A wonderful townhouse 'Johnson's Pied-a'- terre' in the heart of the Historic French Quarter District. Tucked away in the courtyard of the historic ''Lodge Alley Inn '' with a fountain and gas lights to add to the quaintness of this very special place. This alley connects East bay to State Street.
Relax in your own walled and gated private courtyard, or sit on the balcony and just enjoy the sound of the fountain or flicker of the gas lights. Before walking steps to the finest restaurants Charleston has to offer. Only two blocks from the Old Straw Market and Water Front Park on the harbor. You are right where you need to be in this remarkable location to enjoy all downtown Charleston has to offer.

The townhouse has just been newly furnished and sports fabulous original wide plank heart of pine floors throughout. A brand new kitchen installed winter 2023 with top of the line appliances...But who cooks in Charleston when there are so many great Restaurants.
Two bedrooms upstairs one with a California King Bed and the other a queen bed, private baths for both. A small balcony from the Front bedroom with view of the fountain. The living room has a half bath.
The townhouse works nicely for two couples. ....When you enquire please let me know how your group is made up..singles, children, couples ...and age range please...Helps me Accept your booking faster. Thanks

This is the 2nd time staying this property separated by 16 years and hands down, it still is the best. Wonderful warm homey feeling well appointed and clean as a whistle. Great courtyard for coffee or wine.New to me this trip (totally not the owner’s fault) was the rolling carts of housekeeping by the adjacent Lodge Alley Inn.I’d stay again just maybe in the springtime.

This was the perfect spot to stay... beautiful home, centrally located, with excellent communication! Parking was the only issue we had since there is no parking onsite.

This was a very well-appointed, updated home. It was clean and having 3 bathrooms was a huge bonus! This home had more amenities than most rentals (bathroom supplies, hangers, etc.). We thoroughly enjoyed the private patio as well. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Charleston. Very close to City Market and no more than a 15 minute walk to most areas of the city we wanted to see as first-time visitors.

This is an amazing home. We were here for a few days last year & immediately decided to return for a longer stay this year. Sharon & Tom are very responsive to questions & offer great tips for good dining. The location could not be better. We walked most everywhere.

We stayed here with great friends while in town for a wedding and absolutely loved it. The location couldn’t be better — close to everything yet peaceful and charming. The home itself was beautiful, spotless, and perfectly appointed for a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Charleston and would highly recommend this VRBO to anyone visiting. It’s the perfect place to experience all the charm this amazing city has to offer!

The location was close to everything… we parked the car and walked everywhere! The house was the cleanest rental I’ve ever stayed in, I wish I had a cleaning crew as good as the one managing this property. I would stay here again!

Charleston is awesome. The best experience we've had with any of our VRBO adventures. Lodge Alley is absolutely lovely. The hosts provide all the amenities that you could need and more. The location is outstanding with easy walking to dining and shopping. We will absolutely be visiting Charleston again and this is the place we will stay.

Absolutely outstanding. The perfect location to enjoy all the offerings of Charleston. Close to and easily walkable to all landmarks, shopping, and restaurants. The house was gorgeous, spotless, well appointed and very comfortable. Sharon is a great owner and communicator. If you a planning as trip to Charleston, don’t look anywhere else.

This house represented the feeling of Old Charleston perfectly! Beautiful decor and tranquil feeling inside and out. Great location to restaurants, bars and of course King Street shopping. Friends who didn’t stay with us have already decided to book for an upcoming trip just from word of mouth and pictures. You will not be disappointed.

Location,Location,Location.....We walk to everything! Our home is so close to some of the very best restaurants in the city..... we are in the Historic French quarter...which is just amazing to walk around...or take a carriage only a block away...walk the market also a block away. The Battery 3 min walk..where the largest homes along the water are. We meant it Location , Location, Location.
