Renovated home with new kitchen! Casually Elegant family compound set on a huge double lot (approx. 15,000 sq. ft), boasts 3775 sq. ft of bright, wide-open, spacious, free flowing living. (3775 includes mother-in-law suite)

This is a unique property that has a mother-in-law suite that can be rented separately if available. (NOT AVAILABLE through December 2024)

Rent the main house (3 bedroom, 2.5 baths) that sleeps 8 (or 10 if you include a sleeper sofa)

Current listing is only for main house and quote is only for main house.

The mother-in-law suite has a separate entry.

You can bike to the beach in about 5-10 minutes as it is just 2 miles.

The king sized master suite, contains a world class walk-in closet, the extra touch of crown molding, sand blasted glass doors to closet and bathroom plus French doors at entry.
Complimenting the suite is the master’s luxury bathroom with a 60 gallon Jacuzzi tub, large walk-in tiled two headed shower, tumbled stone tile flooring, siltstone tops and solid wood bead board cabinets.

Would book again!

We loved our time at Dave and Molly’s. The house was super spacious and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was a nice quiet getaway and super close to Siesta Key beaches. We’d definitely come back!

Best Hosts Ever

This home is beautiful in an awesome neighborhood. The neighbors are so friendly and welcoming. There are so many great things to say about this rental, but the absolute best is how awesome the hosts are. David went well above his call of duty to ensure we had a great vacation. If you are planning a trip to Siesta Key Beach area I would highly suggest you rent this property!! The beds are all comfortable, the hosts have thought of the small details such as toiletries, games and coloring books for the kids, bikes, beach toys and chairs. I can’t say enough good things about this place!! Rent this property and I promise you will not be disappointed!

Excellent hosts

The property was clean, spacious, and welcoming. Close enough to siesta key/ lido key beaches if you have a rental car. Right off main road so easy access to every store you can imagine. Would stay with them again when I come back!

Amazing getaway rental!!!

This home had it all! Super spacious and in a quiet area. We had a party of six and everyone had their own space. It is absolutely beautifully done.

Great place and wonderful hosts.

We stayed in this house for our vacation for one of my best friends bachelor get away. The hosts are great and very helpful. The hosts have thought of just about everything! When I visit Sarasota in the future. I won't hesitate to stay here.

Perfect location..fabulous house and tremendous welcoming host.

What a great experience from start to finish. David went above and beyond to meet our every need with a disabled husband needing special attention to cleanliness. Wonderful house in a quiet neighborhood with use of bicycles to get us to the park with kids and to the gorgeous beach nearby. When you choose this house every need is met for a terrific stay. Special memories made all because of these superhosts.

Bike to Siesta Key

The house was in great condition and the owners were great to work with, answered questions promptly. We rented bikes for the week, which was great! We could bike the neighborhood, found a farmer's market in the local park and easily bike to Siesta Key and the beach. We had a great time.

Family wedding

This home was perfect for our family wedding at Phillipi estate. The owners were great, even showing our daughter around the home as she and her family were first to arrive. Lots of space in the house. Also enjoyed meeting Milo next door. I highly recommend this home. So close to Siesta key.

Excellent experience

The pot owners were great to work with and extremely accommodating. They assisted with receiving some items for our grandson traveling with us. The property included everything we needed and more. We have family in the area and we anticipate scheduling with this property many times in the future

Siesta Key Getaway

We absolutely loved our experience at Molly & Dave’s house on Meadowood. As a family of 5, we could easily spread out and take advantage of all that Siesta Key has to offer. We enjoyed seeing geckos in the backyard and having breakfast in the courtyard. The home is centrally located to many conveniences (groceries, shopping) as well as to the beaches. We rode the bikes provided and used the various beach toys. Donna and Milo next door are so welcoming and friendly too!

This is a large comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. It has a modern well equipped kitchen and it is very clean. The hosts are local and easy to communicate with. I will rent this property again.

Great Experience

We really enjoyed staying here. There was plenty of room for the 5 of us to spread out. The location is close to everything. The home is very comfortable and well taken care of. The owners were very easy to get in touch with and very accommodating! Donna was a great "neighbor". She had very good recommendations since we were new to the area. Another perk was Milo the sweetest resident pup.We were missing our dog and he made it feel even more like home! We had a great spring break!

