and communication were smooth. No complaints about the place or the host. I will say that if you are looking for a quiet, off-the-beaten-path kind of stay, this is probably not it, as it's right on state highway 117, which gets considerable traffic, including a surprising amount of 18-wheelers. But if you're looking for something in the heart of "downtown" Mentone, and right next to the Mentone Market, this is your place!

The cabin was exactly as represented in the pictures and very clean. It sits on the highway that goes through Mentone, and it is easy to walk to anything in town. Because it is so close to the highway, there is traffic noise when you're sitting on the porch. I knew this beforehand, so it wasn't a surprise nor a problem. However, inside the cabin it is quiet, and the traffic is barely noticeable. The cabin has a warm, rich feel, with old wood floors. The restoration was well done, and it is an enjoyable place to stay. The host is wonderful and replies to any questions promptly.

Wonderful peaceful cabin. My kiddo loved it. Really convenient walking over to Metone Market and the other shops as well. Great place to relaxed after hiking to Desoto Falls.

We enjoyed our stay at Timber Ridge in Mentone. The cabin is within walking distance to restaurants, Saturday farmers market & the Mentone market is next door. The cabin itself had everything we needed & plenty of space for winding down. It is a short drive to both DeSoto State Park/Falls & Little River Canyon preserve. You can enjoy a magnificent sunset at Brow Park which is a very short drive from the cabin. Thanks for sharing your home!

This cabin is in a perfect place to be close to restaurants, shops, and markets. It's very spacious and the owners provide just about anything you need to be comfortable. The best part for me, is the front porch swing, just like at grandma's!

Great cabin for a weekend getaway or a full week. Shops, restaurants, state park and hiking nearby. Cabin was wonderful and absolutely perfect for 4 adults. Clean, cozy and had everything you could want or need. Front porch swing and rockers are a must for early mornings and late afternoons. The Marketplace next door is an absolute gem. Can’t wait to go back!

I currently live in Huntsville, AL where I work full time. I am a Cloud Automation Engineer (Computer/Tech stuff! haha). The photo above is of a quick hike to Desoto Falls, less than 10 minutes from the cabin. I love to travel and fell in love with Mentone because of it's great food, friendly people, and natural beauty. Also, because it is not a very far drive from home. I am an Alabama Native.

I took a trip to Mentone in the winter of 2018-2019 and enjoyed it so much that I decided to explore getting a property there. When I got home I saw that this property had just listed and I was already in love with the location and the front porch so I decided to look into it. Fast forward to now and I am a happy owner of my own little getaway that I look forward to sharing with others.
