Welcome to "Pioneer Creek" Located near Cataloochi Ski Resort/Ranch in the heart of Maggie Valley. This Beautiful 1850's authentic Appalachian log cabin sits on a lush, walkable acre, filled with the sounds of a rushing, cascading creek. The creek wraps around the property perimeter, bringing a peaceful and melodic serenity, while you rock on the covered front porch. Unwind under the stars on the porches or enjoy story time around the fire pit. Enjoy this Civil War era cabin with all the modern comforts of home, such as a fully equipped large kitchen, flat screen TVs in every room and Charter Spectrum internet Wi-Fi. This property is located only minutes from the ski lifts and downtown Maggie Valley. It is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Waynesville and Asheville. Everyone is welcome, kids and pets included!

The place was so cute. The decor was enchanting. Hearing the creek everyday was a joy. The location is a perfect distance from the main strip in Maggie Valley. The house could have been cleaner. It was dusty, and there was dog hair on the bed. The listing states there is a hot tub which was a selling point for my husband. There is no hot tub, and the pond/creek is not on the property. The place where the hot tub did sit is slippery. We had a great time together, but would have appreciated a more accurate description of the house.

Loved the property, just wish we could’ve spent more time at the cabin enjoying the sounds of the creek from the back porch…..it was like a steady rain even from inside the cabin.Cabin was tastefully decorated, clean, and comfy, with a bit of whimsy it the kitchen - so cute!All the amenities we needed. It does also have a Keureg for your favorite pods.Didn’t get to see elk but we did get a daily visit by the rabbit. :-)Thanks, Patrick, for the great communication. You managed to answer my questions before I had a chance to ask.It’ll be our first choice for our next trip back.

It was perfect for what we wanted to experience. Beautiful historic establishment, breath taking views, every thing you could imagine when wanting a true Maggie Valley experience. Host was great. Cabin was clean, cozy and inviting. Thank you!

Really great experience but listing was a little misleading. Hot tub had been removed and you couldn’t see the creek only hear it. Overall we loved it though. Would definitely recommend it

We loved the location and the beautiful cabin! It was the perfect space for our family of 5. Very cozy and comfortable. We loved the proximity to Cataloochee. We were also so blessed to see several elk in the morning right out our front door.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. This is one of the nicest, coziest and most relaxing stay we have had in a very long time. We will definitely be booking again. If you want a getaway where you can relax and just enjoy your family then this is the place for you.

Unfortunately there was a maintenance issue with the property and a cleanliness problem. We did not spend the night and left soon after arrival. The property owner was very apologetic and eventually we were refunded our money. These issues should have been resolved prior to another renter. And by the way, there is no hot tub or dishwasher. And be careful of the steps.

The cabin is beautiful! The location was quiet and peaceful! We loved being able to hear the creek from the living room. Having coffee on the front porch swing was the best! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying again in the near future!

Friends get away

We had a nice relaxing stay. Loved the old cabin and the unique feel of the property and was the perfect place to set outside on the porch with a cup of coffee.