Roomy and open, great for families

One of the best Vrbo houses we’ve stayed in! Spacious rooms, HUGE kitchen, big washer/dryer, a cabinet of books and Lego’s for the kids! Some places we’ve stayed are stingy with supplies — not here! Kitchen is generously stocked and there is plenty of TP and even a little cupboard of extra things you may have forgotten! A short drive to Siesta Key in a quiet neighborhood. There are chairs and a beach umbrella and beach toys available for the kids. Molly was great! After we left, I realized I had left my bag of toiletries in their bathroom. She packed it up and mailed it to me the next day! Good communication, spacious house, comfortable beds — we hope to come back some day!

Great Stay

The location was great. Very convenient to major roads, but on a quiet, safe street. Home was large, clean and well-maintained. It also had a nice yard. Communication with the owners was excellent. Would definitely stay there again.

Wonderful experience

We feel so lucky we decided on this rental house for our trip to Siesta Key. David was incredibly easy to communicate with, responding quickly and kindly with any of our questions. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Excellent value especially for a popular destination. We loved being a 10 minute drive from Siesta Key beach and the many restaurants and shops on Siesta Key. Would highly recommend especially to a family with young kids who could use some space for the little ones.

Fabulous home!

We were attending a wedding in Siesta Key and were so pleased we booked this gem. The location was perfect. The house was extremely spacious and worked well for our family. The owners checked in with us throughout our stay to see if we needed anything. We had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend renting this house for your stay in the Sarasota area.

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

We booked a 3 week stay. The GOOD- 1. Location - Conveniently located near Siesta Key. This is the best thing about the property. 2. Arrival - Molly was polite and professional via email. Met David at the House, who was flexible in meeting time. Oddly, David instructed us to do the house laundry for him at checkout. The BAD- 1. BUGS in the BED the first night!!!!! Laying in bed the first night bugs started flying in my face to the light on the Ipad screen. I turned on the light and found 5 bugs on the headboard! I got up and they were throughout the house! I spent an hour trying to kill all I could find. I texted David who was apologetic and sent an exterminator the next morning. 2. Noise - This old house is quite noisy. The hvac is right outside the thin walls of the master bedroom and is extremely loud when running. It makes it hard to sleep. Same with the water heater in the laundry room. 3. No Privacy - Front door is glass and has no shade. At night it shows right in to the common area where you watch tv. (there is only one tv in the house - circa 2005). Also, you share the house with another tenant - the owner now discloses this fact - it was not disclosed when we booked. With the thin walls, we heard her talking to her mother, eating, etc. We also had a joint router which was a problem. 3. Light - The master bedroom doors have glass panes that open to the common area, so there is no privacy and the doors open to a common courtyard that stays lit all night long on account of the tenant. There is no way to shut out the light when you sleep. 4. Bikes - When we booked, the ad promised 2 bikes, which we never got despite us confirming them via email prior to arrival. We ended up with 1 old Huffy kid bike (24" tire) and no other operable bikes. The UGLY.. DAVID SCREAMED AT US AT CHECKOUT! Checkout per VRBO was 11am but David mistakenly thought it was 10am. David called screaming at 10:30 as to why we were not out by 10 and that we were delaying his cleaner and being rude. He demanded an apology. I even sent him the screenshot showing 11am but he didn't care. We can only speculate, but we believe David’s anger toward us started when we denied his request to come through the house with prospective renters. We were working remotely with confidential materials through the house, and didnt feel comfortable with people coming thru the house. This appeared to anger David and he changed. That last day was very disturbing for us

Home away from home in Sarasota

Let's face it, Sarasota is a busy place in February because of the weather, attractions and activities that are absolutely wonderfull. But if you are looking for a clean, quiet, and comfortable place to relax after a busy day this house is a perfect choice! It is a classic Florida home format with lots space to spawl out, an exceptional kitchen and lots of comfortable beds, chairs and couches. Molly and David (the owners) were exceptionally helpful during our stay with suggestions about things to do and places to see. The beautifully landscaped neighborhood is a great place to walk and located next to a park that is worth the short walk. We have stayed in beach homes for over 40 years and this gets our highest ratings!

David and Molly Jackson have owned the property for 25 years and prior to that, it was owned by Molly's mother and grandmother. They are local business owners and adore living in Sarasota with their 4 children. 1747 Meadowood is the home Molly was raised in during her high school and college years.
