Explore this Mountain Getaway in National Forest. Refresh and Relax.

The Summit is a new, custom home surrounded on every side by Pike National Forest in Woodland Park, Colorado and located within a gated community. You have to look and listen hard to see or hear neighbors! The home is within walking distance to Rampart Reservoir and only 35 minutes from USAF Academy. We are also 10 miles from the base of Pike's Peak and 10 miles from The North Pole (Santa's Work Shop). Additionally, Woodland Park has a new Aquatic's Center that's just 5 miles away.

The Summit boasts unparalleled views of Pike's Peak from a Modern Scandinavian design. The open floor plan upstairs allows everyone to stay connected: be inspired as you commune with family in large living areas, or reminiscence with a glass of wine in a luxurious gourmet kitchen. For those who desire quiet time, curl up with a book on the comfy chair in our reading nook, or enjoy an intimate conversation at the downstairs bar. Music lovers will enjoy the vintage Baldwin concert grand piano; outdoor lovers can relax upon locally reclaimed furniture on the downstairs walkout patio, then take advantage of our two decks--sun bathe on the master bedroom private walkout deck, or grill and eat on the spacious walkout kitchen deck.

The Summit has radiant floor heating and is without AC as it sits at 8800 feet; so, on a warm day simply open over-sized windows if necessary and enjoy the cross breeze, access the master bedroom fan, or use various mini fans available.

Excellent location to have a micro wedding the views are amazing. The hosts are quick to respond to any concerns or needs. All the vendors in the area are all very helpful and friendly. I will definitely look to book this location again for any large family event.

We had our micro wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. The house is beautiful, clean, and had more than enough room and amenities to sleep my wedding party. Can’t thank them enough for sharing their home for my wedding.

We had the time of our lives hosting our wedding here. We were so grateful to Tyler & Eve for opening up their beautiful home to allow us and others to get married here. It was so convenient to have our family and friends stay with us, and having the venue be the house is the dream combination! So gorgeous, clean, and the best location possible. Highly recommend!

Stunning Stay

The house is absolutely stunning. And the views even better. The house has everything you could possibly need between the rooms, bathrooms, kitchen and common areas. We held our microwedding here and it was everything i could have dreamed for and more!!! I would 10/10 recommend this place for a stay or an event.

Perfect Getaway

We had the most relaxing vacation we have had in years. The home is beautiful, the views are spectacular, Tyler and Eve were very easy to work with, answered any questions we had right away, wonderful hosts! Would definitely stay again!

Best vacation rental experience!

The property is as beautiful or better than the pictures and the communication with the owner was the best we’ve had since we started using VRBO. I highly recommend this for anyone considering a vacation in Colorado.

One of the most beautiful places on earth

Amazing House with Amazing Views

What a fantastic house, with fantastic views. We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Summit. Watching the New Years Eve fireworks on Pikes Peak was especially exciting. Tyler and Eve were exceptional hosts. We look forward to staying here again.

Mountain Top Paradise!

The house is super comfortable, well-designed and decor right out of a HGTV show! We loved hiking out the back of the house and enjoying the view in from inside the house. Was just perfect to sit in the backyard, read, chat and enjoy the spectacular views. It’s was the perfect getaway.

Wedding

Had an amazing time hosting our wedding here! The home is stunning, and you obviously can’t beat the views from all over the home. I’m jealous of all the future brides who will get to have the completed reception space in the future. Tyler and his wife were extremely likable and willing to do whatever was needed for me and my family.

Micro Wedding!!

This home was absolutely AMAZING!! We were completely blown away by the view, all of our family was in awe that we were able to find such a perfect space. We had our small wedding here and couldn’t have asked for anything more, it was absolutely perfect! Highly highly recommend!!

Great house & awesome views

The views from this place are stunning and the house is beautiful and is equipped with everything you might need. We had our mirco wedding/elopement here and it was perfect. We had a few minor issues/questions but the owners were very quick to respond and help which was very appreciative. Couldn't recommend this place enough!

This is a stunning house in a drop-dead gorgeous setting—the best rental house we have stayed in. It is immaculate, spacious, its kitchen is modern, it has a chic & rustic design, and incomparable views. Tyler & Eve were gracious and helpful. Hoping we can return someday!

Breathtaking

We stayed here and had a small wedding ceremony. It is the best view and amazing backdrop!! Everyone that came just couldn’t get over the view! Tyler and Eve were great and very accommodating, we couldn’t have asked for better hosts! Don’t second guess yourself just book this home!!

Absolutely breath-taking view and a home decorated with God’s nature and peace in mind! Excellent communication with owners who went above and beyond! Our daughter’s wedding here was everything she dreamed of and more! Thank you, Tyler and Eve...you made us feel like family!

A Stunning Stay at The Summit!

The surreal grandeur and raw beauty of this property truly takes your breath away. From the interior to the exterior, every immaculate and sophisticated detail is punctuated by the beautiful and wild backdrop of Pikes Peak. We hosted an intimate wedding celebration here that will forever be stamped in our hearts. We can’t thank Tyler and Eve enough for hosting us - they were wonderful and communicative throughout the entire stay.

Family getaway

Hands down a BEAUTIFUL home!! My family & I went to celebrate my mother’s birthday. This was more than we expected, the view was breathtaking. The home is amazing & it is equipped with everything you need for your stay. Owner was attentive & responded immediately to any questions we had. The house a also had helpful tourist information. Loved every bit of it, definitely going back.

We are the Lawrence family, made up of 6: Elsa (7), Davis (5), Caius and Cruz (twin 3-year-olds), Mom (Eve), and Dad (Tyler). Tyler is an Assistant Principal and Eve is a Group Fitness Instructor/Trainer by day, and Professional Mom by day and night. Elsa is a little Mommy, and the boys are boys--dirty and destructive:)

We started our journey 3 years ago as homeowner-contractor-builders with a dream to build a home isolated from the city. Finally, after successes and failures, our dream home is complete. Adventure and exploration are important to our way of life. From hiking to rock climbing, paddle boarding to sledding, The Summit provides endless opportunities to experience and engage nature in its grandeur.

We started the building process with an essential purpose in mind, which was to share our home with others so that they might experience freedom. Freedom to experience nature without hesitation; freedom to be alone and quiet; freedom to reflect with loved ones; freedom to escape life's expectations; freedom to refresh and reset; freedom to have fun.

It is our hope, desire, and prayer that anyone who visits The Summit will find what they are looking for. We are honored and excited to provide an unforgettable experience.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

Eve grew up on this mountain, often hiking to the undeveloped property for prayer time. The Summit was at first a piece of land upon which the county said we'd never be able to build. Eve and I, before and during marriage, would often hike to The Summit with dreams of a future that felt palpable but sill impossible. For five years, family worked tirelessly with and against "the powers that be" to subdivide the land. And years later, dreams and prayers were actualized.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

We were unsure whether or not to put a TV in the upstairs great room, and after a week of living in the home, we realized that our Pike's Peak view was better than any hulu original or Netflix documentary. Beyond that, our favorite moments are sitting with the kids on the great-room couch, identifying forms and characters of the ever-changing clouds shaping Pike's Peak. The Summit has centered us to regain what's perhaps been lost in an overly-busy and technological-driven society: we value the importance of slowing down, embracing conversation, and appreciating what it means to be an old soul.
